Yea, I've preetty much picked the Toshiba. Plus, if I were to get the HP I would be ordering it in two weeks then I would have to wait about three more weeks for it to be made and shipped. I kind of need one like right now. The Toshiba is in BestBuy so I'd be able to pick it up that day. And I'll just get a skin from skinit. The one for the Xbox controller fits really well.

I looked right past the HPs when I went to Best Buy looking for a laptop. Not only have I sworn their computers off after that one time, you pay more and get less, because it's a 'name brand' laptop. With Toshiba, it's a better balance between value and performance.

I loved my HP so naturally I went to look for another, but when I saw that the Toshiba had that much more memory for the same price, I was more drawn to that. I found a Gateway, but it was a bit mroe expensive than the Gateway so that was out. I'm just a bit skeptical because I've never had a Toshiba and I don't know how good they are. But a friend told me HP has changed and are making crap now, which does happen a lot so...
I have to rant about this though. My husband has an Asus right now and he says it soooo much better than mine rolleyes I do not like his computer. It cost twice as much as mine and has way too much crap on it. I do not like the thing because it's not what I need. Then we go to BestBuy and he will not shut up about the new Asus they have. While I'm trying to look he just keeps talking about the Asuss. I snapped on him a few times, but he still didn't shut up gonk Then he starts saying, "Hey, what if we do this." So I know what he's going to say. I say, "we're looking for me. I'm the one who needs a computer. You have a perfectly fine computer. Plus, I hate your computer so no, I will not take yours and let you get a new one." He got all stupid and says, "That's not what I was going to say," But yes, yes it was because he said it two seconds later... I don't understand why he thinks that would have been fair. He knows I hate this computer... And I've already been upset when he did something similar with the Xbox controllers... Why must history repeat itself so much...

All of the laptops in the Satellite line by Toshiba feature ASUS motherboards anyways, so why bother wasting money on a high-output laptop when you can spend about $200 less on a desktop of equal or better performance?

He just wants a new Asus... But I don't even think his is two years old. Plus, he wants his old desktop so he can build a new one... So once again, he doesn't need a new computer. I'm the one who needs it for my college for the next year. Then probably college after that...

I don't want one though. And my husband doesn't need a new laptop... I hate how guys are with technology. It's also the media aand companies, but the second there's something "new" they must run out and buy it. Girls are like this, but with other, usually, less expensive things.I don't think I could count all the games he has bought in the past month. It's been over 5, plus he just got a new Nintendo DS

I have an excuse as someone studying for the A+ exam. I'm required by the standards of the A+ certification to stay abreast of new technologies.
That being said, I can't wait until the AMD Bulldozer processors start making their way to stores. My next build is going to have a mobo with an AM3+ processor socket so I can buy one of those new processors. 8 cores...can't wait.

If you're going to be working with computers for the rest of your life, then yea it is understandable. But if it's just a hobby that's gotten out of control, it can wear on more than just your bank account. It's starting to wear me down now... At least he's stopped playing games so much.

It's going to be a livelihood, since there's a likelihood of me having to service some of these newer PCs, especially when rich twats buy them and then want to throw them out because they have a memory error that could be fixed as easily as swapping RAM sticks.
Well, maybe that's not such a bad thing. I could get free computer stuff that way. twisted

Heh... I can't stand kids like that. My brother had to deal with them when he worrked in Las Vegas. He would have kids come in with Mazaradi's that have never had an oil change and the engine was running sludge. They just don't care cause mommy and daddy will buy them a brand new $60k car...

I really liked my HP when i first got it, but it had some issues right out of the box and i had to send it for service before I ever got to use it. Then it seemed fine, other than the service center didn't send everything back to me...
It is really trying hard to go down on me now, it's part of the reason I don't get on much anymore...
On a different note, to let everyone know I'm alive and well...
If I can lose another 2 pounds by tomorrow, I will have lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks! I have joined a gym and am settling into the routine rather quickly, and I am LOVING it! xd
Anyway, that's about it, I'll check back in soon.
