It's way less painful than blood tests and such. When I get numbed, I get novacaine. And when they numb me up, I'm numb for like the rest of the day and most of next. xD;;
*hug* You'll be fine. heart

K i c h o u *hates the dentist too* Worst thing is that no matter WHAT They are doing, from cleaning to fixing cavities, they always use shots to numb your mouth now >< When I had one tooth pulled, they didn't use the shot and it only hurt once, and not even that much! I don't see why they stopped using numbing cream >< I hate when they clean my teeth, I hate the noise, I hate stuff in my mouth, I hate ALL of it! And I've always hated shots so it just makes me hate the dentist more! I try to avoid the dentist whenever I can. And braces suck, I'm glad I got mine off like 2 years ago. But the rubber bands and metal rings do suck >< I had to have 4 of each as well... And it always hurts too...tightening them and the wires...It hurt abit taking them off as well... .___. Dentists make me cry T~T ...I must have a nice dentist then...he asks me if I want novacane or not. eek
Although...he has known me almost all my life. sweatdrop Great dentist by the way. 3nodding

Oh man...all this numb talk makes me thing of my operation.
We were getting x-rays for my mouth for my braces. But they discovered that I had an extra tooth growing somewhere in my upper gums. It was just behind my two front teeth.
So I had to go completely under anesthesia, and they had to cut it out. xp
I came home, completely feeling like I was high or something...laid down to go to bed with gauze in my mouth...and woke an hour later to find blood all over my pillow. gonk
I had a weird dream that night too. sweatdrop
But the next day grandpa bought chocolate ice cream and I was able to eat it. A few days later I could see the stitches in between my teeth, and eventually they all fell out.
But overall...not a fun experience. talk2hand

What kind of anesthetics did they use to knock you out Taylor? I had an endoscopy around a year ago, and they used some needle medication to knock me out(I know part of it was valium, but I'm not too sure if that's the whole reason). They actually had to wake me up, because I was still sleeping a half hour after the procedure was done. (the actual procedure is only 15 minutes itself).
I felt really out of it for the time I was awake that day. I had my mom next to me when I slept, because I was afraid to sleep by myself or something O_o'
@Alex- Thank you so much for sharing this with me heart I'm going to be receiving novacaine, so I'm really relieved finding this out. I'm also going to have some gas given to me, though I'm not sure how that's really going to work because they are going to give it to me after they gave me the needle.
You have no idea how much you helped me ^-^ Thank you!! heart

I GOT THE JOB!!! *dances with joy and weeps in thankfulness*
*snuggles Ashley* Offline boyfriend is more important than online girlbuddy. XD
Tiana: Once the bases are ready, Meri has already settled the theme. ;3
Kimi: ;0; *massages Ree's gums with baby orajel*
Malee: Happy anniversary! ^0^
Jen: Owwwo, dentist. *fears* I'm glad the princess made it through without any trauma. I had a sucktacular dentist when I was little. My mother's dentist's son. Warning sign #1: he worked for dad. Nicknamed Chip. There's warning sign #2. He once pushed the needle in so far he scraped the tip along my jawbone. I can still hear it, all these years later. *shudder* On another occassion he dropped a pulled tooth right back into my throat and I reflexively swallowed it. He laughed and said, "oops."
Vin: *AHAHAHA* OMG those people are nuts. XD ...DAMMIT I still haven't sent you my kimono avatar. >.> Must do tonight once I get to my graphics compie.
Taylor_Highwind: I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled under general anaesthesia. When I came out of it I reacted badly. Slapped the nurses who were trying to hold me down, wept copiously, and screamed for my surgeon by his first name even though I was always careful to call him "Dr. Hoff" before. *shudderfest* Thank God I moved away shortly afterwards and never had to see them again.

*hughug* Congrats Meri! That's awesome!!!
Yeah I've had dentist that I didnt' like to well, and one of the ones that bugged me the most was one who kept saying he was my "friend" with that smile... *shudder I'm sorry but no dentist (at least not that I have to visit) is my friend!
Of course I can be glad that I haven't had to swallow a tooth or such... though that reminds me of when I was younger and I lost a tooth my little brother ate it... Parents wrote a note for the tooth fairy (so they didn't have to check diapers) and I left that note for the tooth fairy instead of my tooth. I got the money still though so hey. I think by that point I didn't believe in the tooth fairy anymore, but being the oldest the tooth fairy still had to pull through.

CONGRATS MERIKO!
For me, any "poke" that feels like it's going in my skin hurts. I don't like a pinch, I don't like a poke, they hurt me quite badly despite how gentle somebody is doing it >< I hate having shots in my shoulders and arm, so I hate it even more having it in the side of my mouth and my gum...
And...I should get to bed XD I said I'd go to bed 2 hours ago, but I kept updating my journal xd

@Jen- I had something very similar happen to me as a kid, except I lost the tooth in my neighbor's yard whee heart My parents really gave me a lot of stuff when I lost my first tooth, like $20, and about 5 computer games. The told me after they gave me all that stuff that she wasn't real. I was disappointed, but since I had a younger sister, I got moneyfor all my teeth up until I lost the last one(which is when she stopped believing)
I'm also off to bed myself. I need to get up in 5 hours, and I don't want to be too tired at school tomorrow ^-^ heart

Emi: When getting shots in the arm, try your very best to go limp. Breathe deep and concentrate really hard on something else, like...uh...a giraffe sniffing a cherry pie. It hurts less than when you're all tensed up and focusing on the expected pain.
Aww...everyone is going to bed now. ;-; Eh, I need to concentrate on clearing out my waiting list anyway. *scoots*
