Dragon Age: Origins

My party consisted of Human Warrior ( full 2-hand specializations ), Alistair, the dog, and more often than not... that bard chick. I ditched everyone else in the story by telling them to ******** off or killing them, whenever possible. I basically killed everyone I could in the game, which was a lot of people. The character I played was a ******** beast.

That being said, the key to winning that game easily on any difficulty is actually putting a couple of points into herbalism or whatever. You can get so many of those leaves in bulk that you can literally make hundreds of light healing potions in one sitting.

I guess it kinda felt like cheating, but I mostly just kept hitting the button for full life and wading through enemies with my basic attacks ( intermittently I'd use the knockdown attack or the sweeping ones ).

My first play through was on Hard Mode, but I consider it near suicidal to touch Nightmare mode. As described, this was for those who deem hard too easy and meant for tactical geniuses. FYI, my first character was the Shield and sword / Battleaxe wielding Dwarven Noble. Strangely enough, some of my normal adventures with in the end were harder than my first, guess Maxwell Aeducan was trained well. [ Beaten the game 3 times]

That blows though, but tonight you should have an opponent who will face your fearsome Lamia. Elli, I take it didn't push or thought of making this rpc a Lamia Noble right?

Edit: Went to buy lunch, thus a late post.

Did no one watch this? Dragon Age fan would lol

You're doing it wrong, KB. Go Reaver, or go home, damn it.

I probably would have... but I was trying to stick to roleplaying my character as being cocksure and acting like he's better than everyone else. They want to join me? Sure, they can be one of my vassals. They want me to show mercy and not kill them? Why should I bother, when everything in this world belongs to me anyway.

I think I had Morrigan put points into herbalism. I know my main character has points in persuade. Dwarf warrior with a shield specialization, I want to get Alistair to cough up the secrets of being a Templar so I can eat magic, and then pick up Ravager so I can eat health. Become a stout juggernaut.

Oh yeah, is it NIGHTMARE thats the hardest one? I consider that mode bullshit, for the first time player. XD That game isn't "tactical" enough that experience in the genre really makes a difference. It has really weird fight mechanics.

As for Reaver, unfortunately you can't get that class until near the end of the game. Bullshit I know, but what can you do?

Amusingly, I had a lot more difficulty with the undead/demon thingy in the shack of Denerion ( or whatever that town with the elves in it is ) then I did with the endboss dragon. That's not surprising though, apparently that undead douche is one of ( if not THE ) hardest enemies in the game.

-turns to look at the cameras, then lunges forward, snarling with fangs barred and tackles one of the camera men, snapping his jaws in front of the camera lens a couple times with saliva flying everywhere to make it look like he's trying to come through the tv's and eat the viewers-

It's not very complicated - everyone everywhere is immune to all poisons.

There is one poison no one is immune to.

Oxygen.

My Dwarven Noble Warrior was a true elitist on how I roleplayed him. Ignored all these religious BS, especially the Chantry. He was the Francis of Dragon Age : " I hate Humans, I hate Mages, I hate p***y a** Elves, etc." Only thing he liked was his own kind and warrior types. Alistair received the most aggression, but overall total Warmonger who ******** at every opportunity. FYI, he was a berserker/reaver.

Yes NIGHTMARE is the hardest and man you must be wise with the tactics since friendly fire full damage, heal less, etc. That undead monstrosity your referring to, got damn did I hate that thing. Worse Revenant encounter considering near the beginning got my a** handled by them >.<
