"So what's the plan?" Cody asked. "All I know is we're headed to Mt. Silver to fight Shadow. There is no way in hell I am getting my pokemon infected with stupid Shadow Aids again though." He looked over at Ginji and nodded. "Hey bud," he said and sent out Flygon.

Ike released Noctowl.
"I have a solution for the shadow virus problem." Ike said, not really giving a full game plan. He and Noctowl took to the skies headed for Mt. Silver.





Once at Mt. Silver, he and Noctowl landed on the top of a tall cliff. Ike recalled Noctowl and waited for the rest to arrive. So far the coast was clear.

Aipom hopped on Flygon's back, crawling up to his neck and holding on tightly as Cody climbed on right behind him. "Let's hit it buddy. Mt. Silver!" The trio took to the skies, following Ike closely and landing next to him on the cliff. "I can't have another one of my pokemon become Shadow. It hurts to have even one," he said, recalling Flygon as Aipom hopped off and climbed back onto Cody's shoulders.

As Sammy, Cody, and Ginji all arrived, Ike knew how Cody felt. It's been hard not having Lucario being his normal self.
"I know. So here's the plan. The reason Team Shadow chooses locations like these to fire their cannon at is that there's a lot of Pokemon around. If they get infected, they'll go battle other pokemon and get them infected... so it's like a domino effect." Ike explained. "It'll be tricky, but there's a way to keep all the infected shadow pokemon from spreading the virus."
he said, starting to trek his way up the path following the side of the cliff. "All we have to do is make sure all the shadow pokemon are KOed."

"I think I know what Ike's talking about." Ginji smiled as he returned Noctowl. If he was right they were gong to be battling a little differently today. It was going to be another long battle.

Ike looked over at Sammy.
"Wild pokemon battle each other sometimes. They heal just like any pokemon does from a battle without going to a Center. They just sleep it off. And trust me, not KOing them will only spread the virus quicker. We just need to keep them from battling until we can find out how to cure them all."
Ike stopped, stopping everyone else from going a head. In front of them at a distance in a mountain path were a bunch of Team Shadow grunts trying to capture a bunch of wild pokemon. The grunts were wearing strange, slim goggles.
"I bet those goggles can tell you if a pokemon has the virus or not." Ike said. "Those grunts look new, so they won't have any shadow pokemon. That's probably what they're trying to catch. Looks like they only have two pokemon on them. Everyone go battle a grunt and get a pair of goggles!"
With that, Ike was off to battle him a shadow grunt.

Cody sent out Feraligatr first as the grunt sent out a Jolteon. "I suggest you get lost!" Cody shouted to the grunt. "I've had enough of your shadow crap. Just hit the damn road, ok?" The grunt didn't respond, but instead instructed his Jolteon to start off with Thunder Fang, doing immense amounts of damage to Feraligatr. The pokemon shook it off and started a massive Earthquake, shaking the entire mountainside, also doing an immense amount of damage to the Electric Type. A Thunder KOed Feraligatr and Flygon was sent into battle, attacking with Dragonbreath and KOing Jolteon. Both pokemon were returned and the grunt sent out a Pupitar.

Cody responded with Claydol. The pokemon glowed with a dark purple, suprisingly visible aura and attacked Pupitar with a suprisingly fast Shadow Blitz, doing a great deal of damage to the unexpecting pokemon. The opponent attacked with Payback, almost KOing Claydol. A Shadow Rush put the Pupitar out of business and sent the grunt running for the hills. Cody congratulated Claydol and returned him, the pokeball burning with the same aura.
