Luna Starbright So for those who don't know, it rained today in Texas, HOWEVER! IT DIDN'T stop our picnic from happening.
We went near the zoo to eat (only got a few pictures of feeding some ducks and us making funny faces), so I'll just show yall the good stuff off us looking like crazy people at the Alamo dome (mainly the ones including me x___x )
We had a lot of photo ops with the tourists as well, which was a hoot. I really enjoyed the fact that at least 6 bunches of people within an hour asked to take their photo with us. It was fun c:
I'll post the other pictures later
I was just in Texas the other day! It was so beautiful.

I was just in Texas the other day! It was so beautiful. It really is a beautiful state, depending where you go of course. I prefer the Big Bend area and over near Dallas myself. THE SCENERY IS AMAZING~

Dixie Dellamorto Awesome pictures! It doesnt even look like a yucky day. Us Northern East costers have to get together soon for this kind of picnic! It was rainy all day, like, buckets. It finally started to let up around 3:00ish, so we headed downtown. It was still on and off sprinkles, and it started to cool down, which was nice. Overall, it was "yucky", costumes + rain = dx I like the rain, but not in costume. Especially when certain pieces weren't meant to get wet x___x

Right now I'm working on two Steamy outfits: I've got this one, which is more Wild Wild West style -- It's a white lacey/ruffled shirt, red overbust corset with black lace, and red ruched skirt, with a brown leather belt and a black scarf at the waist. HERE'S a full length shot, and HERE is some detail on the corset and skirt. Then, I've got this one, which is more traditionally victorian: For that I've got the same ruffly blouse, a midnight blue velvet skirt (with a 2 bone hoop underneath), white leather belt, and, best of all, a midnight blue velvet ladies' top hat with black feathers, a netted veil, and a train. I also have black leather elbow gloves to go with this one but I forgot 'em. Here is a sad attempt at a full length, and here is a close up of the hat. I also have a few more Victorian outfits that I plan on steaming up EVENTUALLY... this one is a gold and dark blue calico dress with my 2 bone hoop underneath. It's princess cut in the Edwardian style with cream lace sleeves and neck. Then, this is the rest of the outfit that goes with the blue velvet skirt -- though here I've got my summer hat instead of the top hat and a 2 bone hoop instead of the 6 bone that I usually wear. Finally, there's this one, which is an epic puff sleeved blouse and lace cameo. I wear it in the summer with a periwinkle blue, lace trimmed skirt. So many links, I know crying I think I've got some pretty good basic pieces, I just need to accessorize! Of course I REALLY REALLY want some awesome goggles, and some more leather pieces would be nice.

Mandolin_X Right now I'm working on two Steamy outfits Amazing outfits Dear! I love the Red, it's very nice. It would be neat if you could somehow mod your camera, to have a steam astetic, like you were looking at some sort of ornate machine, instead of a digital camera. Just an Idea, either way, very beautiful.

I've been thinking about modding the camera. but honestly, I'm kind of scared...if I were to mess it up somehow I CANNOT afford a new digital camera :/ I suppose painting it brass and sticking a few gears on couldn't hurt, though...it's definitely something to consider.

My goodness, Mandolin! Your outfits are absolutely stunning. Nickstermin8r, you are a wonderful artist. Do you colour? And Dixie, how northern is "Northern East Coasters"? I'm in. biggrin (Care to hold it in the picturesque colonial capital of Williamsburg, VA? A century or so before our time, but lovely nevertheless...)

You could always try to make/buy a case to go around your camera that looks steamy.

I tried to use oil pastels once, and many good and brave people died as a result, not to mention the entire species of dodo. Colored pencils work a little better. Or they would, if I could find The Perfect Colored Pencils. Sometimes I shade too, but that glove is just a line drawing.
