Helix had forgotten what sleep was for the time being, there'd been plenty to fix before they lifted off, the weapon mounts and their targeting sensors had needed calibrated, and the weapons required a careful and detailed inspection... but then there were other things that had required his attention, the power conduits, tractor beam mounts, tractor emitters, the ship's backup power supply, ion reactor, proximity sensors, maneuvering thrusters, repulsorlifts, and the turbolift down to the engine room kept getting stuck. But now at last everything was up to par, or at least factory specifications.
Tired he stumbled onto the bridge with a datapad in one hand, and Ellbee slowly following with a 2 liter cup of case. He hadn't had time to socialize, and while he up too his elbows in the guts of the ship he noticed a couple modifications that could be made to improve her performance... and now he had to get the captain's approval to conduct them.

Jag pocketed the money before turning to look at the two pilots on the bridge. "Dare I ask why you two are both here at the same time? Because we're not due to drop out of hyperspace for another day and I dont recall setting you two up on any sort of watch schedule." Then he looked over to his blue skinned mechanic. "And what do you want, now?"

Tabula's stomach ached in pain again as she forced herself to continue exporing the main deck for food. She didnt want to go to the deck above for fear of getting seen, or the deck below for the same reason, and she was starting to get a little wary of this deck as well. She was about to lose hope when she at last saw her salvation, a vending machine. Tabula's eyes lit up as if it were a present and she rushed over to it with haste. The little girl started to push the machine to try and force it to give out something, but she failed to even make it budge. She sadly placed her face against the glass that was separating her from the food she needed. her attention was focused on one candy bar that she knew she could get with just the right shove.
Tabula concentrated hard on it trying to figure out how to get it, but she found that when she concentrated enough the candy nudged just a little bit forward. 'I think...I think I can get it that way.' Tabula thought a concentrated as hard as she could on the bar as it wiggled in is placed untill it finally dropped. Tabula was estatic as she reached for the candy, tore the wrapper off, and enjoyed her first meal in about two days.

"Sorry captain, thought you might want to know everything is ship shape again. I also found a couple areas where her performance could be improved with a few small modifications." He thumbed the datapad nervously as he saw the scowl on the captain's face, If now isn't a good time..."

"And when did you plan on making these modifications?" Jag asked calmly, tapping his fingr on the armrest of his captain's chair."

Mareal took the turbolift down to her room again. Jag was needed for something, but she didn't pry. As she stepped off, she felt something strange. It was like a poke in the eye, something all too familiar. She crept down the hallway, pulling out her hold-out blasters. Paranoia and dark Jedi were always hunting her, and something summoning the Force could only amount to trouble. Somebody made an oops, hoping to collect on her bounty, and that oops cost them dearly.
She cursed at having sold her Bryars so rashly. They'd come in handy now. The blaster cannon would have been even better at short range combat. Mareal kept her force signature as small as she could. She had gotten rather proficient at keeping it low conciously, although she really wanted to read a jedi holocron on Art of the Small.
If only it had lasted a bit longer, she would have known exactly where it was, but she knew it was on the starboard side of the ship. Slowly, she began to inspect room by room, ending up at the hallway to the vending machines and the tractor beam. Neither was a good place to be.

Tabula finished of the candy bar and went back to the machine. 'I wonder if I can get another like that.' She thought but then she heard something. Footsteps heading her way, she knew it was bad. Tabula hid to the side of the vending machine praying to not be found.

Mareal pressed her back against the wall. The openings to the two doors were just around the corner, and whatever was back there had to walk out of one of them. Her Jedi patience finally would come in handy, as sooner or later, one of the two would have to move, as she waited, trigger on the blaster waiting for the other to make its move.
I vish I knew dis ship better. But oh vell.

"Hey, I'm gonna get a candy bar. Haven't had one in weeks." Gairus said to Kalin. He stood up, and walked over to the lift and went down to the main deck. He checked his pockets; a 25 credit chit lay inside. "Damn" he said, "I didn't even know I had this." He walked out into the main deck, where 2 days ago he had been mopping under Kalin's command. He peeked into each passenger deck. "Hello?" he asked, hoping there was someone to talk to.

Mareal turned her head towards the turbolifts, noticing someone come down. She put her finger to her lips, indicating a "shh" noise. Waving to the man, she beckoned him to come closer, but quietly, never letting her watch of the hallway waiver.

Gairus nodded at the woman before him and crept up to her. "What's happening?" He whipsered.

"Someding is back dere. Not sure vat it is, but my vomanly intuition assumes it's bigger dan a tailring. Vould you mind going into the fending room and checking it out? It's either in dere or in dee oder room, but I don't vant it to escape if at all possible," she whispered back.

"They're relatively minor things that can be done while in space, I could wait till after we arrive if you'd prefer."
Helix glanced down at the datapad, "I want to make the capacitors for each of the ship's weapon systems and shield generator a backup and directly power them from the ships reactor most of the time. It'll reduce charge time on those systems to basically nill, and if the power grid goes down, the capacitors will act as backup batteries. That way we won't be left completely defenseless if we get ionized or loose power. I'd also like to replace the tibanna gas valves on the ion cannons with magnetic containment fields and install a direct feed from the weapons to tibanna storage, again so we can be battle ready in a hurry. Of course I'll install an emergency severance system for the feed to keep the probability of a blowback and magazine explosion to a minimum."
He dropped the datapad on the helm, "Most of that I can do with just the spare parts we got aboard and a little tinkering, with your permission of course."

"You do realize that to replace the club's TG Valves, you'll have to perform an EVA in the depts of Hyperspace, right?" Jag asked.

"Guard the turbo lifts, that way if it escapes, we can at least contain it." He said, nodding to Mareal. Gairus crept over to the vending room, back to the wall. He could hear something now. Very faint.
