Blaze caught the key, tucking it away in her pocket for later.

Blaze stared in confusion at the lettering over her head. Why did that keep happening?
The type dissappeared into thin air as suddenly as it had appeared, confusing Blaze even more. But she dismissed it, and continued on her way...
Dimentio decided it would better if he just flipped to Creepy Steeple, Myth and Blaze had probably already arrived at the steeple anyway, so it would make no difference whether he flipped there or not. If they weren't there yet, he could always find some obscure corner to ambush them from.
Dimentio reappeared near the large crooked door of the abandoned church, viewing it with odd facination. He suddenly threw open the doors and entered the building...

The place was utterly infested with Boos. Dimentio looked with disdain upon the ghosts, and proceeded to flip away from them, onto a balcony above the main floor. There was no use in wasting precious time battling the Boos, when he could just as easily use that time to find Blaze.
Dimentio took a moment to view his surroundings. The balcony was broken in spots and one could easily see the missing pieces of stone below, even in the dim light. Behind him was an enormous stain glass window, illuminated by the unseen moon. Depicted on the window was what appeared to be a Duplighost, although the ghost's coloration deviated from that of a normal Duplighost. Dimentio's appreciation of the window ended when a Boo decided to try to battle him. Dimentio quickly flipped away from the Boo, to the end of the balcony, beside a small wooden door.
With his survey of the church over, he decided to start searching for Blaze, starting with the wooden door beside him. He decided to open the door and walk inside, ignoring the save block beside the door...

What was behind the door revealed itself to be a staircase, which most probably led to the steeple's abandoned bell tower. Dimentio was totally oblivious to the staircase and decided it would be easier just to float to the top. Once the end of the staircase was reached, he proceeded to fly through an opening which led to the bell tower itself.
The inside of the bell tower was just how a normal bell tower was supposed to look like. Normal bell, normal glass-less windows, which gave a awe-inspiring view of the moon, normal... living room?
A not very tidy living space made up the interior of the room, complete with bathtub, refrigerator, and a TV.

"A pigsty..." Dimentio mumbled, viewing the room with obvious discomfort.

"Hey, hang on, there, Slick! What are you doing interrupting my 'ME' time?"

Dimentio glanced over at the creature who owned the voice. Sitting in a comfy looking chair was the very Duplighost depicted on the stain glass window.

"Oh my, did I do that?" Dimentio chuckled.

"Listen jester boy, get lost! I'm busy thinking up new pranks and stuff!"

Dimentio automatically decided he disliked this Duplighost, although that wasn't saying much. Dimentio disliked everyone.

"Amateur pranks, undoubtedly..." The clown retorted.

"Hey, who're you calling amateur? You know that town over there?" The Duplighost motioned in the direction of Twilight Town,"I turned all the villagers into pigs a while ago. HA! Well, what do you think of that, Slick?"

"Ah, please excuse me, my mistake... Someone of your caliber can only be described as... mediocre."

"Mediocre!?"

"Oh please don't take it as an insult, one can only expect as much from a bed sheet, especially one with such a headache-inducing accent..."

"Bed sheet?! What's your problem? Man, you're just asking for a beating," The Duplighost hopped out of his chair and flew into the air, heading on a collision course straight for Dimentio,"Lets play, Slick!"

Dimentio managed to guard against the attack, quickly making an energy sphere and hurling it at his ghostly foe. The sphere hit it's target, bowling the Duplighost over, smashing him into his chair.

"Yuk yuk yuk!" The Duplighost laughed, repositioning himself upright once again,"I guess I'll get down and dirty if you're gonna play like that, Slick!"

The Duplighost's eyes flashed red, giving him an ominous look. The ghost disappeared in a puff of purple smoke, an effect eerily similar to Mimi's puff of smoke. Dimentio was rather surprised when a glowing green bar of light seemed to scan him, and was even more surprised when an almost exact replica of him appeared from out of the floorboards... Well, almost an exact replica, for this version was solid purple, as if someone had soaked the thing in grape juice...

"How do you like them apples? Now that's MAGIC, people!" The doppelganger boasted, accidentally using Dimentio's catchphrase, much to Dimentio's chagrin.

"Ah, no. It isn't MAGIC. It's... magic! If you want to be a proper double, I suggest you work on that... We wouldn't want you ruining my reputation for theatrics, hmm?" Dimentio chuckled, snapping, causing a box to form around the impostor,"Oh my, look at the time, I must be going. What a shame, too, I had such fun playing with you. We'll have to do this again sometime. Ciao!"

And with a second snap, the box exploded, taking it's captive with it.

Dimentio let loose a satisfied chuckle and exited the bell tower, leaving the shadowy replica sprawled upon the floor...

You guys don't mind me doing this, right? It was just too hard to pass up...))

Dimentio had managed to clumsily fly back to Twilight Town, landing none too gently face down in the dirt. Luckily, he had no major injuries and was able to set himself on his feet again. He then proceeded to trot over to an unfortunate Twilighttowner and began questioning him on the matter of where he had last seen the jester.
Once Dimentio received the information he had been searching for, he walked towards the hotel, also interrogating the hotel manager, except on where he was staying in the building. After he was finished harassing innocent villagers, he climbed the stairs and followed the small hallway until he reached the first candidate for what could be his room, rather unnerved about the prospect of a double bed.
Dimentio opened the door to find a normal hotel room... Inhabited by a Count and a Bunny.

"Oh, sorry. Hey, do either of you guys know where my room is? Uh, I mean... Why'd the chicken cross the road?"

"Yeah, I'm still drunk... Ah ha ha ha ha..." Dimentio chuckled,"So what'd you want to try out on me, the charming magician Dimentio?"

The jester clumsily walked into the room, proving his claim that he was indeed drunk, although it was still rather rare for him to walk, even if he was drunk...

Dimentio stared at Rose's evil smile for a moment, a tinge of fear showing on his face. The jester decided to ponder the question over, perhaps stall for a bit, and, if worse came to worse... He would run for his life.

"Well, I do like burning things, but sharks are pretty fun, too... I'd go with fire, kid," Dimentio nodded.

Dimentio was rather uneasy about Rose sniffing him. He soon backed away from her rather slowly, as if he were nervous

"Oh my, look at the time, I must be off. I had such fun pla- I mean, Ciao and stuff!"

And with that Dimentio was out the door faster than you could say magic.
The clown went on to the next room that could be his, unfortunately, he found this room locked. Hastily, Dimentio fumbled around in his pockets, his attempts fruitless. A sudden revelation came to him as he pulled the key to his room from behind where his ear should be.

"...You are one weird clown, Slick..." Dimentio muttered to himself, and proceeded to unlock the door, slamming it behind him.

This proved to be his room, by the fact that there was a black briefcase filled with spare attire sitting on the bed. Now Dimentio just had to wait...

Dimentio was causally sitting on his bed when he strangely ended up in the room he had just been in.

"What the-"

Dimentio's sentence was cut off when he realized that he was now locked in the room and being interrogated by the rabbit he had just seen.

"Listen, Lady. I really am Dimentio, whether you like it or not. There's really nothing you can do about it," Dimentio smirked,"Well, I guess there is one thing you can do... Guess my name, Slick!"

And with that, a strange, green piece of paper rolled over, complete with every letter in the alphabet... Except for the letter 'P'.
