henrytownshend4235 Shilosaur Oh well neat! :"DDD //flattered to be new favorite person ever I like downpour, in fact I like them all, but those are my top three. Downpour has likeable characters, I adore Murphy, but it was lacking in the FEEL of Silent Hill. I mean yes it's got it's moments of jump scares, but due to a new team taking over and Daniel directing the music now, the feel wasn't the same. I kind of felt like Downpour is in it's own little field of horror that I really do like. Akira forever will have my heart. I have SO MUCH Akira on my itunes. xD I actually asked, I had heard a lot about it and wanted to try~ SH4 I got for christmas, along with 2 and 3, so that was the first time I had heard or played it and I just LOVE how it was just this... it was silent hill but played in a new way. I loved that. it had the same feelings, the same sounds and designs, but a different dynamic. Haha I guess we all perceive the game different, huh? I too have a whole CD dedicated to Akira in my car (and it's just about been played into useless lol). But I do like Daniel's music as well, and I made a CD of some of his stuff I liked as well. I actually felt like Downpour was a step in the right direction, as it returns you to being someone fighting internal demons through horrifying environments (and you're right, definitely plenty of jumpscares!) and imo, every SH title worthy of having such a title should truly have easter eggs (and I was SUPER excited crawling into room 302 in Downpour, as I am sure you were as well). But I have played Homecoming so much I just could go on forever about it too. My favorite villain in Homecoming was Scarlet. Her monster was so.... wicked. And her theme song was really nice sounding. And while most fans agree that Pyramid Head was only put in it as fan fodder, anyone with true knowledge of Pyramid head's function knows that he appeared and did exactly as he was meant to... Punish Alex's father. As I said, don't get me wrong, I love Downpour too, but it just didn't fit in with the others. I'm not much a fan of Book of Memories, though. I love Daniel's music too, he's good in his own way, but it just was set apart, though not necessarily in a bad way. AND YES. I squealed like a silly fanboy when I got there and got the items. I was all "Aww my precious Henry left me goodies~ <333" YES. yesyesyes. Scarlet and her theme are just the BEST. I think my second favorite boss in homecoming is Asphyxia. And yes, I have this theory that Pyramid Head isn't just James' figure of punishment, but manifests himself just as the punisher for the guilty period. And it drives further that he's part of the psyche when you get the pyramid head ending in homecoming. That Alex has become the one who punishes his father like how James faces his own demons and the pyramid heads are no longer needed and impale themselves.

Oh no, believe me, I understand where you're coming from 3nodding And I remember when I got to Room 302 in Downpour, there was a point where I literally did not want to leave it. My buddy Alec was with me and I turned and said "Dude, this means so much to me as a fan, it's not worth leaving". Which really, it did... It can get rough sometimes being deeply in love with SH4 when there's about half the fans who diss it so much... and to see that a group of people appreciated it so much as an entry to give it its own easter egg in their game was just like... wow. I liked the appearance and reasoning behind Asphyxia, but i felt like it was too quick of a fight. I don't think I ever got to fully enjoy everything the monster was capable of. Which brings me to my next question, though I'm sure I know the answer... You did a playthrough with the laser pistol right?

And I even mentioned something i adored in the movie talk thread about easter eggs and such too! I think the majority of the fight was to be towards trying to figure out how in the heck you even found her weak point. But I loved her character design. Human Centipede kind of monsters are just amazingggg. And no, actually. As silly as this may sound, Homecoming was hard for me to play because you HAD to use the dodge function. I found out my good friend can easily do the dodging moments just right, so we agreed that she'd play homecoming for me to just watch and enjoy, and I'd play the other games for her to do the same. OTL

OTL Well I in no way mean for this to ruin the fun of playing, but running through at least once with a laser pistol is just super fun (you find the laser pistol in Alex bedroom), It makes pretty much any monster die in one shot, and almost every boss dies in like 3-4 shots. I use it when I travel through homecoming looking for secrets. Otherwise, I play normal and use regular weapons.

henrytownshend4235 Rayous Hello there, the name is Rayous. I have been a Silent hill addict since I was about 14, so 7 years now. I have played all the games from start to finish multiple times and love to do bloody RPs, and fan art. it is nice to see a guild and hope to talk to yall later :3 Welcome to the guild Rayous! And thank you for accepting my invite so quickly! If you love to do RP, would you perhaps be interested in organizing your own? We have our own RP subforum, and I can broadcast your RP idea if you were to make one. If not, me and another crew member have been brewing some ideas for RP (or will be very soon blaugh ) And that's awesome, because I too began my SH addiction 7 years ago at the age of 14. Although, I'm sure if anything else about us as fans is similar then you'd agree looking back 7 years now you'd never have known you were about to embark on a scary, unique, memorable, and awesome journey through many games. Personally, I wish I would have known the series the day the first game released.... to have been part of experiencing those thrills firsthand with so many others... Right now I am revisiting Silent Hill 2 and recording it but my net is so slow. x=x. It is not the Best Seller edition so i do not have the Maria Side story but that was what started me so long ago. I have to say I love it so much that I might bounce some Rp ideas when I have some as I am fresh out xD

When you're finished you'll definitely have to upload them and post em here for everyone to see! 3nodding I always enjoy seeing fan work. I may end up shooting an idea to you in PM later today. (and by that I mean, I will definitely shoot you a PM later today... just... right now the words are bubbling in my head xd )

Shilosaur I am going to have to do this. * U * Well when you do you'll have to let me know if you enjoyed it or not (because oddly enough, I have heard plenty of fans who really weren't all that impressed with using the pistol).
