People passed and passed, no one gave him a second glance. Or if they did they avoided him. So Raine just sat in the cool shadow of the building, while the sky cleared slowly. He sat with his hands out as he stared up at the sky. The blue poked its head out from the storm of the past few days. He thought about how nice it usually was and that this freak whether would probably help the rice fields out. Another 30 minutes passed with no luck, and no money. Lavi might get angry if he didn't bring back enough. Would he? He seemed like a nice guy, Raine especially liked how they had meant, smashing into each other like they did. And when he had jumped across the villagers with the small boy on his shoulders. Raine had never felt so alive. It was so much like flying.

Shif yawned at the sight of the humble town."its VERY boring here now...i think iw as supposed to do somehting but i dont remember what it was." he said in a whisper to himself."hrm...something about.....kage.....and that girl we found..um." he thought over.....utterly confusing himself as he would find what he was thinking about...and then take a mental turn in the opposite direction." hrm...well i guess im utterly lost...." he thought as he loked around."that bench over there...maybe its comfortable!" he thought as he walked over to a nearby bench and stretched out on it...it was comfortable....so comfortable....:he suddenly closed his eyes and began to snore...quite obnoxiously...it could wake the dead really.....and how this was supposed to help him remember what he was sposed to do....only the heavens would know that at the moment.

With his new found technique Raine scrambled through the crowd, shoving his hands into people's lap. Most people fled quickly, but a lady that looked about the age of his mother handed him a coin. "Thank you." he squeaked up at her. His big blue dissenting in the light peaking through the clouds. She smiled and walked away. Raine quickly retreated to his post beneath Lavi's roof and squatted to count his gain. Once again his eyes lit up. 8 Ryo! He felt proud of himself. His mom never let him handle the money and only ever game him some to go and buy himself a little candy in the market.

Raine stood from his little fall, and set to walking around with his hands outstretched. At first no one gave him a second glance. As he walked, he wondered why people had given him so much money when he had fallen. Did they feel bad for me? he thought as an idea sparked in his tiny head. He moved a bit farther away to avoid being seen again by people that had already passed, and than he set about in a figure eight pattern with his hands out. All the time he limped as if his leg was permanently damaged. Concerned people walked up to him and handed him money personally. He would give them a thankful look and act as if he couldn't speak. It worked like a charm and he had three more coins by the end of his pattern.

Raine stood to find his way back to Lavi. He continued his limp act all the way back. Someone threw a ryo at his feet and Raine quickly grabbed it. As he neared his post, Raine once again turned his gaze skyward to try and see Lavi where he had been above the building. The cons clinking in his pocket Raine climbed a top a garbage can, he used his upper body strength to hoist himself on some kind of large cable and poked his dirty head over the edge of the roof. No one! Lavi wasn't there. Frustrated, Raine dropped down clumsily, making a huge den as the garbage can toppled to the ground.

"Well I sure hope she come back." Lavi thought about getting instated as an Otogakure ninja, and than imagined the Kage naked. "Yeah, I really hope she comes back." he had found another follower and was trying to hurry back to Raine. He couldn't jump across the roof tops like he usually did because the kid behind him would get lost, so he had to briskly walk through the back alleys. Luckily he recognized a few buildings close by and found his way back down to where he had left the kid. "So what's your name kid?" he turned down the the younger boy as they walked. But all of a sudden a huge clash down the street rung in Lavi's ears. He took off at a paced run. It could have been cats, but of coarse....

"Raine what are you doing!" he jogged down the hall and picked up the garbage can. This boy was such trouble.

"You left me all alone! I got all this money, and you went of doing your own thing. Someone threw a rock at me you know!" The hotheaded little boy pulled the coins from his pocket a whole handful that barley fit in his fist.

Lavi felt sincerely bad for leaving, and kneeled down to look Raine in the eyes. "Raine I'm sorry, I had to go and try to talk to the Kage. I was going to ask her if I could stay here and be a teacher in the academy." He revealed his true intentions and stood up. "You did really good getting so much money. Let's get some lunch with that because I want to teach you a new jutsu." at this Raine's eyes lit up and he pocketed the money once more. "Oh and this kid wants to train too." He pointed back at the blonde boy, he looked older than Raine but Lavi knew the kid wouldn't mind.

