"Thank you," Tora said, bowing. She turned and got to Serena's room. "Home sweet home," she chimed.
Tora placed the bags in a corner for Serena. "Ano...," she said, unsure of how to begin. "If I'm a good teacher, how is it... how is it that Omny turned on me?" she asked, spinning on her heels to look Serena in the eyes, a frown upon her smooth face.

Serena had almost forgotten about what had happened between Tora and Omny.
"She did not take to the lessons, I guess. You cannot blame yourself for everything that happens with your maikos,"Serena explained gently.

"Thank you, Onee-chan," she said, using her nickname for Serena. "They always do say there's at least one bad apple in the bunch," Tora added.

"Yes," Tora laughed. "Well, how about I prepare some tea while you unpack and get settled?" she asked with a smile.

"That sounds like an excellent idea, Tora-chan. I would very much appreciate some tea,"Serena smiled.

Tora smiled and bowed. "I'll be back, then," she said, turning swiftly and walking out of her room, shutting the door gently behind her.
She walked into the kitchen and pulled some Jasmine tea from the cupboard. She placed it on the table and then put a pot on the stove and brought it to a boil. She then poured the water into a kettle and placed a strainer over two tiny tea cups. Sprinkling the tea leaves into the strainer, she poured the water over them and let the flavor sink in.

Serena was nbusy putting her things away, making sure to completely empty her bags. Soon she was all packed away and awaited Tora's return with the tea.

Tora smiled when she saw the tea turn a rich brown-greenish color. She picked up the try and headed up stairs. When she reached the door, she knelt, placed the tray beside her, knocked, and called out, "Serena?"

"You may enter, Tora-chan!"Serena called out to the girl. She was glad to spend a little time with her friend again.

Tora smiled and picked up the tray next to her. She entered the room and placed the platter on Serena's tiny table. "Here we are," she smiled. Tora slid a cup to Serena and said, "Please, have a rest."

"Thank you, Tora,"Serena smiled, kneeling on the pillow near her table.
"So what has been going on since I left?"Serena questioned.

"Nothing at all," she said a little sheepishly. "It's been very quiet... However, that has given me time to train my Maiko," she said, smiling. Tora sipped on her tea.
"And you?" she asked. "What all did you do on your trip?" she asked again, interested to know what her Onee-san had been up to.

"Well, I got to see Paris and I must say, the Eiffel Tower is very impressive. I also got to go home to America and it looked so lovely at the beach. It was a very relaxing trip,"Serena replied, taking a sip of her tea after her own story.

Tora smiled. "Um, the beach, I do miss it so," she said dreamily. "Are the beaches in America like the ones here in Japan?" she asked, head cocked to the side, and brow frowned.
