-=Neko sighed, grabbing his ribs again, and looked at Reeve=-

Well, damn. I can't find any trace of the guy. Let's just get her rested..I'm sure she knows what happened...

-=He looked at Reeve and Seph, then quickly made his way back to the dojo=-

Seph looked up at Neko and nodded. "You're right." He shifted Nyl so she was on his back. He looked up at the trees, then to Reeve. He leaned forward so she didn't fall backwards and nodded his head for Reeve to follow.

"Nah, I've got her, I think." He smiled at him. "Hear the trees? If you listen long enough, you can pick up on their emotions." He turned to look at him again. "Y'know, you're probably the most dependable of any of us, Reeve." He said, as he began the short trek back to the dojo. "No matter what's thrown your way, you always come back to help out. We're going to need your herb knowledge in the medbay."

You might be over that phobia, but I'm not taking any risks while you're unconscious. Seph's eyes reverted to their normal, blood-red color.

Seph laughed. "I'm not the one you should be asking to teach you. She is." He nodded his head to the girl on his back. "She can hear what they say. It's rubbed off, though. Hell, I'm not even sure if I can actually feel the trees, I probably just think I can, from spending so much time with her." He smiled and looked over to him again. He was glad to have Reeve with him. Not just for the company, but for the added protection, as well. It made him feel much more comfortable to see Reeve on his guard. "That's not so much a resignation, though. Right now, you have the best of both worlds. On the battlefield, the medic is your best friend. Once the shooting stops, he's lower than dirt. You, however, aren't lower than dirt in any of our books." He stepped over a root. "I can understand how you might feel left out, though.. give it a bit of time, you'll get back into the groove of things, I promise."

"That's true, but when it comes to Nyl, it's all up to her. I can worry all I like, it won't change anything, and I know that." He smiled. "Just gotta have faith that she'll be okay, is all." He could see the clearing up ahead.

"Ooh, we'll never be out of enemies. As long as we keep teaching the next generation, we'll have a source of enemies." He smiled at Reeve. "There is no rest for a Nin. I do believe this is as close as we'll get to peace. Demons fear us, enemy nin avoid us, and the government..now, at least.. doesn't interfere with us." He stepped into the clearing.

"Fenris is posessed, Nyl just got stabbed...if this is peace, I want a peace that doesn't cost as much."
He follows Seph, looking up at the sky.
"For all my whining I guess I'm just too ready for optimistic times."

Nyl woke enough to feel herself being put down on something soft. She couldn't think of anything like that in the forest...

Oh no. They must have come, the rest of them. He'd said they would come, that I hadn't won. Still barely awake, Nyl acted on that instinct, and shoved weakly at Seph, trying to get up and get away.
