I like the Vocaloid character designs, but the only voice that I really care for is Miku's, and that's still only just okay.
Really, what the fanbase comes up with is more entertaining than the voice synthesizer itself. @_@ Alice of Human Sacrifice, anyone?

Old Man KB You want to know? You honestly want to know? One day I was playing OoT and for some reason the rainy portion of the graveyard and the song of storms was particularly haunting to me. So that day when I was RPing KB ( or K as he was known then ) I decided to have him stumble across an ancient dragon skeleton. Why? Because he was really good at digging, and could dig super fast like a little mole. So then he dug his way into the suspiciously empty ribcage of the dragon ( through its head and down its throat ) to find a magic gem! Said gem allowed contact for the mean, dead dragon into little K! Rain came down all crazy like and he almost drowned, but managed to crawl out of the cave just in time! After that he began to change. He grew older very quickly, his eyecolor and skin changed... he finally developed the ability to speak - but only to voice his newfound hatred for his friends. From then on he was known as KB, and he was forever mourned over for his slaughter of his friends and the death of his "true" self. ...I was so newb back then. The dragon tower had a whole floor dedicated to KB though and his art gallery of butchered corpses, so that was kind of cool. Hideous, hideous history though. XD Oh.

I actually like the songs the fans manage to come up with for Rin/Len. There are creative kids on Nico. But they get stuck in my HEAD.

Old Man KB Hideous, hideous history though. XD That's actually really interesting. A lot of people, as they go on, will revise, revamp, or retcon their character's backstory to be something a little better written or a little different than what they had originally had... which is understandable, because when we start out we're not particularly great writers and tend to just go with half-assed explanations of "this happened, then this happened, then this happened, and now he's awesome". But you cannot deny what's in posted history. And it's always interesting to see where people's characters came from.
