University's are known for having more prestige in Italy, where ordinary colleges are practically trade schools or general education. University is the equivalent of an Amerikan Ivy League school, except tuition is paid by the government, they throw you on the street if you start to slack.
Uni has been known to be used as an expression for University from those outside of the States of Amerika.

I thought your character was still in the Chicago ruins. *goes back to read over past posts* I fixed it!
With all those bullet posts in Shino, I'm not surprised I missed its mention. Aside from that, I saw all the other character hitting the hay. I can fix this, too!
