Eric decides to leave early the next morning. He doesn't have to work until later on in the afternoon, but he's already sick of Trin and doesn't want to be near her. So, he heads for the library and plops down in a random spot to read. Now the libraries there don't have REAL books, they have electronic readers. You take a reader with you, and download what you want. Yeah. Not the same place it used to be.

Poor Eric. And Trin left the apartment for the day anyway! Oh ho ho. She has made her way to a bar to attempt to get as drunk as possible.
---
Sin, however, has decided it would be super to visit Eric's apartment! He left a little translated note on the bed for his foreign visitors and moseyed over to the apartment with his briefcase. And a high tech skeleton key which he uses to try to enter the apartment. By high tech, I mean it uses sensors to guess at what sort of key is needed then foam to create a temporary key to unlock the lock.

Eric's apartment is old, so it doesn't take that much for Sin to enter. Everything is the same as Eric and Trin left it, save for some new readers Eric has added to his bookshelf. They're small computers that contain text files of the same things he's looking at in the library.

Sin shakes his head and mutters, "Horrible security." He then takes a seat by the door and opens up his briefcase to reveal.. a bunch of tools! The first thing he removes is a screwdriver and he begins to work on removing the doorknob.

That comes off easily enough as well. This is an old planet, where new technology is implemented only when it costs too much to operate on simple machines, or use things such as paper.

Sin installs a wonderful new doorknob then shuts the door behind him. He then wanders over to inspect any windows.

Sin thinks that's just horrible, but he'll have to work with it. He works on embedding tiny little motion censors at the top and bottom of each window as well as devices to send a horrible shock to anyone who might try to go through them.

But what about fire esca--well, they don't have one and that wouldn't be a good idea to jump from the fourth floor anyway. There's no one to stop Sin, so.. oh well!
Eric is on his way home, though. He stops by the front to say hello to another neighbor, and clomps up the stairs.

Sin has panicked! But not about Eric returning. No, he is worried that the walls and floor are too thin! So he is installing a few itty bitty cameras as well. Must be thorough!

There's a click at the door. Eric opens it, steps through.. and stares. What the HELL.

Sin is just finishing with the last camera when.. ohs noes! The door! Is it trin? No, just Eric. He smiles and shuts his briefcase. "Hello, neighbor."
