Hay I'm the guy with no bias, I don't care what you guys think and I have no connections with any of the OOC speakers. It looks messy from my point of view of an RPer, I don't want to scroll through profiles to see them broken up by reply to bios. It looks. Newb like.
What if I want to find my character? It not on their.
What I'm trying to point out, are you going to have the time to update it every time we get a new character a new member. Best let them post their own bios.
Have one subforum with a stick up the top explaining it. Have something that I don't know says what this archieve is for and how to post.
Then allow people to post their own bio it will look very professional with no occ rambling evident unless they are comments to the bio but I'll be angry if anyone does that to me.
It will look something like this
sticky:
Bio: a
Bio: b
Bio: c
Bio: d
Bio: e
Now instead of wadding through all those pages of bio or relying on your topic which I've proven is not up to date I just go to the subforum. "Look theirs darth C's bio. "click" "read"
Well the only way to get connections is to keep in touch with us.
smile Some people know each other in reality, but most of us don't.
What exactly are you saying though? Messy as it may be, I keep the links up as to who has been here as well as who still is. The guide of mine is still in development, and I just build off of the profile sticky we had before I made the guide.
The sticky itself is a bit disorganized, but people are still organized as to whose profile is on what page. Including yours.
wink I know you're in favor of the subforum, and this I like. And yes, I am going to have the time regardless of which way this goes, since the plan is to have separate threads for profiles, linking back to a stickied master thread updated by myself and whomever else wants to help. So that in itself doesn't matter. It's what I primarily do here.
smile The idea that I've conceived about this is that the threads, once primarily finished, can be locked to prevent people from posting in them. They can be left open if people want their threads open. Posts can also be deleted from them if the owner doesn't want them there/or the posts are inappropriate.
The sticky at the top will contain much of the information that is needed for new members/older members who haven't quite gotten the idea of how things work. My guide however, is always in need of updating. That is because new people join all the time and I can't be on all the time.
And how per say, have you proven it's not up to date. I've admitted it of my free will, but I have yet to see your postage proving it.
