~No, Nyl.. The Mizukage is here about a mask...I'll be in my office..I could use some help, though, my ribs are killing me and I don't think I can do much without making it apparent I'm hurt... I dont want these guys snooping into our business because they think I'm weak...~

She shook his hand of her own, but stayed close behind Neko. She waited as the man entered Neko's office.

::The Mizukage walks into the office, looking at the view before turning to Neko, who was just walking through the door, after holding it open for Eli, as well::
This is the Riftweaver girl?
::He looked at Eli, sizing her up::
I would guess so...The mask was her Grandfather's...

Falling to his knees as the final shadow clone decipated Deaden groaned. His muscles ached, but he refused to give in. Struggling he standed.
"Two thousand more kicks," he said.

3..
He said in his mind, unable to spair the breath to say the words out loud.

Nami jerked away with a start, surprised at how sore her neck was. What the hell? She wondered idly, looking at her surroundings with bleary eyes. Slowly the night before came back and she grimaced, realizing she was asleep in a chair, in one of the medbay rooms. Stretching her legs, she let them fall to the ground.
Everyone was gone. Wonderful.
Still massaging sore muscles, she made her way towards the main room. Stepping through the door, she realized belatedly that she was still wearing the pajamas Neko had loaned her. Whomever's they were, she wanted to wash them and return them.
There was a figure in the main room leaning against the wall. The hair and chakra was a dead giveaway. It was Clow. She moved a few more paces so that she could see his face. She froze for a split second. An ANBU?
"Clow?"

Nyl made it to the main room without so much as a mental whisper of reply from Neko. She noticed Clow in a very strange-looking mask, and Nami giving him a stare to match.
"Good afternoon, you two. Clow, are you practicing for the end of the month, or something?"

"Hmm?"
He turned his head to the presence that had joined in and blinked for a moment. He had been in a trance looking out the window before he realized Nami had joined him in the room. He forgot that he was even wearing his ANBU mask, since he was only going to wear it for the arrival of the Mizukage.
"Nami? Yeah. It's me, Clow."
Then he looked over at Nyl and chuckled some, as he shook his head some.
"I guess I should tell you a secret I've been hiding huh?"

::The Mizukage walked to the desk, picked up the mask, then walked to Eli, looking her up and down before inspecting the mask::
This is his, alright..Beriadan Riftweaver's. i'm pretty sure he hasn;t told you anything about himself, and for you to have this can only mean two things.
Beriadan was a comerade of mine, we trained together when we were younger. He was one of the most elite Shinobi of our village. It was his role to become the Mizukage, instead of me, but he declined. He had a uniqur Kekkei Genkai...He could control individual particles of chakra, and see through Genjutsu and Chakra masks better than most Hyuugas and Uchihas could.
When it came time for the title of Hokage to be passed on, he disappeared. He had always talked about wanting to start a family, away from the life of a Shinobi, so that's what I figured he did, and I left it atthat. The next week I became Mizukage, and Riftweaver just became a legend, after that...
So, what happened to him, young one?

Of course, she had no guarantee he'd listen. Neko could be every bit as stubborn as she was.
"You probably do, Clow, yes." She crossed her arms and sat down on a couch, glad she had changed into something that hid the chain-patterned burns from view.

Seph jumped, rolling off the couch and landing on the floor with a solid thump. He looked around the Main Room, eyes wide. When he finally realized where he was, he lazily flopped back on the floor, rolled over, and picked himself up.

"You're an ANBU?" She stated, more than asked, arms falling to her side. "A Konoha ANBU...but...I mean I should have figured you were from Konoha because you're an Uchiha but...please dont be offended, I don't remember you...and I should. We're the same age..." She bit her bottom lip thoughtfully, trying to conjur up any image from her memory. She should have known him at some point...the was the vague idea of a red-haired, blue-eyed boy from her Academy days, but it was a fuzzy picture at best. Damnit.

"Well he did have a family. Got married, and had two kids, my father and my uncle. No one really speaks of him though, or anything he did in his life. He died when I was 4 or so, again I'm not sure how. The only one in my family who ever willingly spoke of him was my grandmother, and even then she was only remisicing about things while telling me and my cousins stories. The only one that ever sticks out in my head was her telling us how they'd write back and forth while he was in the military somewhere."

"Another secret I've been hiding Nami..."
He chuckled, and then put his full hand to his mask grabbing it, and pulling it off gently up off of his head. He then opened his eyes since they were closed, and held his ANBU mask in his hand at his side now.
"Yeah. I'm an ANBU like the ones waiting outside for Mizukage. Though, I'm a Konoha ANBU, under Hokage. In any sense, I am definately an ANBU. Neko had come to recruit me as the Yami Sensei way back, in my first year as an ANBU...Hokage said I should go...so here I am."
That was his answer to both of them. Then he answered Nami's second question.
"The answer to your other questions. I hid that too...I remember you from the Academy especially. Do you remember a boy...who quickly aced his way from Genin to Chuunin, and then to Jounin a couple months later? And only 6 months after...became an instant ANBU? If so...you're looking at that boy. I mean...you should remember me...I was on your team Nami..."
