I thought she'd be more of a vampire succubus type thing...cuz of the alluring ness and the fact it turned into a bat sorta kinda...

The Celts, as much as someone may argue against me, were barbarians, so I'm expecting something a little Amazonianish, or clad in skimpy armor. I would very much like an archer woman.

Here're the parts I missed:
Alraune is the German term for the Mandrake root. According to legend, this plant grows from semen of hanged men under the gallows. It was said that if a witch created certain tensions with a Mandrake root, a soulless and loveless child would be born
There was a novel named Alraune about a child concieved by a professor who artificially inseminated a prostitute with the biological fluid of a hanged murderer. The child has no sense of love.

The bat part may come from a "recipe" for a Homunculus-esque "Mandragora" thing. It says to bury a bryony root in a churchyard grave and water it with milk in which three bats have drowned.
Also, the Mandrake is a member of the nightshade family.

*resist the urge to buy all the new items* Well, I only got the Multipants, because they're a funny/unique item.
*scrambles the charred bits of egg he can gather from the floor*
An interesting bit of mythology, Trowa. 3nodding
EDIT: Luck, for once, is on my side. I got the Longcat Scarf from the Infinity Hat!

That may be true Trowa, but that would not explain the "alluring aura" that was pulling men and women towards it to buy it as it said in the explanation of the item when it came into the item shop.
Psh, BUY THEM YODER BUUUUUUYYYY *drown* become a consumer of the interweb societies.
