Pulling the thin cloak around her slender body, Renata tried to close her eyes and get some peace and quiet to think. Night was falling here in the valley, and things might get ugly outside, so she had to be careful of who she spoke to, or was seen by. But she should be safe for the night.
It was strange, after spending several months with her new friends, to wake up and most of them, well not there and then to be here by herself. But maybe that was what was best. Cause, when she thought about it, her powers caused lots of trouble for those around her, so it was best she was away from all people then. Besides, no one wanted to be around a girl like her. It wasn't hard to believe she was just bad luck.

Jessica ran into the valley slightly out of breath. She had made the mistake of resting along the road and had lost sight of Ren for just long enough. Jessica had changed her way of following throughout the journey for sensible reasons. The petite young woman felt like a sore thumb she seemed to stick out so much. The rich red of her clothing mixed with the soft raven hued hair made her seem regrettably noble. Her mind was not on this or else she might have tried to change her garments. She was able to get deep into the valley looking through faces finding none familiar when she felt a slight tug at her side. Without a beat her dainty fingers gripped a thick hairy wrist and sent a man flying to the ground. "Hands off thiefy or else I'll rip you a new coin purse." A bit out of character but that was to be expected from someone who was already frustrated with a search.

Rising from her spot on the small dwelling, Renata decided it was best to go get directions, knowing fully well, if she wasn't careful, she could end up in the middle of the desert. Having been their once already, she knew all to well how easy it was to get lost or stranded in the boiling temperatures of day or freezing temperatures of the night. And she preferred to stay alive. And if she was already lost inside, being lost outside was certainly not going to help matters.
So rising up, and slipping out of there, the small girl made her way towards the busier parts, where a small market could be found. Of course, they would want something to barter for the information, but she could always see what she could come up with. Knowledge was just as valuable if it was the right kind. Maybe she had some information that they would be willing to haggle for.
Walking around quietly, Ren was approached a small stall, when a familiar voice floated across the air. Ears perking up, head turning ever so slightly in bewilderment, Renata's jaw nearly fell open. Was that? No way. "Jessica?" she chanced, knowing she would sound like an absolute idiot talking to some random stranger if it wasn't her, which was more likely then not. But her aura was the same- she looked the same, and sounded like her. So unless she as having hallucinations from lack of water, then it had to be her, right?

Jessica froze for an instant upon hearing her name. No way was she that lucky. She turned her head setting her amber eyes on the visage of Renata. With out a beat Jessica tackled Renata in and large hug, "Ren! Where have you been. I saw you in Belkan and then you disappeared, do you know how rude that is?I don't think you were paying attention though so I really can't hold it against you." Jessica rattled on in her usual tone and speed slowly drifting further and further off topic, "What was I saying? Oh yeah, so I leave on for a little while and the next thing I know you are completely off the radar. You are one hard little mouse to track down. So did I miss anything?" The smile across Jessica's face was the brightest it had been since she had left with Jillin and it wasn't even forced as she moved a rebellious strand of black hair behind her ear.

Okay, yeah, it was Jessica. But before that really had much time to register in her head- a completely abundantly excited Jessica was bounding towards her in a great tackle like embrace. A small musical and whispery laugh escaped her lip with joy- happy to see a familiar face again. It wasn't an every day thing for her apparently. She let Jessica rattle on about trying to find her again and seeing her in Belkan, which, mus have only been today right? She had been completely zoned, too many thoughts moving around her little head to think someone was actually calling her name.
She was just glad to see Jessica s happy. Ren couldn't help, but notice she looked, really, really happy. She practically glowed with it. Once Jessica took a breath, making Renata add another small giggle, she tried to answer that, well questions.
"Well actually, I've been... sleeping? Unconscious I guess for who knows how long... since I got back from the spire and stopping Zen's last deal at the spire... and I actually woke up today... I think," she said having absolutely no idea how long that would have been. She still didn't know Zen was dead or there was a new threat submerging the land. All she knew was everyone, almost everyone, she had last seen, were not there when she awakened.

