"Would I have made it in the team if I wasn't?" she asked jokingly. "How're you doing, Mr. Ginji?"

Maddy was sitting on the floor of her room, leaned against her bed. She looked up at the mirror that hung on the wall across the room. From down here, she couldn't see her reflection. She looked down at her left hand. It was bound tightly with gauze, but still her sharp nails had grown through. "I don't get it... Why would I start growing claws? Perhaps the virus is capable of mutation... but I haven't seen any examples of it other than me..."
With a sigh, she forced herself to her feet and looked at her reflection. She touched the mirror to make sure it was really there. There was no way the girl reflected in the glass could be her. The girl gazing at her was awfully pale, almost sick-looking, and her eyes seemed to have no life to them. Maddy casually flicked her bangs from her left eye to reveal the bright purple iris better. She forced herself to look away.
"I wonder if I'm still human..." She hugged her stomach, just standing in the middle of the room and staring at the floor. Suddenly, she began to cough. She held her hand to her mouth until the fit passed, and then noticed the metallic taste of blood in her mouth. She looked at her hand, it had large splotches of blood on it. "Wh-what?" She looked at her reflection.
Two thin lines of blood ran down from the corners of her mouth. She leaned against the wall and just hugged herself. "Cyrus was keeping me alive... But he's gone..." Her mind wandered back to when Ginji destroyed Cyrus' medallion. She felt hate well up inside her, but then the feeling was suddenly calmed by some other feeling, a feeling that hadn't been felt by Maddy for a long time. She just smiled slightly and wiped the blood from her face as she thought of the only person who was keeping her alive now.
"Ginji..."

Ginji sat patiently in the lab as he played with the screens in front of him. It was time to test the vaccine. He quickly looked over the 3D Renderings of the virus molecules and the vaccine ones, everything should go according to plan.

He walked briskly over to a machine with many tubes and a small opening for a Pokeball. The boy reached into his bag and grabbed Blastoise's ball and stuck it in the opening, casing a blinking red light to turn solid green. As the machine started up, Ginji bite his lower lip in anticipation.

What happened next was beyond amazing, the machine started up and did everything it was suppose to do, pumping the vaccine into the Pokeball much like a PokeCenter healing tray healed. In 60 seconds it was over, the ball shot out of the machine and hit Ginji in the forehead.

As it dropped to the floor, it exploded in a furious light, the turtle like Pokemon roared in discomfort as it's Aura was spewing wildly and stronger then ever before, bursting into unknown dimensions and ripping Blastoise apart from the inside. Eventually the nightmare stopped and the blackness surrounding Blastoise was erased completely.

But Blastoise wouldn't wake up.

Ike entered the common room after a busy day.
"Hey." he said to anyone in the room.

"Not too good." he said, scratch the back of his head. It was the worst news he's heard in a while. It was such bad timing, too.

"Cyrus escaped from the Sinnoh Maximum Penitentiary last night." he said.

"I don't know." Ike admitted. "I have no idea how."
He took a minute to remember their circumstances.
"It's impossible. Cyrus's mind isn't whole. True, Maddy and I gave him his knowledge back with that orb... Maddy broke her medallion... so he must of regained his emotions... but I just don't get it. We still have the final piece of his mind here at the HQ. That sword." he sighed. "He's only two-thirds of himself. He had to have help escaping."
