Tim pulled the bag over the boat, swinging himself on deck as well. He approached the front, taking the wheel.
"That's what I was thinking."
After Kai started up the boat, they sped off for the island.

Once they reached the island Kai hopped out. She slung her backpack over her shoulder and began climbing over the debris.
"Tim, lets start at the east end of the island and work our way across. See what we can find."

Tim lept from the boat with his bag over his shoulder. He looked to Kai and nodded quietly. Over the next ten minutes they walked silently through the wreckage. It was hard to believe that all the Titan's memories were sealed within this mess, apart from a few survivors.
He reached a large slab of rock and let his bag drop to the ground.
"Kai, come look at this."

Kai came around the corner and looked at the slate like boulder.
"Starfire! It has something written by starfire."
The first thing she read. She then looked down to the signature saying that it was her that wrote it. It also stated that she was the last of the titan's.
"Tim... She's not the last. We are here, and..."
She stood there and she looked towards the ocean. She took a deep breath as the idea that the Titan's no longer exist sank in. She felt empty, a cold breeze blew by as the sun began to set. A tear fell down her cheek, and she wiped it away quickly.

Tim slowly walked closer to the memorial and read it through. Shortly there after, his knees buckled from his weight and he knelt infront of it, bowing his head. He ran his hand across the words etched 'last of the Titans'. Tim could feel his throat catch as he read those words in his head over and over again.
After several moments, his hand subconsciously slid down one of the more pronounced creases in the rock. Tim paused, and looked closer at what he was doing. With that, his fingers continued down the etching, this time purposefully following the line down the stone. Near the base, he stopped and stared at some additional etches in the rock. They were small, but intentional. Tim blinked, his eyes widening a little.
"We're not the last either-"
He murmered, almost to himself as he stared at the base of the memorial. A tiny glint of metal caught his eye, and Tim's attention was drawn to the small bits of rubble and debris on the ground. Infront of him there laid the back of a scratched up Titan's communicator. Just the back. He reached down and picked it up. After doing so Tim saw a small metal piece was settled in the dirt under the comm back. He picked it up as well and fiddled with the two pieces, fitting the small metal part into the larger back.
"Two pieces that fit together..."
He said, his voice drifting as he turned in his hand the parts he had put back together.

Kai felt the wind, but her concentrated thoughts blocked out the sounds around her. For those moments she felt silence thinking of what would become of them, their fates in this world as titan's, as heroes and as people. She looked over at Tim who spoke. She quickly caught on even though she didn't hear everything he said and she stood by him looking at the peices of communicator he flipped over in his hand.
"What, that can't be... is it a coinsidence that they fit together?"
She looked at the peices and sure enough they were parts of a titan's communicator. Just like the ones from her world and probably Tim's as well.

"Not likely."
If it hadn't been for the two small initials carved in the rock, he would have thought the same thing. Tim looked at the ground around his feet, and sure enough he found another small part, a bolt. He fit it in place and looked up at Kai with a new look on his face: an intrigued expression.
He looked back down and searched to see if he had to sift through the smaller scraps of twisted metal to find another. A couple feet away he saw what he was looking for and added a screw to the slowly developing communicator.

Kai followed Tim and jumped ahead noticing the distance of the parts. They were all evenly set apart in the rubble in a path. It zigzagged across to the Southwestern side of the island. She got ahead of Tim a few yards. It was beginning to get dark and she was able to find a small lightly glistening object. When she walked up to it, there was a T on it.
"I found the front Tim."
Kai said over to tim who was a few yards away.

Tim caught up with Kai and knelt down next to the metal top. He was full of anxiety as he picked it up. Scratched over the 'T' was an arrow, which Tim's eyes followed to what looked like a caved-in pile of metal and concrete. He clapped on the top to the communicator and tossed it to Kai.
"This way."
He approached the heap and ducked down to feel a current of air. Tim whispered to her.
"It led us here."

Kai caught the communicator and looked at it. She turned it over in her hands as she followed behind Tim. After it became too much of a problem she placed it in her pocket as they crawled deeper into this hole that existed in the debris.
"Tim are those stairs?"
Kai believed she spotted a flight of stairs.
"That should be right. About this place in the tower was the stairs. But it can't be that there are Titan's in the tower still."
Gar sat there watching the assassin who sat there defiantly as he has been for 3 days.
"Are you going to say something today? Or do you still want to keep your vow of silence?"
Gar looked up at Kon who was just beginning to rest now that it was his shift to watch the man.

Tim snuck down the steps, the collapsable bo-staff already in his hand, unextended. He kept his voice low and to a whisper.
"We should hope... but in case anyone else found this stairway, we should stay alert."
It looked like more of the Tower was in tact than it appeared on the surface...
Conner turned his head to look at Gar. He had been trying to fall asleep after his last shift, but now he was fully awake.
"Someone's inside the stairway."

Gar stood up and walked over to the door. He looked at his comm then back at Kon.
"The security hasn't gone off yet. Could they be Titans?"
Gar looked through the the door and heard their footsteps from a far.
"Kon, I will stop them from getting further and lock this door for good measure. Watch this guy till I get back."
Gar transformed into a green timber wolf running down the hall towards the two dark figures. When he came upon them he growled and snarled with his fur standing up on end to see their reactions.

There was a deep growling sound infront of the two as they reached the bottom of the stairs. On instinct, Tim snapped out his staff to its full length and held it in front of him defensively. It was very dark, and they could mostly only see shapes, but he could see a that a large animal was standing before them. It didn't sound too happy either.
"How did you get in here?"
Tim asked, not really expecting an answer, but mostly speaking his thoughts outloud.

Gar growled violently when he paused to smell the air. The first thing Gar could smell was blood. Tim's blood. "Could it possibly be Tim, the staff the smell." Gar thought to himself. Gar stepped back growling a little less. Allowing them to get further into the room where there was a little more light from the emergency lights down the hall.
Kai looked as the wolf stepping into a brighter area. The wolf was green.
"Tim could that be beast boy?"
She whispered standing behind him.

Tim lowered his staff a little, also catching the odd coloring, even in the dark room. The creature turned out to be a wolf.
"I... think it is- Gar?"
