"That is what I thought, but apparently not." Alyekzander muttered under his breath in response to Markus' teasing. Where the devil had Domanik gotten off to that quickly? Alyekzander suddenly realized, long moments after Domanik had actually left, that his brother had not made some show stealing and utterly embarrassing display. Perhaps he was ill; he was acting ever so strange. Though Alyekzander supposed the same could be said of him. When did he ever spend this much time outside one of his few sanctuaries? No matter; Markus was already planning an excursion and he could easily slip away before then.

((Edit coming soon)) Madeline stretched. "I'm going to go check a few things in my room. I'll be back in a few." She walked out of the garage, heading for her room. She set herself down and went to Youtube. She checked up on a few other vloggers, then set herself down for a vlog. Madeline positioned the camera to point at her. "Hey!" She grinned. "Guess what? its my birthday!" A party kazoo sounded. "Its my first birthday here in the house..." She sighed. "So its going to be weird. Well it has been weird." She held Naomi's box up. "I'm going to open this up on screen after a few present describings..." she paused. "Actually, the descriptions come after the present!" she clapped, then opened it up. "Oh..." She held the dress up. "Wow!" She leaned over. "I'll go put this on really quicksie!" She went off screen, put it on, then came back. "This is from my wonderful sister, Naomi! Some of you know her as SprinkledMuffin!" She clapped. "Thanks!" She then quickly described her gifts from her family, ending on the mini cooper. "Yes. I got a mini cooper." She nodded. "Its nice, but its weird." She stopped. "Anyways, Domanick is acting weird. He isn't snapping at anyone. He was locked up in his room with my friends, his fangirls, for a while... and the screaming only came near the end. Weird." she paused. "And this'll be a secret between you and I. Dom, yes Dom, is actually pretty..." she stopped, then grinned. "see you next vlog!"

"It seems we have lost one. And I surely thought I would be the first to break off and flutter away." Alyekzander muses aloud to no one in particular.

Naomi watched in silence as Madeline wanted to leave for a moment, checking on a few things. However, the birthday girl mentioned her room, and the younger sister's heart lept; yay, she'd hopefully see the package on the bed and see the new dress! She dearly hoped Madeline would like it!
She knew what Madeline was really doing though, for Naomi had used the same words several times when she wanted a quick vlog before she had to go somewhere. Madeline was quicker with her vlogs though, than Naomi herself; Naomi was just too picky, the artist genes in her refused to settle with half-butted work.
And now...it was just her and the rest of the new family. She hid a chuckle at Alyekzander's comment, for she knew he meant himself. "Ah, she'll be back shortly." the girl shrugged.

Markus happily watched the sisters flutter around. It was good to see the house so full of life again. "So, Miss Naomi, when's your birthday? I want to be prepared, you know."
There. All his film stuff, from his camera to his lights, to his editings software discs were carefully hidden away. Still, he didn't hear Markus's footsteps coming after him. Perhaps Madeline hadn't said anything? Well, that was nice of her. He was about to settle down and play some Bioshock, but he remembered that the game was in the game room...which was in the East Wing. Still, everyone was out of the house except for him, right? So, there was no point in bringing it all the way back to his room, right? He set off for the game room.

Madeline fluttered out of her room happily. She spun in her dress, smiling. She began to walk back to the garage, but decided to take a detour. Although this was a very bad idea considering it was Madeline, but she didn't think of it. She walked around a bit, then saw something... a game room! She decided to check it out. They had foozball! But there wasn't anyone to play with so she looked at the neatly stacked game shelf, examining the selection.

"If you will excuse me." Alyekzander said quietly before again making his way back into the house. Markus would provide more than enough chatter to feed Naomi's innate curiosity and Alyekzander had filled his 'obligation' to join them for the tour. To be fair, it had not inconvenienced him. Nor could he say it was terribly unpleasant, aside from that whole acting it up for who-tube business. You-Tube, he corrected himself. You-Tube, which the girls apparently felt he needed to be educated on. That thought in mind, Alyekzander picked up the pace to hide away in his bedroom fortress of Solitude.