Jessica blinked a few times letting what Ren was saying sink in, "Oh then you don't know about what happened. You see after I left to go meet Jilin some strange stuff happened and Jilin pulled myself and the other members of his guard into some place called the void. I don't know anything really about it except that it was really really boring. We stayed there for a while till Zen was defeated and then we returned. I haven't been back for long either. Truth is that I don't even know what is going on in this world right now." Jessica took a half step back not wanting to crowd her friend, yeah friend. The word seemed foreign for some reason like it had been missing from her vocabulary for a long time, too long perhaps. "So I guess that makes the two of us equal as far as knowledge goes. So where were you going anyway. I mean you seemed to be heading somewhere earlier."

A small musical laugh escaped Renata's pale lips, shaking her head. "I really have no idea where I am going. Trust be told, I was wondering where everyone went. I kind of woke up around a lot of people I don't know. Kind of freaked me out I guess," Ren said, her voice fading through the dry air. Memories brought back bad things- not knowing. Being little and knocked out, she hadn't known... had not known if her last two siblings had survived a fire... did not know where she had been. Had awoken tied up and surrounded by people she had no a clue who they were. It was scary. And although the situation wasn't nearly the same- the parallel similarities still brought back that feeling of needing to go, needing to run. And this time, she had been looking for her friend in a way, though she never expected to find one so quickly. But she was happy. Because Jessica was... well. Amazing to say the least. There was much more to her. Sure she could get a bad temper if you pissed her off, but who didn't? Besides, she was one of the sweetest people you would ever meet besides that small fact. She still couldn't believe Jessica was just as lost and confused as herself to the world today. At least they were in this together though.

"Oh." Jessica bit her lower lip in thought for a second or two, "So what should we do then. I mean I didn't think past finding you. Kind of single minded when I'm determined." She giggled lightly thanks to the statement. "I mean I guess if you really wanted to we could stick around here for some reason but truth be told the place seems kinda dead. You know with all the angry people who try to steal from young innocent little ladies." Jessica winked amused with herself after the last comment. She turned her head to look at the thief from earlier but recognized that the man was gone. To bad really she wanted to punish him a little more but he was gone. Oh well at least there had been enough people around to witness the incident that she should not have to worry about them all that much.

((sorry. Tomorrow's the last day before my brother goes off to west point. Spending a lot of time together right now))
An airy laugh escaped the black haired girl in agreement. She hadn't thought much either, beyond finding her friends. Though, several of them were still missing. Synthic for one, was still no where to be found. She wasn't sure where she would go, but obviously something was up. Seeing the way Kir was hurt, and for her not to be around when she was so attached said something enough. "I would have to agree," she replied, a smile on her pale lips as her eyes lingered to where she had thrown that thief. "We should probably keep moving," she added, eyes trailing to the sky to determine how much more light they would get before tomorrow.

Jessica turned her eyes to the sky noting the various colors starting to form. She thought for a second and it seemed that some of her power had not yet recovered from the little trip into the void. Jilin had warned all of them about that. She would have to limit herself until they fully returned o her, "I don't think I can teleport both of us right now so we should probably find a place to rest for the night. Good news is that I think I can locate at least one member of our old little group. Synthic should still have the little amulet Jilin gave her and if so I know how to track her down we can probably even see her once I get rested enough, and if we find Synthic then the others should fall in place rather quickly. I mean if you are okay with using that method." Jessica wasn't sure, she remembered the lack of trust that she had received thanks to her affiliations but Jilin had never seemed that bad to her. She could never understand why the wolf had wanted her to choose between Jilin or Ren. Was it impossible to have both. It didn't seem so. Either way they at least had some sort of plan.

Renata nodded, eyes trailing after Jessica's to the sky. "That's fine, take it easy. I think I know a place. No one was there. Looked like an abandoned shelter. Probably camp there for the night," she said with a small smile, her eyes turning to that of sky blue, complimenting her raven black hair. "and of course I'm okay with that. Any plans better then done," she said with a small shrug of the shoulders. It was kind of ironic. Neither of them really knew what was going on around here having both been other where for the last while. Jessica in a void and herself in a comatose like state. But at least they had each other. She could trust Jessica. She had been her friend for a while now. Longer then anyone but Daniel it would seem... Daniel... where was he? He hadn't been there when she had awoken... must have gone off somewhere too. They'd find him hopefully after Synthic. Maybe she had some answer.