Raine stepped up to the boy. His hair looked like Raito's. "I'm Tekkenseisai Raine!" He confidently pronounced stepped up to the new boy. His fist clenched at his side and the weights on his wrist felt light. He loved introducing himself.

Lavi looked down at the new boy and smiled, "Nice to meet you Shikaree. I'm Lavi Itsuki." The kid sounded as if he had a bit of class, but Lavi had no clue of the status of families in Oto. After all he had only been there two days.

Turning and placing his hand on Raine's head jokingly, Lavi leaned on him and watched the little boy ignite. He laughed deeply and stopped, "Raine, for the Jutsu I want to teach you guys I need a super big rock." He paused and looked around as if thinking where he could find something like a large rock.

Raine's neck hurt already from the fight that day, and Lavi leaning on him didn't help. "Hey, buzz off would'ya!" He scowled as Lavi messed up his already rustled hair. Cross eyed he tried to catch a glimpse of it. He could only see the tip of his mohawk hanging down. More saggy than usual, after all it was weighted down with dirt dried from the mud he had soaked himself in. Lavi always teased him, it was no fair! Ideas of getting him back were interrupted by a much kinder voice than he was used to. "Huh? A big rock..." Raine thought for a second. "I guess the training grounds. It's just over there." His small finger extended southward through the market.

"Cool, let's do it. And Raine can we all grab a bit of lunch before we go?" Lavi asked politely, knowing that this would make Raine aware that it was his money. The little boy nodded. Lavi smiled and grabbed him, hoisting him up to sit on his shoulder, Raine was a bit big for this manuver but he wasn't heavy at all. He walked to a close fruit market, and checked behind him for Shikaree.

Raine gasped a bit, but was ecstatic with joy. Heisei had always lifted him up like this. Riding with his legs hung down over either side of Lavi's neck, Raine handed Lavi enough money to buy some apples. The shop owner handed them 6 in a bag, and thanked them before they set off down the street.

Shif was still sitting there snoring away on the cold hard bench...probobly dreaming of gallavanting through the country side hunting down sheep with his kunai and tearing them limb from limb with it......nevermind that was some mass serial killer homicidal maniac elsewhere in the village.....Shif was dreaming however but soon his dream of sweet ramen falling from the sky was interupted by a sudden eruption of azure flame....it was weird to s**t...especially since the flames werent burning his dreamland of gumdrop flavored ramen with ramen trees and a flowing river of ramen......out of the flames rose a medium man sized blue flame with a shrouded manlike figure inside of the flames."It is time for you to fulfill a long held blood pact between our families kenkomishi."the shrouded man said pointing a engulfed shrouded finger at shif."oh yea! and what ancient blood pact is this huh!" shif shouted at the man who flinched at the sudden roudyness..he hadnt expected it...but he guessed he should have since he did invade such an awesome dream."The pact that states any kenkomishi shell guide the way of an Anzan clan member through the paths of shinobi and allow themselves to help in the training of any of our clansman!" the man said regally and enthusiastically motioning through his sentences."and if i dont?" shif asked slyly his anbu mask suddenly falling over his dream self long kunai fading out of his arms and forming into his hands."you will be burned by our flames of torture and then we willd estroy your mind and body as says the ancient blood pact!" the man yelled his eyes glowing a deep azure blue."well then i guess i have no choice." shif said as he transformed back into regular shif."by the way!" the azure engulfed man yelled as shif began to fade from the dream world."you shell be marked by our fire....a servent of ZAHAK!" the man stated a ember of fire floating towards shif and it burned him the burn shaped itself with the visage of a mark.....a mark shaped like a twin headed snake on his forehead.

soon after this great scene Shif awoke out of breath sweating like he had been surounded by fire and hundreds of degrees of heat.Shif instantly cringed as he fent a singing feeling on his forehead. he grabbed at the same area the mark rested....it felt as if...it was there...but it wasnt there...it just felt as a flame was boring into his skull......it seemed to want him to do soemthing....and it urged him to get up and travel....so...he got up...and as he faced the training grounds..the burning eased a bit.....and he knew...whatever it was.....the mark wanted him to go there.
