Siat followed Sunstrike obediently, having to take an extra step every now and then to keep up with the longer stride of his companion. Meanwhile, he started buttoning up his shirt, the slight nakedness a little uncouth consdering they were walking down the street.

"So, where're you buying me dinner?" He figured it was worth trying to slip in.

"I'm ssso sssorry" the prophet hissed mockingly. He muttered a few words of power, and suddenly, about where its "shoulders" would normally be, two more growths formed. In a matter of seconds, they formed full-length necks, and unfolded, quickly becoming another duo of noggins. The snake was now a hydra.

"Better?" hissed the head on the left, before it began to chant. The head on the right moved to strike at Owle with a quick bite, while the center head waited until then to begin to chant itself.

Sun stopped in midstep and was nearly bowled over by Siat.

"Dinner?" Sometimes Sun was oblivious, but he wasn't stupid. Ah well, he could afford it. "What did you want?" It meant rethinking to a few of the nice little food places instead of the bars he'd been thinking of earlier.

He started walking again with a different destination in mind.

"Not reall- Ah!" Owle exclaimed, diving out of the way of the serpent's jaws in the nick of time. A moment before putting her first thought into action, she stopped herself from attempting to cut off its head. Certainly, she knew the traditional method of keeping a head from growing back on a hydra, but who the hell knew if it would work...

No, what she really needed was-

And all of a sudden, a gigantic roll of athletic tape appeared inside the room, hovering in mid air. With a menacing RRRRRRIIIIIIIIPPPPP!, it extended a piece of tape and zoomed toward the mouth of the center head, aiming to tape its mouth shut.

"Well, don't wanna drink on an empty stomach, Sun. Unless you want to get me drunk, that is." He grinned charmingly, his backpack jingling and bouncing as the weights shifted.

"Dunno, I could eat just about anything." He gently grabbed the leaders hand, tugging him to a stop. "And slow down, you have big legs."

The hydra heard the audible noise, and when it went to move towards the center head, the right panicked and abandoned Owle to dart into the way, the tape latching onto the scaley neck instead.

"Protection from cold!" the left said, a faint blue aura glowing about the entire length of the creature shortly.

It was then that the center head breathed out a large cloud of arctic, subzero air out. The cone would probably catch the right head, but it would be centered on catching Owle within its radius as well.

Sun had the grace to look embarrassed about both statements.

"Ah...sorry. We're here though!"

It was a small restaurant, tucked away at the end of a street, with just a sign over the doorway to say what it was. This was a good place to eat around this time of day, and pretty quiet as far as back alley places went.

So in the two went, Sun quickly finding a good table set up against one of the walls.

A large pair of child's scissors appeared, and snipped the end of the athletic tape neatly. Then the tape roll unzipped another part of itself, and went flying after whichever serpentine mouth it could reach first.

Owle, for her part, melted down into that protective ball of scales, falling fast and hard to the ground. The cone nicked one edge of the ball, causing a small growth of ice to form on the surface of those scales.

More tape I need more tape I need more tape...

RIP RIP RIIIP! went the athletic tape.

SNIP SNIP SNIP went the scissors.

And three more large, wide pieces of tape went flying through the air, two toward the left head, and one toward the right. If either of these mouths had gotten tapes already, though, one of the tape pieces flew, with reckless abandon, towards the center.

"Awesome." Siat would've sat down, but instead turned slightly, putting a hand on the table as if to explain something.

"I'm gonna go change in the bathroom, I'll have whatever you have."

He then twisted and marched off, ducking into the bathroom to get changed.

Sunstrike blinked a bit in shock, and was left to his own devises. Technically, he didn't really think Siat would eat the same things that Sun did, so he ordered what he thought the boy would like best, although he was going more by stereotypes then reality. Sun just didn't really eat what constituted as full meals.

So Siat got a full meal and Sun got a large bowl of strawberries. He knew he couldn't stick around all night, eventually he had to get back to his work at the stadium, but for now, he'd enjoy the time out and about.

The snake recoiled, mostly in confusion over the persistant tape and the transformation of Owle. The left head went to cast another spell, but that was quickly cancelled out by the tape covering it. The right provided more cover as it too was taped closed, while the center darted forward, jaws opening and...

Consumed the ball of scales. Its jaw dislocated like how all snakes do, its muscles moving the object into its gullet, if left uninterrupted.

Siat returned maybe four minutes later, backpack dangling from his hand. He certainly looked a little smarter, and certainly more casual. A simple salmon button up shirt with a white undershirt on his upperhalf, noticeably disguising his physique. His legs were covered by comfortable looking grey jeans, and scuffed shoes.

"'zat all you're getting?" He scraped his chair backwards, then made a series of scrapes as he tucked himself in, careful to avoid crushing Sunstrike's feet with the heavy backpack.

Surprisingly enough, it was.

And then, once its mouth was closed, a final piece of tape covering the serpent's mouth up, trapping Owle inside.

Eh...this is NOT what I had in mind...

And the ball of scales was a woman again, a woman trapped in darkness, covered in saliva, with two invisible wings that might have reminded Rain of the razor sharp winds that lived within Tzenidaar's...

Because the invisible wings were exactly that, razor sharp jets of air just waiting to be released. Owle flared them out, cutting into the flesh around her, then spun in a quick circle, hoping for light and freedom.

Sunstrike munched his way, absently, through a fifth strawberry and nodded.

"My way of working is a little odd. I can eat normally, but generally I don't have to eat at all. That makes big meals a little tedious." He grabbed his drink and downed half of it and then set it down again.

"What have you been up to, Siat? Found a girlfriend, yet?" He had to ask, not to be cruel, just for simple curiosities sake, and it opened conversational doors, so long as it didn't piss off his friend.

"Bleh, more like a harem." He dug a fork into the spaghetti and twisted it idly, gathering a large ball on the end of it.

"Girls are much too tedious for me."

He grinned and forced the food into his mouth, chewing all of twice before swallowing happily, knowing that the sentence would make Sunstrike squirm.
