Aristodemos, who was looking at the people surveying the fliers, pointed at Teddy.
"Hey, you! Stop doing that! It takes forever to convert money here, and I only have so many funds!"

"A lot could've happened since we last saw her," I said matter-of-factly. "For all we know, she is missing. Someone may have been expecting her - someone that knew her well - and she didn't show up so... I don't know. I say we call this number." I gestured to the bottom of the flier.

Teddy flinched at some stranger shouting at him. But the request that he pay for adhesive tape? Seriously? That kind of ticked him off. "Don't be a dumbass. Not everybody's going to be able to write down your info. You've got a million of these things up anyway. Do you want people looking for this person or not? Cause if you don't care enough to lose a piece of tape and a sheet of paper over it, neither do I." Teddy quite carefully, quite deliberately put the flier back where it was. Then he stared up defiantly at Aristodemos.

I stood behind Teddy defensively and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"You're the person that's posting these fliers?" I asked, arching an eyebrow. I tried - and barely succeeded - to keep my tone neutral. I didn't like the fact that he had yelled at Teddy. My Teddy. I drew him into a protective hug, arms locking around his waist. I never took my gaze from the stranger.

I looked at the guy furiously, knowing full well my bright orange sweater would deter him from fearing me. I jutted my left hip to the side and watched carefully.

Teddy didn't feel very intimidating either at his full five foot four height. He felt even less so with Markus' arms around him, accompanied by that hazy distraction from the rest of the world effect that Markus had on him, but he still glared for all the world like he could beat this guy down. And he was fairly certain he could do no such thing, but attitude was half the battle, right? Maybe.
((I have to leave soon to see a movie. I should theoretically be back before Rita.))

Akira's dark blue eyes scanned the blackened streets. She felt at home for the first time since she had been turned over a hundred years ago. She causually dragged her slender and pale skinned hand through her long sily black hair. She looked from club to club. Stip club, comedy club. So many to choose from. Sighing she finally made her choice and made her was towards Danse Macabre. She entered and walked right to the bar not paying attention to any of the people in the dance club. She was in need of a drink. She ordered her favorite type of blood and sipped eagerly at it when the bartender handed her the drink.

"It would be in your best interest to tell me where she is, should you know. However, since it's so late at night, my senses would be muddled.Tell me tomorrow."
He left.

I reached out and grabbed the man's arm.
"Wait," I said, voice heavy with command. "Why are you looking for her? Who are you? What do you want with Sam?" I expected him to answer every question I asked. If he didn't, he'd regret it.

"Sam? So she's changed her name...? And I am an incubus. I look for my human victims if they try to escape me. I am looking for Brigid Jackal, the woman in the picture. Though if she's changed her name to Sam, then I guess it's Sam Jackal."

I gasped. "Your victim?" I said, taken aback. "How? She's part sucuubus.... and she was a virgin, before last night. How can she be your victim?" I realized I had said too much with the virginity comment, and bit my tongue.

Aristodemos was confused.
"No, she's a human woman, and wasn't a virgin when I met her. She's a human soldier who fought during World War 2, and was mysteriously abandoned by her comrades during the Nagasaki bombing. She obviously couldn't have survived the impact, since she was 2 km from the hypocenter, though people recall seeing a unharmed female who fits her description."
He paused.
"And I know she's here, since I can smell her soul, and I can tell that it isn't a ghost. She may have become a vampire or something."
[[He's dark blue, since he's supposed to be navy blue in his true form/that's his hair color. Sam'll be orange, since that's the color of her pinwheel.]]
[[EDIT: And, to my knowledge, it is still the same night that Teddy and Markus went to the circus/the sun hasn't come up yet. If not, I'm gonna be angry.]]

My brain was hurting. This man - a self-proclaimed incubus - was appealing for solely that reason. His species had a sexual pull that enticed almost all, and I found myself drifting towards him and away from Teddy.
"I saw her not long ago at the Circus of the Damned," I said in a half-dreamy voice.
Oh s**t.
What had I just done?
