lilchibiusa Mireo lilchibiusa Yeah, I mean, who has $70 for a video game? xp The last gen console games never went above $50. I wonder why there was a change. I do. You know, because I make money and all that. ninja People want to own the next big thing. You can easily put an over-inflated price tag on that. Poor college students without jobs can't just pull out $70 whenever a new game comes out. And aren't most buyers of video games in high school or college? Even high-schoolers have disposable income. It's just that they don't use it for what they're supposed to.

I had to get a job to have disposable income in high school. And when I had said job I bought video games like crazy because they were so cheap. Now I get paid $5/hr more than I was in high school, and I won't go buy games because they're too expensive. I have the money for them, I just refuse to pay such outlandish prices for something I don't think is worth that much.

I'm going to have to start looking for a job. I'm graduating from college in May. I have a few ideas, but I haven't really gotten started on the job hunt yet.

Esoteric is a fun word. biggrin But I keep wondering... Is there a difference between esoteric references and allusions?

So I guess that internet memes would be esoteric references to the general culture. biggrin

Hey to whoever's a mod here (guild mod that is) would you be able to send Shin Seiki an invite to the guild? He's looking for a better place to hang out since his quest thread is pretty much finished. He's also an anime fan (to my knowledge), which is kind of the point of the guild anyway. Even though I almost never watch anime anymore. xP
I still think we should incorporate western comics and animation to the guild.

And thanks for telling Uncle Kenny for the invite. I didn't see an introduction thread so I guess I'll just join the random chatter here. Hello all. Actually, I just noticed UK just posted, so...thanks the invite. I don't frequent Gaia often, but I've known Skippy for quite awhile now and I'm glad to find a place to chat for a bit.

No I'm not in college. I work full time as a bee keeper in the summer and a loader operator in winter.

I know a lot about Ashram and he's barely on anymore.

To be perfectly honest, I haven't read many western comics, but I have seen alot of the comic book movies.
