Her growling stomach didn't have to wait long. A few shouts from the bar tender, and her attention was diverted to the man whom she had seen before. She also noted a very, very weird looking dog carrying his sword. Trying to ignore the mans pervert-ness, she gave kyo a wave before moving to the table he had directed to. As she sat down, a "nyu!" sound made her look towards the entry, were a small girl seemed to be looking her way. She blinked. Who exactly what this girl?

As the word "Pet" came from Neko's lips, the ball of fire quickly turned into a whip behind Neko's back, daring to snap and slice through him with the searing heat; there would have been no blood as the wound would have been burnt shut. But no sooner than the whip had formed, Skye had held up his hand to signal Hanse to stop, and he spoke very clearly, "Hanse is my partner until his debt is paid." He the turned his gaze back to Hanse, attempting to pretend to win the battle of wits.
Hanse snorted lightly, and the tendril of flame slowly snaked its way back into the ball of fire, slowly putting itself out. Hanse's arms crossed in front of his chest as he stepped out of the room, his wings shuffling back under a cloak to hid themselves as best they could. "No human could keep either of us as pets, demon." A sort of rivalry was always between the two races, and it was almost a second nature to them both to detect each others presence. Skye spoke under his breath to Hanse, "Yet another town we'll be kicked out of his week." He glared up to his eyes, "It's like you want us to get killed."
Hanse could only chuckle, 'Maybe this human is catching on.'

Riyo immediately covered her ears as the bartender just about screamed to the man entering the inn. "NYUU!" She screamed back at him, her eyes showing a twinge of fear, though luckily his loud tone hadn't continued.

Her eyebrow raised at his gesture. She looked down at herself, then back up at him... Not exactly catching his meaning or even the reason it was so important. She scratched the back of her head and continued thinking on the subject as everyone moved toward a table.

But before she was able to sit down, a familiar "Nyu" sound caught her attention. Her head darted to the enterance as she spotted a familar face. "MITSUUU!" She shouted and quickly ran over to the girl. Where had she gone? It was like she just disappeared without a word. "Nyuuu!" She greeted Mitsu with a big smile.

Kyo had begun to move towards the table with Rei Ichi, and was in fact about to seat himself when Riyo shouted a name very close to Hitsu's. He raised a brow at her as she ran to the door. Riyo's body blocked his view of the newcomer, but he wasn't concerned about that. His only worry was if his new acquantances were going to invite the stranger in the doorway to join them, and if so, whether or not Daelik would allow him to put so much money on his tab.

Daelik appeared behind Kyo after he had seated himself, as if just mentioning him in his thoughts summoned his annoying presence. "So Kyo, what'll you have to drink?" He asked, not really paying much attention to the two at the entrance of his Inn.

"I'll have a glass of Chateau du Soleil se Levant from the oldest bottle you have." Kyo said with a wry smirk.

"Ah, that's one pint of mead for Kyo, and...." Daelik said, glancing up from his writing pad to give Kyo a particularly odiferous stink eye. He then looked at Poke with his pencil poised over his pad of paper. "What will you have?" He asked while he was quite obviously staring at her...assets. He had planned on waiting for the rest of them to sit, but Daelik had noticed Poke had sat down first and looked as if she was going to gnaw the legs off of the table. He was glad he only had choice on the menu, as several dishes were already almost ready....all ready(?).

There was no reply to Neko's statement, Yuki only forced himself to turn his attention away from Hanse in order to follow. This was probably for the best, as Hanse's reaction to Neko's words probably would have brought Yuki to panic. His first step brought a stifled groan as a sharp pain traveled from ankle to shin, doubtlessly injury from the heavy furniture that had fallen onto his legs. The opposite leg wasn't much better, and as he stumbled with his first step, the other foot tried to compensate for it, causing a more intense stab of pain and nearly sending him to the floor. Had he not reached out to take hold of Neko's shoulder, he most likely would have needed picked up again. Jaw clenched, he growled to himself. Neko didn't have much chance to let go and walk without him, as Yuki kept a firm grip. Sure, it was humiliating to have to use someone as a crutch, but he didn't want another meeting with the floor. Or to lag behind enough to have Hanse change his mind on listening to Skye, for that matter. He continued along with much slower steps this time, to try and limit his discomfort. All the while his sobering mind worked to figure out just who he was to be thanking for this, aside from Hanse of course.

-----

Hitsu hadn't gotten too far before a sound at the door caught her attention, soon followed by Riyo's outburst and rush toward the door. She got glimpse of Mitsu just before Riyo stood in the path of her gaze, and she smiled. It was a relief, "Oh, thank goodness she's alright." Assuming that the two would come to the table on their own, she continued on to settle in a seat for herself as Daelik was taking orders for drinks from Kyo and Poke.

