The chevrons on the techmarine are alright. It kind of works as the wolves do have those random yellow patches in their color scheme on things like tanks. Not my sort of thing personally unless its on iron warriors, but it fits in.

Ob3y A.R.G.U.S Mykal Mr Russ also had 2 wolves, so I don't know if you got your money's worth. Also, I'd have updated his backpack to a 4th edition one.
I think Russ is painted well, but I detest the stripes. It's just personal tastes though.
-Mykal Oh yeah he came with the two wolves. and I wasn't exactly sure wether or not it matter'd if the backpack was 4th edition or 1st edition. (which is what I have alot of) 3nodding Rey: I had help with the fur. sweatdrop that was done by my step-dad since I can never get fur right. the rest was done by me though. 3nodding You got ripped off. Russ goes for $15USD on the GW site, even with Freki and Geri he should only be 25-30. He's painted cleanly to a tabletop standard I'd say. Probably a 5-6 on CMON. It's too blurry to tell on the others, though I can say that if you're going to do stripes like that you should try to get them straighter and more even.

Thanks, I'll have to look up the prices. cause I didn't really find it a rip off at the time. its pretty sweet to have a Leman Russ Miniture.. now all I need to do is get my self some 13th company guys... and on the subject of pictures. I'm gonna get a digital camera soon so I'll be abel to take better quality pictures soon. 3nodding

They look painted fairly cleanly, though it looks like you need to thin your paint more and your detail work could be crisper. There looks to be some slop. Once you do that you'll have basecoating down. Then you can attempt to add depth to your miniatures.

ninja How do you go about thinning your paint? Just adding water to it? If so, do you just use a normal palette thingy to hold the paint in?

Xenos Mortium ninja How do you go about thinning your paint? Just adding water to it? If so, do you just use a normal palette thingy to hold the paint in? it depends on what kinda paint you use. If it's the Game workshop stuff a little water should be fine. If it's Acrylic or Enamel then you should use the paint thinner the company that produced the paint makes available.

Josef's Tank, now with 75% more weathering!

Basically, it's my attempt at mud, with extra rust being added to the main chassis. You guys know weathering and mud better than I, and I'm more experienced at the little guys than tanks.

You shouldn't use enamels. I use a ratio of glaze medium and water to thin mine.

Well, I've painted with accrylics and watercolours before on Canvas, but I was unsure of the composure of the modelling paints. In the next couple of days I'll try to paint another minature with thinned paint and see how that goes.

I like your attempt. it looks good so far, keep up the good work and it should turn out to be nice and astetically pleasing to the eye on the battlefield. 3nodding

Im not too big on the paint, however I like the converting. Looks like a well done chaos marine, different and deadly looking but not so overly mutated that he should be somewheer other than a tactical squad. (im assuming it was a basic troop from the bolter and nothing esle on him)

Actually I prefer it that way. One pic in the thread as sort of a preview, then links to follow it up.
By the way the model looks dusty.
