Hayate chuckled "Don't blame the nethicite you have your armour on," he looked back at Oassu wondering what Felina had told him "I don't have a wife, I have a partner" he called back.
"It means hes in a civil partnership. Its one of those things given to couples that can't marry due to tradition. In his case he isn't allowed to marry because hes with another male" Felina quickly explained so Oassu wouldn't get confused.
Satoshi rolled her eyes "Geez your taking this far to seriously. Its not like I'm going to get all upset about it"

Itaka grinned "I know I ain't shallow Seph but umm lets stop talking about this kinda thing" he laughed with a tinge of nervousness in his voice "I can't get soft on the battlefield we could get attacked at any minute" he said putting on a hardened face.
Oassu blushed and looked at his feet "O-oh thats what you meant, geez I feel foolish now" he said kicking the dirt.
Zadina jumped up in excitement "Ok Cap'n Alpha if you say so" he chirped happily taking back his book.
Mari released Satoshi and giggled a little "Sorry Satoshi I get the feeling your not a huggy person, me neither when I'm in a bad mood" she said absently before turning back to her "So why did you two join this group anyway" she asked them.

Seph snickered at Oassu's reaction then turned back round "Suit yourself. We'll focus on the road ahead so theres no need to be nervous"
"Don't dismiss stuff because a book says otherwise" Alpha advised Zadina. A small smile crept up on his face kids are always easy to take care of at this age
Hebal paused "Well... the group accidentally revieled my location to a group of people that want to kill me." she explained

Hayate looked over his shoulder at Oassu "Whats his problem?" he scratched his head "But enough soppy talk"
Felina giggled a little and lifted Oassu's chin up "No need to feel foolish. It wasn't the most obvious thing in the world to guess. And you wern't going to get much closer"
Satoshi leaned in closer to Mari and Hebal "I simply stuck around because it was beneficial for me to. At the moment the village has allowed me to freely move around freely provided I fill out a report showing some effort to do my job every few months"

Itaka grunted "Yeah besides I think we're almost there" he said pointing to a point where the cave opened out ahead. "Feels like we've been walking down that corridor for ages"
Oassu squeezed Felina closer a little "Thanks Felina I got me silly moments I guess." he said turning to the opening where an orange glow came from "Looks like we're here."
Zadina smiled simply before turning his attention to the light "Thats nethicite light...and a lot of it" he said frowning a little.
Mari giggled "I guess they owe you Hebal, but I still don't have a good idea of why you want to stay so badly Satoshi, it's beneficial how?"

Seph noticed the orange glow and cautiously walked into the light "We have been. It's a surprisingly big cave. And we have spent at least half a day in here"
Alpha yawned and stetched his arms out "It's about time! My feet are getting tired"
"You enjoying your stay with us Mari?" the viera asked. Hebal sniffed the air and rubbed her eyes "The mist is making it difficult for me to see"

Hayate pulled out a watch from the back pocket of his tousers "We have only been walking for about 4 hours"
Felina nodded squeezing Oassu's "Yea we are. This must be where kyato is. If we get into trouble I'll take care of you" she smilled and pushed some hair out of her face.
Satoshi sighed "Its just... I'll tell you another time since we are here now" she told them allowing her to have more time to come up with an answer

Oassu nodded leaning closer for a better look "Yea but not just me ok you gotta look out for all of us ya know" he told Felina.
Itaka leaned over the edge of the opening where ninja were working mining the nethicite "Looks like...about... 20 I'd say" he said looking over he spotted a large wooden gate at the back of the cavern in between 2 raised platforms. "Whats that...more?" he said spotting Kyato going further back through doors on both sides of the gate while ninja stood position around it.
Zadina peeked over "20 is a lot..." he moaned.
Mari turned to Zadina "Don't worry...I'll take half of them for you" she said with a smile reassuringly before turning her attention to Hebal "Yes I love it here...your all such interesting people and I'd never get to do this stuff back home"

Seph leaned in closer to see what the others were looking at "There doesn't seem to be that many ninja about, 20 is nothing we can't handle. What I want to know is how many more are behind that door over there"
Alpha walked forwards and peeked over "Did Kyato go through there?" he asked pointing to the set of doors.
Hebal looked around trying to find a place she could look from. She sighed as Alpha peeked in, which had prevented her from seeing anything. She smiled at Mari "You don't get to do a lot when you always stay in the same place"

Felina nodded leaning in closer with Oassu "I know but it's you that makes me worry the most sometimes" she whispered.
"Yes he went through there. But do you mind, your squishing me" Hayate complained as Alpha took up all the remaining room.
Satoshi leaned against the wall not bothering to look "Theres 22 actually. So either you miscounted or two are hiding" she stated casually

Itaka glared at Satoshi "Yeah so long as they don't call reinforcements but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it" he said hefting his sword "Ready? Lets go!" he said putting one hand on the outcropping and leaping over it landing on a ninja mining below "21!" he cried stabbing the ninja.
Mari nodded "No doubt you know that too huh?" she said drawing her sword and dropping down by Itaka.
Oassu gave Felina a kiss "Don't worry" he snickered "I'm a big boy I can handle myself" he said dropping down and landing on Itaka.
"YOU DOLT!" he yelled pulling Oassu off of him and slamming him into the ground he sighed and scratched his chin "Felina he's all yours" he said stepping away from the dazed Oassu.
Zadina bit his lip at what became of Oassu and cast a float spell on himself allowing him to float down gently in a bubble before bouncing gently off of Mari's head and onto the ground.

Seph laughed and dropped down "Real smooth Oassu. And make that 20" she stated as she sliced through another ninja who had attempted take a swipe at Oassu.
Alpha turned his head around to Hayate "Quit your whining, I'm moving anyway." he jumped down with a small thud on the ground next to Zadina.
Hebal walked up to the edge and took a quick look around once Alpha had moved. She jumped down next to Mari "If we kill them off quickly there will be no need to worry about reinforements"

Felina giggled and droppd down next to Oassu on the other side to where Seph was. She gently pulled him off the ground and kissed him back "You may be a big boy but that doesn't mean you don't need support from time to time"
Hayate sighed dropping down "Thank you" he muttered and looked around "They don't seem to have really noticed our arrival yet"
Satoshi looked down then teleported next to Itaka "They will notice soon enough" she answered brushing the dust off her outfit.

Itaka grinned at Seph's kill before sighing "Hey Satoshi I wanted to say the bad a** line" he said sadly as a whirlwind that resembled Mari rushed by him into the nearest ninja. "Oh well lets get started he said heading out after her"
Oassu groaned "I can't convince you can I?" he said holding his head "Still with these accidents I keep having I'm not surprised."
Zadina walked along after Itaka but stepped back after a ninja cried out as a spurt of blood fell in a line in front of him. Heard Mari cackling with triumph a second later before tutting and casting water on the cave floor to wash the blood away.

Seph quickly wiped the blood off her sword "Save the bad a** lines for the battle. We finally have some action " some of the ninjas turned around and pointed at the group before approaching them.
"Now is a good time to convince her" Alpha told Oassu while picking up a ninja who had teleported behind him.
Hebal followed the others a long the path and glanced over to Zadina "Your not going to get all queasy at the sight of blood are you?"
