Untill I see evidence that he is acting in a mature respectable manure, he gets nothign form me. He defended Kaiser. Okay. Suan Hannaty defended Howard Stern. That dosn't change the fact that Howard is an illicite, perverted a** hole.

Christ. Sean Hannity is worse than Howard Stern as far as I'm concerned.

I'd rather a figure who's crude than one who's pompous.

Pyro, that's exactly my point. You are the only one who didn't see it as a metaphor instantly. The fact that you are -still- arguing that you were right, and it's not obvious, proves my point.

As for being an a** to people, I specifically remember a post recently, in which you said something along the lines of, and to a fellow guild member no less, "That may be your opinion, but it flies in the face of the facts." Meaning that you -don't- respect her opinion, you think she's an idiot. And then another that said, "Thank God you aren't running the world and people like you never will be." Gee, sounded like you respected -that- opinion too!

Then there's when you said that my religion's take on homosexuallity is "appauling." Lotsa respect there. And when you spent forever trying to convince us that your opinion is, in fact, the fact of the matter about furries. That was a real respectful round of debating too.

But, as I said, you aren't going to agree with me, you are going to say, "Well that opinion -was- stupid!" And, even if that is taken to be true, it does not excuse you for being rude.

I'm not asking you to excuse TPO, because I know you won't. I just hate hypocracy even more then I hate trolls, (which I don't think TPO is anyways, he's just got a really abrasive personality), and I'd appreciate if you'd stop throwing stones in that glass house of yours.

That's a metaphor, by the way.

P.S. Your comparison of his and Kaiser's relationship to Stern and Hannity's relationship is badly made. I don't believe Stern ever had a reason to defend Hannity, so what the hell are you trying to say?

If Stern had defended Hannity, or you were comparing that relationship to Kaiser defending TPO, then I could understand. But it doesn't make sense the way you stated it.

Also, I've never seen Hannity as pompous. confused Then again, I don't watch much political television anymore.

I was annoyed during the presidential elections, by his constant "X number of days until George Bush becomes president!"

He annoys me, and I don't like him. Too reminiscient of Rush Limbaugh. sweatdrop

I've seen enough of him to not like him.

Of course, I'm sure there are worse. There always are.

I won't argue about the other things he said because I know they were rude, but was this one you quoted really offensive? Was he trying to be offensive? I think the person said she didn't believe the fetus became human until a few weeks after conception, and I think it doesn't line up with the facts, and that it can't be anything but human, it can't be any other animal. It's her opinion and she's entitled to it, but he didn't sound like he thought she was stupid, he was just saying that science says the fetus was a human from conception and for the rest of its life.

Beware the Jabberwock

I explained why it would not have been possible for what I said to be taken literally, and really it wasn't. But you just automatically jumped on "Miranda is insulting me" instead of thinking about things and now it just comes across as you can't admit that you were wrong because it would be admitting that you just jumped to a conclusion without thinking it through.

SOrry miranda sad BUt I did admit I was wrong. Its a metaphore. But, that still dosn't chage the way I took it.

Actually, he didn't say "Since conception," he said, "Since implantation," and those are two different things. Apparently, implantation isn't until two weeks-ish after conception, meaning that he actually was saying the same thing she was.

Considering that, scientifically, it's human as soon as it has a full human DNA set, I had assumed that they were both meaning "person," and, obviously, whether it's a person or not at any given point in time is not scientific fact, it's opinion. The Pro-Choicers say it's not a person until birth, or third trimester, or whatever, but that doesn't mean that they are stupid for thinking that. It's their opinion, and they've got their own personal reasons for it. Just like, I'm sure, Pyro has his reasons for thinking it becomes a person at implantation. Personally, I think it's a person as soon as it is conceived.

But it sounded rude to me.

And darlin', I'd never hurt you. sad

I'm not aruging I was right. And quite frnakly Im annoyed at you assuming that when I have twice now conceded that it was a metaphore. Problem is that doe snot change how I initialy took it

"you jumped to a conclusion wihtout thinkign things through" I wasn't being an a** hole. I was stating a fact. It is human before implantatio/fertalisation. She said human, not person. I personly see it as a person at coneception becaus eof how th elogic plays out. I didn't see it as her meaning person though, she said human and quit ehonosltly I couldn't see any thign in her paragraphs for it to mean person. The secodn one was a joke. Like me not getting the metaphore instently, you didn't get the joke.

The fact is, your catholic with a differing opinoin then with the general catholic opinoin, I oppoligised to you personly, but not catholics in gerneral. SOrry.

WHat about furries? That wasn't my opinoin, it is fact. Its not all about sex as mcphee said how he took it. *GASP* Oh no. Thats how he took it. Even though its not what it was about. Kinda liek how I took Miranda's metaphore as an insult and as a statement of fact when it wasn't, right?

Oh, you missed it. Since your goign to be snide and snerky then so am I. I'm sorry you missed so many points, that you can't see your doing exactly what your tellign me not to. That you arn't getitng things instently and having to have some one explain it to you. I never compared a relation ship. I compared Hannaty, a man who says he supports family, God, and the christian way, supporting STern...a man whos almost the exact opposite by appearence, to Peer's supporting Kaiser. SO sorry you missed that point.

Now, can we end the snerkyness? I've done nothign to deserve it right now, so leave it out.

And guys, that's enough. If you want to argue, that's fine but take it down a notch. There's no need for hostility between guild members, we've already got enough of that from non-guild members.

No, I'm sorry. Honostly, it was about of ignorance and arrogance. You said you were pagan. M impression of pagans (because of the ones I knew at school) beleived much of the old testiment of the bible was true, but didn't happen exactly as written. I though you were one of those. Once you told me you wernt, then th emetaphore became clear and I began defending that it intially didn't sound like one. Again, my oppologies.

Whatever. As I said, I knew you would only argue.

And, personally, I think the fact that we would correct our own is a sign of strength; We aren't so weak that we have to say, "No, everyone on our side is right, we'll all back them up whether they are in the right or not."

Anyways, ha! We don't seem to even have 10 members active anymore. And, while that is sad, it means you will never get 10 votes for my thread! Mwahahaha!

Not to mention that -somebody- voted "pizza." whee
