 Roy- In my experiences with passing, its not smart to pass into a weak defense. What good is the boost if you don't get to use it right?

Royal: It's best to Baton Pass stats to whatever Pokemon can survive the blow coming it's way. If the Pokemon is KO'd as soon as the stats are passed... it's a waste of a move and a loss of points.
If you want to be absolutely sure, sash whatever you're passing to.
When using that strategy, it's best to have other options in the party to pass the stats to.
Several Pokemon that resist different types.
