ooc:// lmao, yes the perfect drama. Silvertail got in trouble for looking for her kit. How sad. xp //
Icetail stopped, now seeing to outlines against the sky. "Torrentstar?" Icetail mewed, surprised. Why wasn't Sandpaw with them? Had it been too dangerous for them to cross the river? Was Sandpaw okay? Icetail had to go talk to them. Steering in their direction, he called out through the snow, "Torrentstar, where's Sandpaw?" More and more white flaked were falling every minute, even as he spoke. They had not had a snow like this out of the whole leaf-bare.

Torrentstar looked up at Icetail's call. "We didn't cross the river. It was too dangerous to risk, especially if we had an injured cat to bring with us. We will try again in a few days when the river has gone back to its normal size." He closed his eyes. He knew this wasn't his fault but he couldn't help but think that he had done something wrong. Maybe he could've prevented the whole ordeal in the first place if he had been keeping a closer eye on his apprentice. "For now he's not my biggest concern." He meowed half to himself. Remembering that the rest of the clan still needed him as well, flicking his tail at the surroundings. The snow was piling up fast and they would have to hurry if they wanted to get back to the clan. He bounded toward them, "Let's get back to the camp. Sandpaw is safe, the Windclan camp is on the moor and all that wind will make the snowfall light." He took the lead and started back towards camp quickly.

Dampfoot's mouth formed a thin, grim line, and she shook her head slightly. "Ah. I see." There wasn't actually much to see, but Dampfoot guessed she had only really said that for lack of anything better. She paused, gazing at the destruction that littered the warrior's den. A fretful glance was thrown over her shoulder, watching as Moonkit wandered off looking displeased. Dampfoot padded a little further into the den, hesitant. "Come here.." She lowered her head and began nosing around in the debris, "Let me help clear this up, before Torrentstar gets back." No doubt he wouldn't've made it to WindClan; Dampfoot guessed the river woud be a little wild after the sudden rain, and that their leader would probably have to come back.

Rainfur padded towards camp without a word, shivering when the frigid air got into his bones. Once inside camp he shook any excess water off his pelt. He slipped inside the warriors den and froze. Much to his surprise, everyone's bedding was scattered. "What in StarClan-" he started to mumble then he stopped. His gaze met Silvertail, who was standing in the middle of this mess. Trying to hide his amusement over the sight, he mewed, "Let me help," he took a step closer and got right to work, molding the nest back together. Silvertail seemed embarassed, he could tell. "Just like the old days, eh?" he purred, trying to make the moment lighter. He remembered the apprentice days and he found it funny that he seemed to back going back in time.

Crystaleye gazed at WindClan territory, and saw a handsome tom. She stopped for a half-second, gazing at him, and shook her head. That cat was WindClan! Scrawny, rabbit-eating WindClan. She sighed, her tail flicking, and mewed to herself, "Mouse-brain." That cat was clearly giving an assessment. She didn't dare interrupt. Still...she couldn't help but glance over her shoulder to glance at the cat.
Owleye stretched, and got up to walk in the snow. She knew her joints would be hurting like crazy tomorrow from it, but she didn't care. "Mrrr..." She yawned, blinking. She heard Moonkit, and padded over to her slowly. "M-Moonkit?" The old cat murmured, hoping she was not asleep. "Please...don't be angry at your mother. S-She just worries about you." She purred. "After all, her precious kit is all grown up now."

Moonkit looked at Owleye. She kind of liked talking to elders. They were so wise and had tones of stories. But this was one time she didn't feel like talking. "Yeah, well if she's so worried, why doesn't she just say so? She doesn't have to flip out and..." Moonkit sighed. It was wrong to talk about Silvertail like that. "Yes, Owleye..." She murmured. "I'll try." Moonkit let a small smile cross her face. It was sort of funny how Silvertail had torn up the warriors den.
Icetail followed Torrentstar, only glancing back once to make sure Pebblefoot and Crystaleye were behind him. "Cruddy luck, huh?" Icetail mewed up to Torrentstar, and was going to say something else, when he heard a scuttling in the reeds beside him. Crouching low to the ground, Icetail got ready to leap. When the water vole came closer, he pounced, landing on top of it. He didn't even need to bite it; just landing his front paws on it had killed it. "I really need to loose some weight.." Icetail mumbled, picking up the water vole and continuing on.

Silvertail wanted to protest to the other cats helping her, she had made the mess. But Dampfoot was right, she would never be able to finish cleaning up before Torrentstar got back to camp and especially if Rainfur had already gotten back and he was ...with...Torrentstar.... the whole ... time. "Wait! What about Sandpaw?" She turned away from the pile she was forming and stared at Rainfur. Hadn't they went into Windclan territory to get him? What happened? She hadn't noticed the snow in her frantic search so it wasn't surprising that she didn't already realize the obvious reason.