((Oh shoot! Forgot all about this thread!))
Naomi watched Alyekzander leave quietly, heading up back to the house. Most likely for peace and quiet in his room or something, which the young girl was surprised that she had yet to do herself.
Upon hearing Markus's question, she didn't mind answering at all; this one was actually trying to be nice, which might not have been as big of a shell for him to break as it was for ol' Alyek. Hehe, Alyek. She'd have to try that nickname out one day just for fun!
"Ah, mine's awhile from now. December 1st; little snow child." she joked, but in truth her birth had made it one sad Christmas.........
"Well, guess I should head back in, seeing as people are slowly disappearing. I'm not usually the last to stay at a party, so I'd best not waste your time." she answered, and realized it sounded a bit more "emo" than she realized. Weird, she thought to herself as she cheerfully waved at the remaining people before going back into the house. She decided to wander about random halls first, to clear her head. That thought after her birthday answer had left her with a strangely cold feeling, much like teh month in which she was born.

"Oh. Uh...hi." Domanik said quietly when he saw who was in the game room. "I'll just get my game and go then." He moved toward the 360. But somehow, the idea of trawling the creepy, ill-lit reaches of Rapture seemed less appealing then it had before. His gaze drifted over the room, carefully avoiding her and finally settled on the Wii. "That is...well...unless you wanted to play something that needed two people." He added, still staring resolutely at the tiny Japanese machine. "I guess, since it's your birthday and all. I could, you know...play with you." He suddenly looked her full on, his face buning, and, he felt sure, faintly flushed and pink. "But, that doesn't mean I like you or anything."
"Well, Ladies, it has been a pleasant morning," said Marcus to the remaining sister(s?), "but I sense our little party is breaking up. And, I have been meaning to practice the piano. If you need me, I'll be in the music room. Madeline can tell you where it is if you don't know." And then he bowed out of the garage and up to the music room.

Alyekzander made it to his room unscathed, unmolested, uninterrupted. There was a God. He immediately removed shoes and socks then moved to his computer desk. Click, hum and his machine started up as he sat and undid the top few buttons of his shirt. Time to actually do some work. There was little in the way of clutter on his desktop; it was more than obvious he did not use this machine for fun. No, this machine was set up for bookkeeping. His father's little financial empire required quite a lot of numbers-minded people to build a foundation for it to stand on. Alyekzander could not really say he enjoyed mathematics, but he was fairly good at it and it was better this than his bumming around the globe phase. Seriously, how could one being do so much nothing that he flies home from gorgeous India and complains that he just wishes he really had something to do?
That one had surprised his father. But surprise quickly gave way to the opportunity for 'free' labor. There was hardly any need to pay him; what had he ever wanted that he had not received? He only hoped no one who was getting a paycheck lost a job to his sudden restlessness. And yet, he had never asked. In the back of his mind he occasionally thought to, but the thought was always swallowed whole by some other distraction.
His keyboard made almost indiscernible tapping noises as he worked almost mechanically, his thoughts hardly on his screen at all. Numbers certainly took no imagination, so that part of his mind felt free to wander off, have a vacation, maybe even order a pizza.
Eventually his thoughts wandered, against his will, to thoughts of YouTube and Sprinkled_Muffin. he had actually managed to let it slip his mind, but now it was back. And even YouTube seemed a bit more interesting when he should be working instead. He ignored the impulse and it went away after a while. More work got done, satisfactory progress was being made... and so, when the thought crept back in, he decided to indulge it. He was certain there would be nothing of real interest. Once he had confirmed that a fifteen year old girl was going to be just as girly and inconsequential online as she was offline he could get back to work.
That had been the plan, any way. But when did anything ever go to plan? Alyekzander soon found himself balancing between a few minutes of work, then a short vlog of Naomi's. Ah, well, what was the worst that could happen if he slacked off a little? he would get fired and go sulk in Paris for a while? No; his father was smarter than that. So Alyekzander would slack off; the work would still get done before the day was out.