First, she fiddled at her waist a bit, producing what remained of the various coins that Yuki had given her from a small leather bag hidden just beneath her clothes. Just about a handful. She looked them over for a second or two, and as soon as she gave time for Poke to order what she'd like to drink she spoke up herself. "I'll take some milk." Yes, she was really going to be that cliché with her selection. "And..." She held up the money she'd dug out, "Is there enough here for me to purchase another dish?" She could hope so, since she could only assume that Mitsu might be hungry. It would be rude to expect Kyo to pay for all of them, especially when the invitation was originally offered he thought there would only be three in their party including himself.

ahh, so she did know hitsu and riyo, poke thought to herself as Daelik came over to ask what she wanted. She quickly pulled out a few coins from her bag and placed them on the table "Umm, I'll have a lemonade and...the dish you mentioned before..." it took alot of self control for her to not just blurt out "and yes, they are my breasts, have you not seen a pair before" And instead watched mitsu and riyo interact

Skye gestured towards the destruction of the room, "If we get caught here, and they see this damage.." He sighed lightly, then rubbed at the bridge of his nose, "We must leave." He let his body relax, then reached in his pocket for something. A few moments later, Skye retrieved a small pouch from his pocket, and tossed it into the destroyed room. "Maybe that'll cover the damages." He hung his head lightly, and began to head in the other direction, not wanting Neko or his friend to be associated with the damages from the room; perhaps it wasn't the best idea, but he could only hope it would work out that way.

Hanse was every so slightly bemused by Yuki's gait, he suppressed a laugh as the beaten man could barely keep himself standing. He didn't reply to Skye's words, he could care less what happened to Skye. The sooner Skye was out of the picture, the sooner he could go back to doing what he was getting paid to do. "Don't forget," his voice seemed to bore directly into Skye's brain, "You agreed to help me." It was true, Hanse's life debt wasn't the only agreement here. "We agreed, I owe you a life debt, but you agreed to help me with my job." He began to follow after Skye, "That's the only reason why I stopped, so you could help."

“Riyo!” Mitsu reached out to grab hold of the other girl’s middle to give her a hug. She had missed them all, but for some reason there was something in the back of her mind prodding her. Something was telling her she had a reason for why she had left their company to begin with but she couldn’t remember what it was. It was locked away along with the dangers they had been running from. Mitsu remained confused for a short moment lost in thought until she finally gave up on the matter and smiled up at Riyo pulling back. For the moment she was glad to see them and that was all that mattered.

-----

Cautiously eyeing the two, Neko helped brace Yuki as they approached the stairs. He only caught part of what Hanse said but it really didn’t matter. It was none of his concern. “Come on, Yuki.” Taking hold of his friend’s arm he ducked under it to brace Yuki up on his shoulder to help him down the stairs. “Let’s get the hell out of here. I’ll treat your wounds when we get somewhere safe.” He was actually sorry this had happened, but saying it was another thing. Those words would never easily leave his mouth, especially with a meaningful tone.

The words of the two men they'd left behind were little to Yuki past murmurs and hums in his ears. He wasn't quite back in reality yet, between the booze and being beaten. He made a mental note; Alcohol was bad, and this time drinking just a little had nearly indirectly killed him. Certainly, this was something he could do without. No more booze. No more. "Ah-huh..." Yuki confirmed to Neko, dragging himself along as best he could manage.

He gave a soft groan as his gaze on the floor brought view of the stairs. Flat ground was difficult enough, how was he expected to do this? He'd look like a hobbling old man, no doubt. Thankfully, this was one of the rare times that Neko had the intentions to honestly help him. Getting to the first floor still wasn't the easiest of tasks; It still hurt, but at least with Neko keeping hold of him, Yuki knew he wouldn't fall. "Th-thanks... I'd like to feel my legs a little less right now, please." He replied quietly, though he knew that such a thing was only wishful thinking. He was doubtful that Neko could concoct something so useful in such a short period, if at all. He doubted that much could dull this pain as he'd like. Yuki's gaze wandered as he finally noticed the considerably large laceration on his arm. He was sure that whoever owned the place wouldn't appreciate him bleeding on the railing of his stairs, but that didn't keep him from gripping it. The spikes on Hanse's tail had almost succeeded to cut cleanly off his wrist guard. Well, apparently not much of a guard, but it was handy to cover the scars that were already on his forearms. This, however, was going to be impossible to hide, at least right away. Hitsu would have to fix it for him.

Now that he thought about it, he felt a jolt in his chest. Where there other people in this place like Hanse? "I want to find my sister." Yuki said, and despite how weary he had to have been his tone was determined. "I want to make sure Hitsu is alright." As he finished his statement, he looked up toward the door. It was so far away. Once his legs didn't feel like they wanted to fall off at the knees, if he ever saw that dragon again, he was going to kick his a**. Or at least get in a fair fight. The b*****d wouldn't beat Yuki so easily when he was sober, he'd make sure.