Mooneye walked into the warrior den when Dampfoot and Moonkit had gotten out of the way and thankfully found her feet on warm, dry, bedding? She could hear cats scuffling around and she could smell the dirt. "What's going on in here?" She asked grumpily she had wanted to escape the cold not discover the remains of a cyclone. Then she smelled Rainfur's scent. "Rainfur? Where's Torrentstar? Where's the apprentice?" She was confused. She had figured that he might not cross the river aftr the storm, she had enough sense to figure that out even without seeing it, but what was to become of the apprentice now? He was stuck in Windclan for at least another few days, what was Torrentstar planning to do?

Guilt washed over Rinafur in waves as he hung his head low, ashamed. "We, couldn't even make it over the river. Torrentstar wouldn't chance it. Sandpaw is still, in WindClan." his claws scatched the wet earth below him. "I miss him. And it kills me not knowing if he's okay." he whispered, looking up at Silvertail with saddened eyes. This is the first time he had ever gotten into a personal conversation with her, and it shocked him that he was so calm.

Dampfoot kept an eye on Rainfur as he told of their unsuccessful journey to the riverbanks and back. She portrayed no emotion of her own, just continued shuffling around in the den. But the concern on Rainfur's face couldn't have been any plainer if it tried. She lashed her tail slightly, brushing a paw against her whiskers so as to clean them as she spoke. "Don't fret, Rainfur. It's not like this .. inconvenient weather is your fault. Besides, I doubt WindClan are likely to try anything funny -- it's not like they really have much of a reason to anyway, right?" Luckily, Dampfoot sounded surer than she was. In all honesty, she had no idea what would become of the apprentice. Her gaze was level and unreadable beneath half-mast lids. "In the meantime, we should probably try and get this mess cleaned up before Torrentstar gets back. I'm sure he's got enough on his plate anyway, without having to worry about this."

Silvertail turned back to her work as well. She would have said in a happy mew 'Don't worry Rainfur! Torrentstar knows what he's doing! Sandpaw is fine! He wouldn't leave him there if he didn't think so!' to try to cheer him up, but she didn't feel very cheery right now. And the unsuccessful mission was just another thing to dampen her fur along with the rain. Her thoughts drifted to Moonkit as she cleaned up the mess she had made searching for her. This would be her last night to apologize. Apologize for being so overprotective, so worried, so ....motherly, so loving.... What would Moonkit do when she got the freedom she'd been longing for, for so long? Would she run from the camp when Silvertail came to call? Would she acknowledge the fact that Silvertail had tried to protect her? Was she ready to let Moonkit go? Silvertail shook her head frustrated. This was a good thing. She hadn't gotten to see her other kits become ....apprentices, this was good! She wasn't sending her to Starclan.... She was just watching her grow up. She barely believed her own words. But she cleared the depressing thoughts from her mind as she rushed to clean the last bit of dirt away.

Mooneye simply grunted. She would have to wait for Torrentstar to come back to hear anything more important. Like what the clan was going to do now. While Sandpaw sat safe and dry in a medicine cat's den, Riverclan was going to have to deal with the River being frozen over. Or at least too cold to stick your paws in to hunt. What would they do for food? She sighed frustrated with the odds and began to shuffle her paws around creating a path in the mess so that she could reach the back of the den to lay down. She was tired, and cold, and she probably would be hungry soon. She closed her unseeing eyes despite the noise coming from the other side of the den, but she didn't fall asleep.

Pebblefoot was following close behind Crystaleye as they started back home. The snow was still falling heavily and it caught on her pelt and made her shiver. Suddenly she spotted a small peculiar bush with white flowers growing all over it. She walked towards it and sniffed. It smelled like something she recognized. She dropped her head in thought. It was something she had smelled before, but it was a very long time ago... She was tempted to take some and see what the elders could make of it but she didn't, for fear that it would be poisonous, and her curiosity would kill her. ((LoL pun xD)) She staggered on through the snow falling behing Icetail, her head still drooped in thought.

Airpaw overheard the news of Sandpaw. He lowered his head sadly. He hoped his friend was okay. Training would be a lot less fun without Sandpaw. He thought sadly. He watched the entrance waiting for the rest of the cats to return hoping Sandpaw would be among them.

Crystaleye followed the patrol back to camp, unable to get the tom out of her head. She mewed quietly to herself, "Maybe I'll see him again...when I'm out on patrol..." She murmured, her heart beating with excitement.
Owleye yawned, noting that Sandpaw wouldn't be coming back. Oh, well. It wasn't like WindClan was going to kill him.
