The creature laughed. "The purple dragon is right; what sort of bargain is that? She has good sense, as well as a good question. Come." All together, the Grey Folk raised their hands, utturing a soft spell, and instantly they all were transported into a large room. The sword in Silver's back was gone, but not so with the wound; Silver winced as her blood dripped slowly to the ground. Shaydra swore badly when she found out that she still couldn't move, arching her back slightly as she shared her pain with her dragon. The lead Folk gestured to a wall. "There lies the future lead Rider," he said. What he said was true; Sureana lay slumped, unconcious, against the wall, with her hands bound to her sides. The only wound was a slight cut on her side. Otherwise, she was quite unscathed. "Purple dragon, you have a choice," the lead Folk said. "Will you join us and your Rider and help us Grey Folk regain control of Alagaesia? Or will you stay with those fated to die?" He smiled slightly.

Shaydra cried, "Didn't you hear him? He said we were to die! there must be a way to win! don't go yet!" Silver fell to her knees, groaning, *Aye, Wyrda, but - ugh - choose whatever you want. We won't - errgh - change your opinion.* Dark red blood formed a puddle on the ground. The lead Folk glared at Shaydra. She struggled as the freeze spell enveloped her mouth, cutting off her voice. "Ask, purple dragon." The leader released Wyrda only from the freeze spell, now that she would not hurt them. "Ask away," he repeated.

"You, friend Brisingr Ebrithil, are going to help us find peace in this world. These offenders, your friends as you call them, will either be imprisoned or die. The silver dragon will die, though. In order to answer your second question, we will have a look in the past." The lead Folk nodded to the others, and they stepped back once, still staring at the captives. "When us Grey Folk imbedded our very souls into fabricating magic, some of us died from the drain of the enchantment. The rest of us fell into a deep sleep, and only magic saved us from being buried alive. As it was, we awoke underground. We rose during the Forsworn's time and viewed the world for what it had become: murderous, conflicting, and mind-shattering. even when the war ended, we still sensed that it would never stay peaceful for long. Eventually the high elves were aware of our presence, and only the lead Rider was told and sent to our hiding place. Laii'dor was easy to manipulate, and Ro'oc submitted willingly after we threatened his Rider. We sent them out to start our will, for the Grey Folk, after seeing mass carnage, vowed to eliminate the conflicting species and bring the world to peace. But your group defeated our pawns, and we sensed that with the felling of the old lead Rider came a new one. This was you Rider. And we discovered this place, with its crumbling walls and the magic crystal sealed inside, and discovered that with the help of this crystal, we could make peace to the world."

Ah I see. But what happens when the citizens of this new world don't like the idea? They're band together and resist. Don't you realize? This is just like Galbatorix. He tried to do the exact same thing but he only got overthrown. Now you wish to reattempt this? Why? Oh and I have another question. What are you planning to do with us? If I agree?

"You agree and your friends are imprisoned. You don't and you all die." The leader nodded. "Yes, I know the plight of Galbatorix. But we are strong, and the world cannot hope to compete with us in magic. We know its every twist and detail. Does that answer your question sufficiently?" The Grey leader spread his arms. Silver sank down, her heaving breaths growing shallow. her eyes were dimming, and her eyelids were blinking closed. Her time was running out. Shaydra struggled helplessly, unable to make a sound. "Oh, but the silver dragon will probably die," The lead Folk added. "I'm afraid her time is gone."

In one motion wydra swiped her warm breath over Silver healing her. Now that thats taken care of, I have yet more question. Will you use our true name's against us? And will we be of a higher power then you? And will we be ordered around by you?