He waved his hands in front of him in protest. "No, Hitsu, I can take care of it." Kyo said as he smiled. "Especially since this is your first time here." The inflection in his voice indicated that the last sentence was almost a question. He tried smiling again, but caught his reflection in the mirror. It seemed like a vicious gesture reflected back to him. Almost as if he had never knew what a smile was, saw someone else doing it, and gave a twisted facsimile in response. The smile quickly fell from his face. 'When dogs show their teeth, they are not amused' he reminded himself in a mumble. "Anyways, Daelik knows I'll pay him back. Not that that's an issue, because he is a gentleman and wouldn't let a lady go hungry under his roof. Right Daelik? Right Daelik?"

"Ahem, of course not." Daelik responded. He had long since finished scribbling down the females' drink orders, and had taken to focusing his attention on Hitsu's figure. "Uh...Who am I, again?"

Kyo chuckled. He had always found the moustached barkeep's inability to keep his...well, his anything... in check amusing. "You are the dunce that's going to get our drinks while we wait on our..." The next word came out like it was a backwards tongue twister written in an obscure forgotten language in melted crayon by an illiterate blind man on a wall that stretched out into infinity "friends to join us."

"Oh, yeah." Daelik said as he scurried off to fetch their drinks, still mesmerized by all of the luscious thighs that were prancing about his inn so sexily.

"Are you... Sure?" Hitsu asked, sounding concerned. She certainly didn't want Kyo to spend all of his money on them, especially since they didn't know him. She stared at him for a moment, looking a little confused by his idea of a smile. She wasn't quite sure what to think of the gesture, since after all it wasn't very much like a smile, and she slowly veered her glance elsewhere. She hesitated a moment, before putting her money away. It was then that she looked up to see Daelik staring at her, in which she stared back for a second or two, tried to follow his gaze thinking perhaps she had some stain or something on her clothes, found nothing, and looked back up with a relatively confused expression. What was he staring at? Ah, ignorant bliss.

Then, Kyo had finally turned the barkeeps' attention back to where it should have been, and she watched him walk off. "What was that all about?" She murmured, casting a glance at Poke and Kyo in turn. Thereafter, she shook her head lightly, and looked up to where Mitsu and Riyo stood at the door. "Riyo! Mitsu!" She called, hopefully not too loudly, but loudly enough to be heard. She'd wait for them to turn their attention to her, and motion them over to the table. Then, attention was back to Kyo. "Thank you again, Kyo. It's very kind of you to buy for all of us." She said, offering a smile.

Neko gave a cocky smile, “Feel your legs a little less you say? I can probably come up with something.” Those were dangerous words but Neko was pretty good about coming up with stuff that killed the pain, though they usually left the recipient as high as a kite in return. Shifting under Yuki’s weight, Neko made sure to keep his pace slow as he descended the stairs to make sure Yuki wouldn’t fall. Not even looking back to see if Skye and Hanse were following them Neko continued on once on the main floor and headed for the door with a bit more haste.

“We’ll find Hitsu after we take care of your wounds. Besides she’s not alone, they should all be able to look after each other.” Pushing the door open Neko dragged Yuki, ignoring any protest he may or may not have had, out into the street and hurried him along away from the pub. Hopefully they wouldn’t meet much difficulty finding a safe place to camp out for a few minutes while he tended to Yuki’s wounds. For several moments, Neko seemed to be looking for just the right place and finally settled on a dark alleyway away from the crowded streets. Once far enough down the alley to be out of view and out of direct ear shot Neko stopped. “This should work. Now just sit down for a moment and I’ll get you patched up.”

-----

Hearing Hitsu’s voice, Mitsu ears perked as she looked around Riyo to see where she was. When she motioned them over Mitsu obediently complied and knelt on the floor next to Hitsu once she was close enough to do so. She was not accustomed to chairs so sitting in one wasn’t the first thing that came to mind. Tilting her head up to smile at Hitsu something else caught her attention. For a moment an even brighter smile crossed her face as she scooted over to get a better look at the wolf that was at Kyo’s side. “Ko—” Her face fell. Of course this wolf wasn’t Ko, he was much to small not to mention blue. Was she starting to forget what her friend looked like?

She eyed the wolf for a while longer as if hoping it would magically change into her friend, but when it did not she scooted closer to Hitsu and reached up to cling to her arm. The disappointment was apparent on her face but she tried to smile despite that.

Riyo's tail wagged as Mitsu hugged her. She returned the gesture, though it probably looked a little awkward due to the difference in their size. But that didn't matter. The fact was, her friend was back! Riyo gave Mitsu a little space as she backed up.

