Professor Inky "The owners probably don't know what it is seeing as how it is out here. We have to buy it to keep it from falling into the wrong hands," Ethin said in a near whisper. He looked around to make sure no one was near enough to hear their conversation. "I agree," Kiae replied with a nod. "You go and find what you need in the store. I'll pay for this immediately," she ordered, hold the icon in her hand tightly. It was a circular shape and about the size of her fist, easy to carry and conceal. Without wasting time, she moved to the counter and smiled at the girl managing it. "I'd like to purchase this, please," she said, handing it to the girl reluctantly. Ignorant of what it was, the girl shrugged and glanced down at it, appraising its value. "It's not worth much, maybe three silver crowns," she remarked, eying Kiae. "Are you sure you want it? It's just a trinket." "I'd like it, thank you," Kiae said firmly, handing her the coins without hesitation and receiving the angreal with a sigh of relief.

Professor Inky The two sat beside each other in silence that was only broken by Esole's sobs. She leaned her head against his shoulder and closed her eyes. Soon her sobs slowed and eventually died out and she drifted off to an exhausted slumber. He walked into a village, unsure of what it was called or the region. People greeted him warmly. They were soon dead in weaves of all kinds. He continued to walk and kill them, parasites living off everything around them. They had failed life's game and this was their punishment. Those who fell rose again and followed him in his rampage. Everything seemed to stop and vanish as he neared the last house. He opened the door and smiled wickedly at the one on the ground. A woman staring up at him with great fear. He had no clue who the woman was. He held his hand out toward her "You have played this game far too long madam. Sadly for you, you have lost and it is now your time to join the rest of the those who have lost." He could see the weaves coming from his hand and going at her throat. Slowly coiling around until..."NO!" He awoke with a start, sweat rolling down his forehead. Another dream from this blasted taint. What game was I speaking of though? No, it was a tainted dream. It isn't meant to make sense. He shook his head and looked over to Esole who lay in bed. He had brought here a little after she fell asleep. I hope I did not wake her with my outburst. Light burn this taint. He got out of the bed slowly and carefully as to not wake Esole from her peaceful slumber. He walked out of the room and into the washroom, throwing aside his undergarments and sitting in the tub of cold water. He did not care that the water wasn't warm, he needed to cool down anyway. I do consider life to be a grand game but... His thoughts were interupted as Bartello came in. "M'Lord, shall I prepare the morning meal?" Melthin just nodded without giving him any words. Bartello nodded and walked out of the room, leaving his master to his thoughts.

Color Me Fubar "I'd like it, thank you," Kiae said firmly, handing her the coins without hesitation and receiving the angreal with a sigh of relief. Ethin walked briskly around the store, picking up odds and ends that he thought they would need or what would come in handy for them as well as items that were light and easy to carry. He got them two bedrolls, saddlebags, and other little things that would come in handy to them as well as a new black cloak for himself. He approached the counter beside Kiae and handed the girl his things. She added up all the prices in silence, watching the two out of the corner of her eyes, and placed all the items in the saddlebags to make them easier to carry. "That'll be three gold crowns and four silver crowns, sir," she said in an uninterested monotone. He handed over the coins without complaint all the price was much more than it should have been. "Thank you. You two have a good day," she said out of rote rather than out of courtesy. Ethin took off his color-shifting cloak and put on his black cloak. He stuffed the cloak in the saddlebag and put the extra saddlebag in the other and heaved the load over his shoulder. Ethin and Kiae exited the store and he paused in front of the store to address Kiae. "I got all the little necessities we will be needing aside from food and clothes for me. But food can wait until right before we leave," Ethin informed her. "Where would you like to go now?"

Esole awoke with a yawn and a grand stretch that made her back crack. She put on the robe that was hanging on the hook by the bed and went into the washroom. "We should eat as soon as possible then find Ethin and Kiae. Hopefully they aren't trying to be inconspicuous because it will be difficult to find the two without the Bond," Esole announced gravely. She leaned against the doorframe and tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Perhaps we will do what Queen Moraine did when she first met the Dragon. She gave them a token so she could track them. I will coordinate with Kiae when we see them next and we can exchange tokens to keep us from losing each other." She hoped the Yellow would agree. It was the least she could ask after the woman stole her Warder away.

"I can't really think of anywhere I need to be," she replied vaguely, waving her free hand. "Perhaps we should go fetch Esole and Matrim, before they convince each other we've hidden ourselves," she suggested with a wry laugh.

Ethin looked around, easily finding the roof of Melthin's excessive abode. "Esole never was much of a morning person. I think it would be a safe guess that they are still there," Ethin informed her.

Neither of them strike me as a morning person, to be honest," she added with a short laugh.

Ethin chuckled at Kiae's comment before whipping his head around sharply. He thought he heard a sword being bared. Looking around, he found no potential threat but he knew better than to judge a possible threat on appearances alone. He seemingly put his attention back on Kiae and said, "Let us get along then before people may suspect us of being suspicious." Ethin hoped Kiae would catch onto his subtle hinting of a potential threat. He knew he heard something. He look back around them and watched a suspicious young adult male looking over cloths at a fabric stand. He was a gruff man that one would assume would steer clear of such stands. Ethin sighed inwardly. " That has to be him," Ethin thought, noticing the man's sword. He took Kiae's arm and guided them down the road, looking for an inconspicuous alleyway.

Kiae took no notice the stranger but allowed Ethin to guide her, confident that he had a plan for dealing with the threat. She wondered if the man knew her to be an Aes Sedai - if so, playing the obedient, silly woman would do no good and would only serve to alert him. So she settled for ignoring him instead. "I'm sure you look much less suspicious after shaving," she assured Ethin, in case the stranger had heard his remark of suspicion. She was grateful it wasn't Reider and wondered who he could possibly be.

This little incident can not end the work we have been working so hard for!" Esole exclaimed, frustrated with his inability to see what her intentions were.

"I understand, I was simply pondering other uses. Like in the instance we are forced to split apart and get separated. We would be able to find each other easily and regroup within moments." He stood and dried himself off before looking toward her again as his eyes went from soft to calculating. "I hope this ends quickly. This taint is effecting me in ways I would rather not want to ever wish upon anyone." He grimaced at the thought of it and walked out of the washroom to leave Esloe to her privacy as he went back to the bedroom to dress and get ready. just as he was about to leave, he stopped and looked to the dresser. Anya's ring lay atop it gleaming in the sun. He shook his head and slipped it onto his finger, chuckling to himself and repeating in his mind that he was a fool.

She was grateful it wasn't Reider and wondered who he could possibly be. Ethin found the hidden alleyway he was looking for, lightly shoving past a hawker to get to it. He turned, baring his sword, awaiting the arrival of the mysterious man. The man came around, chuckling maliciously. "How cute! I'm not a threat. I'm just a messenger. If I had wanted to kill you, I could have done so in your sleep. No, I simply come bearing a message for you two and the other Aes Sedai and Warder," he said, coming closer, a wicked grin spread across his face revealing several missing teeth. "My leaders would like you and your motley crew to know that they are watching. Your actions have not gone unnoticed," he said, chuckling again, a hint of insanity sneaking into his laughter. Ethin approached the man, sword pointed at his neck. "Who are your leaders? Who is in the New Order?" Ethin demanded with a growl. The man simply chuckled in response.