A sound of a door shutting softly was heard as Naomi made it back to her new clean room in one piece. That was a surprise; she had half expected to run into Alyekzander or something. Actually, Alyek sounded like a cute little nickname. She needed to use it once and see how he reacted. If he liked it, great, cause Alyekzander was too long of a name to say in one breath! If he didn't like it, well, if she ever got mad at him for something it'd be a nice card she could use in the future.
As she plugged the electric power supply chord into her laptap and started up the system, she went into the small fridge in the room and decided to finish the last pieces of cake from the night before. Nothing wrong with free food, but it'd spoil if she didn't eat it soon. Besides, she'd eaten healthy this morning, and it's a birthday celebration, so nothing wrong with a little cake, right?
Getting the cake and sitting down at the table where her computer sat, she went to her favorites list and in moments she was on her vlog site. She logged in, and now her status was "online. Then she began replying to emails and such. She had no work to do at the moment, since whatever work she had had before she had done during move preparations so she could focus on something and forget about being depressed for awhile. It kept her busy, and now she was as free as a bird to do as she pleased! For now, anyways.

Alyekzander pondered the videos he was watching. It was strange; Naomi did not really hold back anything, did she? Of course, he did not know of her one secret; to him it seemed that she would tell anything to any stranger. He was almost relieved when he finally saw one password protected video. It was only normal for everyone to hide something. But only one? Naomi truly puzzled him and she had not even needed to try. He almost wanted to ask her about it, but really, how did he plan to go about that? Hello there, so sorry for mostly ignoring you and outright antagonizing two of your sisters, would you mind if we had a little chat?
But then... there was the anonymity of the internet. No, that was downright deceitful. It was deplorable. It was easier than trying to hunt her down and strike up a conversation. Well, he would not exactly say he wasn't Alyekzander Gerasimov, after all. He just would not say he was. That seemed to be perfectly acceptable for chatting with Sprinkled_Muffin anyway. But if not his own name, then what would he call himself? Maksim's little nickname was a dead give away as was his newly acquired one from Madeline. Besides that, he did not truly care for either of them. What, then? His eyes landed on the painting he wordlessly insisted once more was not Emilee and was merely another, unidentified dark haired young lady.
"Don't smirk at me; you could try making a suggestion, you know." He murmured quietly, on the off chance someone might pass his door. He would not have the household thinking he had lost his marbles. Perhaps the painting had a suggestion after all... he did like to paint. Garage Painter? Not a chance; there might still be paint smudges on the garage floor. Antisocial Painter? Oh, that was sustainable when he was making an account for the sole purpose of communicating. Well, something else.... something surely no one would attribute to him. Maybe something touchy feely and sentimental. Halcyon Paint; that was the one. Would it be available?
Good Lord, it was. but he could not use his email address... one needed go no further than AGerisimov@ to figure that out. What now? Well, he had already poked at the idea, he might as well see it through. He did a search for email, randomly pointed at the screen and signed up for the one under his finger. yes, halcyonpaint@gmail.com was a much more sensible option.
Was he really just this opposed to continuing his work? Well, what did he want to say so badly that he had wasted this much time just to say it? Hmn. Oh, he really should have out some thought into that. Well, reading some of the other comments he decided thought wasn't terribly important on YouTube. Could he emulate? Alyekzander cracked his knuckles, stretched his fingers and began to craft a message that made him itch to polish it.
Hey there, wow! Awesome vlog! But don't you ever worry about letting just anybody hear this stuff? lol. Urg, no; he could not lol. Not even for this purpose. Backspace, for the love of all that was good and wholesome in the world. Anyway, can't wait to see more from you. Your newest fan, Halcyon_Paint. Could he really send that? It was awful. He sounded like a half literate teenager! But then, that was half the point. He sighed and sent the message.

((Woh, I go for a week and this thread is alovbe again! *glomp* I LOVE YOU GUYS!)) Madeline blinked at Dom, surprised and blushing. He knew it was her birthday? She tried to think. Oh, yeah, she opened presents in front of him. Okay. She couldn't help but look back at him, mute for the moment. "Erm-um..." she began, stumbling through the sounds. Then the words came to her. She grabbed a game off the shelf on instinct, covering her face with it. "This." she murmured softly.
