The next two weeks passed with less excitement than that particular night but still cheerfully enough. Adonai soon got over his fear of Cindy in her new shape, and both he and Aliya had fun with their new friend. Ulani, for her part, was glad to have her - besides having someone new to talk to, she found the girl something of a curiosity - she had met someone with wings, and someone with a tail before, but Cindy was the first person she had met with both wings and a tail.

Cindy had enjoyed her time learning and well playing while she was there. She never really got to play overly that much, since in the beginning there only had been three people (four if one included her mother). She played and took notes about the plants and even managed a few clippings though she didn't know if she would be anymore successful in growing them than the last time she tried.
She did take some of the minty sleeping plant though hoping to find a way to use it, but lessen the potentness of it so it wouldn't be as deadly if used too much. It was such an if-y thing, but as a proper drug, she wondered if it would help in case some of the fighters had to be operated on instead of healed at the school.

It was probably afternoon when Donovan came back a bit (or a lot) richer than before, though it was hard to tell with that spelled bag of his. He was none worse for wear, though he did get a quite a run for his money some of them thought it was a bright idea to try and steal the horse or the tack off the horse (or both for all he knew).
He deicded he would have to put himself at the tender mercies of his ecentric horse loving cousin and re-take lessons on fighting on horse. Otherwise he was fine.

Adonai was playing with his miniature horses in the front yard when Donovan rode in, and he scrambled to his feet and ran into the house where everyone else was getting ready for dinner.
"Cinee! Cinee! You Ada here! Cinee!" he shouted as he ran through the house, looking for her.
Ulani, in the kitchen, smiled and took another plate from the cupboard. "Excellent," she murmured softly to herself.
Ulrich, however, headed outside to greet Donovan again, as well as to check on the horse.
"Good trip?" he called out as he left the house.

Cindy looked up from where she was sitting on the couch making last minute notes. She smiled a bit as she closed it up and slide off the couch. The young girl studied herself for a moment, this was going to be odd, but Donovan should be use to it by now, she thought to herself.
"I'm right here," she called back, "I'm coming."

Donovan nodded wearily, he was use to less hours of sleep, but even then he was after all only a person of the creator, or creators whatever people believed in.
"Good hunt, but then again a single man travelling is tempting," Donovan replied back as he stopped the horse and dismounted, keeping the creature steady so Ulrich could take a look.

Ulrich came and took the reins from Donovan so that the man could relax a bit. "Well," he said to Donovan while looking over the horse, patting it down and stroking it a bit, "I'm glad you made it back all right. I wonder if perhaps you shouldn't take someone with you next time, though - there's safety in numbers, and two can be as stealthy as one, after all."
His brow furrowed slightly as he ran his hands over the horse's flanks. "You poor beast," he murmured; and he untied the saddle and slid it to the ground.
Adonai scampered over to Cindy and giggled up at her. "Cinee Ada here!" he said in a sing-song voice. "Cinee s'ow you Ada you no-booh?" He crawled up onto the couch and stood on it so that he would be a little bit closer to her height. "S'ow you Ada pretty fwowers, wight?" he giggled.

"Well..." Cindy murmured as she put away her book, "I'll probably show it to my Mommy. He's not really into pretty flowers or potions."
Well that was no true, Donovan knew a lot about posions which were potions and could be used as medince, however she would rather not discuss that aspect with him.

"If I do, that person is going to have to be taught how to ride a horse," Donovan muttered.
There was no way in hell he would take one of his family members, they would see more to exploit than he and his father would drive him insane before three days was out.
"None of the Winters ever needed to ride a horse, and Tao's form makes it easy for anyone to ride her... that and she has a gentle temperment... and the sense of a spoiled pet."

"Oh," Adonai said solemnly, nodding as if he understood (which there was a good chance that he actually didn't, really). "You Mama come heah, too? Dist yike you Ada?"
"It's just a thought to keep in mind," Ulrich replied softly, walking the horse in a slow circle. "I mean if you're going to have a ranch full of fighters the next time you come, then I'm sure one of them would be a good choice to take with as well."
Ulani appeared in the doorway just then and headed out to join the two men. "Welcome back, Donovan," she greeted him. "I trust things went well. Will you be staying for dinner before you leave, or do you have to go home right away?"

"No," Cindy shook her head, "She's back home with the rest of the family."
She wondered if she should go out to greet the rest of them, and musing on this Cindy wandered into the kitchen to see if Ulani was still there. Though she was sure, Ulani had gone to greet Donovan. It was.. just a bit akward for her since she never not claimed Donovan as her father, but she didn't call him daddy at all.

"I should," Donovan murmured.
He was just wary with working with people he knew nothing about, even though he trusted Ulrich and Ulani when it came time to hire the fighters. Still, he should drag someone from the family along.
Donovan thought about it, "I don't need to go home right away..." though he knew that in the time they had left he could have dinner later anyhow, "But it'll probably be close to dinner time back home as well."

"I'm sure you would be more comfortable going home, too," Ulani nodded. "I know the feeling. Would you like me to let Cindy know you're here? She'll need to get her things together ..."
Ulrich smiled to himself as he walked the horse a bit. He knew Ulani wouldn't say anything about Cindy's growing, he just hoped that he would be able to be in the same room as Donovan when the man saw her.
Adonai followed Cindy into the kitchen the same way he had been half-following her around for the entire two weeks she had been there (except of course the first few days after she had grown).
"Mama ou'side," he told her with a giggle. "See go 'side see you ada!"

"Oh!" Cindy smiled as she turned to go the other way to meet the others, "So they haven't gone inside. I suppose not, since there is the horse to see to."
She just wanted to see what shape he was in, though she knew he was probably in better shape than the students back at the schoo, but it didn't hurt to check.

"Please," Donovan answered.
He figured at this point that going home would be the best thing for him.
"I also need to leave a few things with you."
Rather several pouches he managed to get a hold of to them.