Her ears perked up as she heard their names called. She turned to look at Hitsu and followed Mitsu happily as they were motioned over. When she got up to the table, she looked at it curiously. She'd never seen anything like this before. Riyo observed Poke, Hitsu, and the man they'd just met sitting in the chairs, then looked at one of the empty ones. Was she supposed to sit down in it? She pulled the chair out and hesitantly sat down, looked around for a moment, then curiously sniffed the table. It smelled like tree. It WAS tree! Amazing... How did they get a tree to do that? That's when she took a look at the building they were in. Hell, how did they do THIS?! Maybe... Maybe things like this grew out of the ground here! Yes, that was it. She smiled confidently at her reasoning. Such a genius.

Which was when she too noticed the wolf. Why she hadn't noticed it before was a bit of a mystery to her. Surely she would've caught wiff of it's scent... Her ears went back against her head. At first, she wasn't sure wether it would attack like the other wolves she'd met in the forest had. But... This wolf seemed different. Very different. Her head tilted as she stared at it cautiously.

sighing, poke watched the bartender walk off to get them some drinks, before answering hitsu's question "It's nothing hitsu. He was just....happy to see us" she didn't delve into a more detailed explaination. It seemed better to let them all sit happily.
As her gaze went back to riyo and hitsu, she was somewhat intruged at their behaviour. It was as if neither of them had even see a chair, or a table..or in fact many modern apliances. Mabye it was a tribe thing?

poke then heard kyo mention something about some more "friends" joining them. She raised an eye, not being aware that a few more people were joining them. And the way he smilied, it creeped her out.

(Sorry for the delay. Things have been really crazy for me lately)

Screams rip through his mind, tearing at his very soul. With a violent shutter, and an instinctive kick of the leg he sits up with a frenzied gasp. Quickly scanning his surroundings, he notices hes in a room...he thinks. Although there are no walls, floor, or ceiling, just black, and a silence thats only peirced by the ringing in his ears. Suddenly a blood curdleing scream tears through the silence, turning to meet it, out of the darkness comes a demon wearing the face of his first kill. It leaps into the air in an attempt to knock him down. Bracing himself he tries to call forth Rikimaru." WHAT?" Its no good! Why cant he summon it?! In a state of panic X crosses his arms to sheild himself from the attack. The demon, now close enough to smell its rancid breath disentigrates into a cloud of ash, littering the ground all around him.

Looking down at the ground the still glowing embers precariously gathered themselves at his feet forming a face. The strange face began laughing at him, and as it laughed it split into two, then four, then eight and before he could think he was sealed in a room of horrible faces covering every surface. Laughing at him as some sort of sick choir. The laughs cut into his brain like a razor touching on every memory, tainting every cherished thought. Falling to his knees in anguish he cupped his face in his hands only to find that hiding his face did nothing, for the images where in his head.

Suddenly there was something new, something familiar. Something of a releif, it was a voice. A womans voice cutting through the mindless anarchy, touching him, as if a life line pulling him from the depths of the abyss. With a violent gasp he once again sat up this time to familiar surroundings. Never had he felt so happy to be in a run down hotel. The face of the harlot was temporarily replaced by that of an angel as she had saved him from the horrors of his dreams. "You told me to wake you when..." "Yes, I know, thank you." As he gained his brearings the throbbing in his head began to ease, he noticed his dry mouth was gone. "Looks like it worked. You're free to go now." Reaching into his coat pocket he pulled out some coins and gave them to the harlot. "Easiest money I ever made mister. Its been a pleasure. You sure theres nothing else you want from me?" "Yes, I'm sure, thank you for your help." "Alright, but if you change your mind I'll be downstairs." With a nod and a slight wave X acknowledged the girl. As the girl began to exit the room X interrupted. "Actually, do you know where a guy could find information on bounties in the area?" The girl looked at him and smiled "I should have known, get dressed and come downstairs, have some food on me and I'll tell you all you want to know.

As the girl walked out the door closing it behind her X began stratching his leg."A little stiff but usable." he thought. Turning to look at his make shift IV he pulled it from his arm and threw it in the trash. That little trick had saved him several times. Shuffelng around he made his way to his clothing and dressed himself. Before zipping up his jacket he pulled his mask from the inner pocket."The messenger of death" X spoke under his breath as he peered deeply into the hollow sockets of the skull. "Sometimes I wish I was just "That old guy." Placing the mask back into its resting place he held out his left hand and summoned Rikimaru, sure enough with the sound of metal sliding across brimstone it formed in his hand as it had countless times before. Holding it in front of him looking it over he pulled it close and spoke softly to it. "I earned you dammit. When I call you, you come. Dont you forget that."Clenching his fist Rikimaru vanished. Opening his hand he looked at his palm, drew a deep breath, and made his way out the door.
