Kara tilted her head, now that was a problem, "Perhaps if you used your hands and parted the rain, as if you were wiping it away. Imagine it... as something tangible that you could move."
Hoping that would be easier than wishing or thinking it gone.

Rhea did as she was told, putting her hands together and putting them in the middle of the rain, and then pushing them to each side as if wiping the rain away ... but rather than disappearing, the rain simply spread until it made a sort of curtain between herself and Kara.
Rhea whimpered softly and looked up at Kara, feeling stupid and lost.

"Actually that's kind of neat," Kara mused looking at it.
She tried to think, well diluting it by spreading it out wasn't going to work... obviously from the looks of it. Kara thought... and thought.
"Well I guess you'll have to try and gather it up and take it into yourself. Since it goes move you might be able gather it up into your hands like a bowl and then try to take it into yourself by squishing it against yourself or your hands."

Rhea reached out and tried to put her arms around the rain, almost as if she was trying to hug it to herself, but the moment her hand came into contact with it it disappeared without a trace.
Rhea stared, her arms still outstretched, then blinked up at Kara in confusion.
"What happened?" she asked, her tone completely perplexed. "I didn't even do anything ..."

Kara giggled at that, it seemed like having her magic become back a part of her was easier than Kara had thought.
"I think.. when you hugged your magic to yourself it went back," she reached out and poked Rhea's chest, "Inside of you."

Rhea blinked in surprise and looked down at her chest where Kara had poked her. "Inside of me?" she asked in amazement. "Completely inside of me?"
Her brow furrowed tightly. "But why didn't it work the first time when I was trying to make it go away?"

Kara looked thoughtful, "I could be any number of reasons... one of them could be because I didn't explain what it was I was doing when I did it."
She did just do it and Rhea simply copied. So it made sense in a way.
"After all it just looked like I was squishing the light, and you were going to gather them up to put them back inside of you."

Rhea looked thoughtful. Yes, that made sense ...
"Maybe if you tell me what you're doing next time?" she suggested innocently. "Then maybe I can do it too ..."
Of course, it had also been a first try, and first tries, she had discovered, rarely went well.

There was a small laugh, Kara could understand that, indeed that would be the best.
"I'll make sure to do just that."
So the lesson continued with Kara helping Rhea with her magic, while Miyu sat a bit ways away so she could work on her own magic. Mainly because she now had reserves to work with, and needed an outlet, which she did by making little snow angels in front of her.
Toshiro was still out somewhere running by the time it was nearing lunch.

Rhea worked hard with Kara, and it wasn't long before she could feel within herself a better sense of control, of being in control, though the magic was still as great as it had always been.
She didn't notice when Adonai left the barracks and began to make his way towards them. Then again, he was coming up behind her ... and she was rather distracted. Her wings were still out, folded against her back, though her cloak was now bunched between them rather than covering them.
"So?" Adonai smiled as he approached the group. "How did it go?"

"It's going well," Kara replied looking up.
She hadn't heard Adonai coming so she was a bit suprised, but glancing at the sky, she could see it was nearly time for lunch, which meant the children were going to be hungry soon.
The angel smiled, "Rhea is getting the basics of control."

Rhea hadn't had any idea that her father had been anywhere near them, but when she heard her father's voice, she whirled around excitedly.
"Papa!" she squealed, scrambling to her feet and throwing her arms around his waist.
Adonai chuckled softly and lifted Rhea into his arms, careful of her wings. "Hello sweetheart," he smiled, hugging her warmly. "You're all wet."
He smiled at Kara. "The basics of control ... but she hasn't been wet before, has she found something new that she can do?"

"Make it rain," Kara replied wryly.
That was the best way she could put it, but in reality it was as if Rhea had brought every aspect of spring here, including the damp smell and the spring rain itself.

Rhea was playing with the clasp of Adonai's cloak and doing her very best not to look at her father, despite the fact that her face was right next to his.
Adonai chuckled softly. "Now that's interesting," he smiled. "New talents." He poked Rhea's nose gently with his finger. "Who knows what else you can do?" he grinned at her.
Rhea wiggled her nose and lay her head on her father's shoulder. "Not me," she replied simply.

"Now that we'll just have to find out with time," Kara replied with a giggle, "Will you and Rhea be staying for lunch?"
Since it was that time, and she didn't know if the two had other things to do for the after noon. Kara was already thinking she would have to move Toshiro and Miyu's lessons to the evening so she could just work with Rhea.
