His playing was still shaky, but the notes gradually got lighter and clearer...more distinguishable. When he was done with the scale, Yuumei seemed to be pretty happy - at least he could do the scale without problems now. The Sannin stopped him for a brief moment, before teaching him a simple tune, Three Blind Mice, with her flute using only the first three notes: do-re-mi. A simple challenge for him to use his ear to reproduce the same sounds - a fundamental but important part of music, so in later stages he could create phrasings on his own.

On his first try, Akeru easily reproduced the simple tune the Sannin had previously shown him. Yuumei nodded, glad that he had managed to at least advance this far and make some sort of music with the flute without making the instrument screech. The next tune she showed him was another simple favourite - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She played this one twice through since it was longer than the first, before setting down her flute in her lap and awaited Akeru to try and play the tune back by ear.

Akeru stayed still for a moment, replaying the tune in his mind before positioning his own flute. He was able to reproduce the lullaby without trouble. The next tune Yuumei played twice through, before breaking it into pieces for him. This one took longer to perform and demanded much more work with the rhythm and notes. She didn't expect him to get it correct on his first try through, of course - but she wanted to challenge the child by giving him something more difficult to work on.

Certainly much to Yuumei's surprise, Akeru played the tune back to her without trouble...no breaks in the rhythm or struggling with incorrect notes at all. And all the notes were clear, crystalline...no hints of screeching nor breathless breaks. It appeared that his natural rhythm and ear seemed to be unnaturally good, and he had picked up the tune well during Yuumei's first time playing it out. When he was done, Akeru set his flute down on his lap with a smile and waited for further instructions from his Sannin teacher.

"That went...disturbingly well..." Yuumei muttered, half to herself. What bothered her, was that this kid seemed to have more of a talent for aristocratic lessons and near-struggling with shinobi school-related assignments. But one thing was clear - this child was unnaturally smart and if she just has enough patience to push him to overcome his problem with the basics, he does have the potential to become a fine shinobi. "We'll have a brief dance lesson next. Learn the routine and follow my movements."

Akeru simply nodded at her order before promptly replacing his flute in his bag and then stood up, brushing a few stray blades of grass from his pants. Yuumei first showed him a couple of starting dance exercises, to stretch and relax the limbs, followed by a few dance steps. She turned around, began the dance steps again, slower this time, so Akeru could follow them easier before gradually increasing in speed. The child almost envied how gracefully she moved...but one thing Akeru wasn't told was that Yuumei was from a dance-based clan. After a minute, she stopped and then motioned for Akeru to begin with the basic warm-up exercises.

((These are my attempts to spell dance terms from the top of my head. Of course they aren't exact! I try though~! ^.^))

Demi-plea. Releve. Granbattamo. One by one, Yuumei began filling his head with dance terms and the particular movement associated with each one. She hadn't started on combining these moves into dance choreography patterns yet. But Akeru had no trouble at all with the warm-up exercises, in fact, a flicker of annoyance seemed to momentarily pass by Yuumei's face to see him easily mastering an exercise she spent time working hard on - even more infuriating, on his first try, too.

A single sweatdrop rolled down his face as Yuumei furiously sped up her dance. It looked lovely, certainly, but how the hell was he supposed to reproduce something he couldn't even quite clearly see? On certain occasions, her feet would seem to have not even touched the ground and on the moments they do contact, featherlight steps without even the dimmest sound produced. Akeru sighed and from his memory, tried to reproduce the dance from the movements Yuumei told him to make. After all, it was just supposed to be repeated over and over...not that difficult...

It may have taken him more time, but Akeru finally began breezing through the first dance routine effortlessly. After a while, Yuumei stopped and began showing him a new routine. She seemed more irate than usual too - occasionally commenting things like 'don't stomp like an elephant' and other unpleasant things about his posture. It was supposedly some sort of good luck that Akeru was among the more 'thick-skinned' and did not take offense to her rather cruel comments.

The second routine didn't even seem to affect Akeru at all as he breezed through the multitude of different movements. But, as the dance progressed, Akeru managed to make his movements less clumsy, more graceful and less space consuming. No longer, though grudgingly, did Yuumei comment about Akeru dancing like a 'flailing fish'. In fact, as the second routine went on, he even earned a 'pretty good' from the Sannin. Even though Akeru is so clumsy most of the time, still a dormant natural grace remained hidden within him...and it was flowering right now.

Akeru eventually stopped, however, and listened to Yuumei as she began showing him the steps for the third routine. And afterwards, she wanted him to put all three routines together to make one whole dance. A bead of sweat rolled down his forehead. She really wasn't cutting him any slack - all the Academy curriculum required after all was one extracurricular activity. The flute lesson should be enough...and she did make as advanced possible...but the dance lesson was getting to be rather ridiculous, considering on the curriculum all was inscribed was 'learning how to kick properly'.

An angry voice snapped Akeru back to reality. That's right...if he wanted to go home anytime soon...he better follow all of her orders, down to every last word. Akeru sighed inwardly as he observed Yuumei reshowing him the third routine and the Uchiha child willed his brain to take in the movements as accurately possible. But occasionally, his mind would drift off...his concentration was wavering by now... Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Yuumei finished the third routine and with a nod at Akeru, motioned for him to start.

Though it was unintentional, how easy Akeru breezed through such a difficult routine that Yuumei had demanded his absolute attention to drill in...was almost a bit insulting. A grudging 'good job' was earned this time and Yuumei casually waved him aside...which meant to hurry up and combine all three routines into one choreography and get this dance lesson over with. Even if it wasn't his fault...Akeru began to get this funny feeling that Yuumei would be making the remaining lessons of today hell - or at least as much as she could. Well, she didn't really help him during the earlier lessons he was struggling on either.

Almost effortlessly, Akeru combined all three dance routines...not forgetting a single pattern and performed flowingly with quite spectacular grace of movement. By the end, Kiroshiro had awoken from his nap and even the tiger had commented on how well Akeru was doing for his very first dance lesson. A shy blush crept across his face as Yuumei finally gave her praise as well - before telling him to rest up for the next Jutsu lesson, which would be the Kawarimi. Akeru nodded, before sinking down into sitting position among the grass - happy with the progress he had made all afternoon.

"Ok Kai you are going to read a bit of this book." He said pulling out a book with no title on it, "This will help your ability to gather information." He said and then hand Kaisude the book. He knew that the boy didn't know the book was empty, but there was a hidden message in it. If chakra is applyed then he would be able to read the text. It only takes a little amount of chakra, so it wouldn't really count against him too much. If anthing he would be able to figure out the second time around or so. Hopefully he would benifit from this training. Atleast Mal did when he was little.

Kaisude frowned now he was reading a book, No title. This should be an akward book. Hmm lets take a look shall we. He thought to himself and then noticed that the pages were empty, What is this. He is playing another trick. He thought to himself while looking over at the Chuunin who was looking at him. "So this book. I have to do something with it?" He asked, but he wouldn't get a responce quiet yet. He was going to sit there and think of a read this book, Theres got to be some kind of trick to this. He said in his mind and then looked at the book. He would just sit and stare at it, trying to figure it out.
