Spider looked around, and fiddled with the tiny electronics display.
"Insane? I know. I mean, it helps a lot. You know, like the drugs...."
Laughing to himself, he looked ahead. It was still nice and dark, and just smooth and motionless out of there. He liked it out of there.
"You know, I have been forced to take loads of medicines. basically, They where all counteracting each other, and such. So, I introduced drugs into the equasion.... Turned out, it worked better for me then all of those normal FDA-approved drugs. Plus, I started to notice that my body was acting kind of strange to all these stuffs. "
He shook his head, and tried to remember the circumsatnces.
"Basically, it was just the way it was not supposed to be. Like, I was smoking a blunt, and then I wanted a pipe, to smoke them more efficiently. So, using two straws, some gum, and half a package of tinfoil, I fashioned the first hooka in my life. Well, some pals of mine told me that noone ever had fashioned a tinfoil pipe that worked like a combusition engine, so...."
He grinned, and polished his head absentmindedly.
"So, before the feds busted my crib, I flew out, and became a vigilante drugfiend / doctor of journalism. Did you know that over 90 % of the over the counter drugs in this great nation of ours are designed to enhance memory / intelligence?"
He smiled, and used a yellow stained finger to pull down his eyelid.
"Me neither. But since it works on me, I have something to experiment with. So, basics guaranteed, I mainly work on refining it into a science. "
He turned around, and started the motor.
"Yo, FREEBIRD! Get your a** moving, or we are going to leave ya!"
He turned around, and shook his head.
"See where disrespecting christian folks and mexicans leads to? by the way...."
he turned towards her, and howled the motor.
"Just we get seperated, or something like that.... what kind of book are we looking for?"

Larry scoffed at the pistol-pointing pill-popper and clenched his fists. Now that he was all tooled up, Larry had no fear. Not even mushroom eating, crazed villagers from Hell were immune to bullets. "All right!" he said hopping back on the buggy "Dope fiend, Locke. Let's roll!"

Larry cracked his knuckles and cocked the .45 pistol in his hand. In addition to this, he had several packs buckled onto his legs. They contained extra ammo and a little 'something something' for the villagers to remember him by. Looking back from this point, Larry couldn't believe he didn't find out about this back-up system. It would have made his confrontations with Darya a snap.

But her revenge game could wait for later. For now, Larry simply pointed ahead with anticipation.

Spider sighed. The trees told him that the attackers where out there, with their mojo..... Speedcrazed freaksthat were able to jump ontpo the buggy at any minute. he knew it because it would have been his first choice. As he listened to the whisper of the trees, the slowly increasing pace of his comrades breath, the silence of the land and the light of the stars, he realized their foolishness. It was senseless, it was dangerous, and it was stupid to forget one single bit of ancient lore. How was it going?
"When in rome......"
He put his foot on the brake, and the engine howled. This was custom, the last warnming before he would rain chunky death upon the villagers. His fingers touched the display, and the stereo blared finntroll into the silent woods. Finnish metal.......
As he saw thge first head pop over the hill, he released the howling engine, and steered with all his might. the buggy jumped forewards, and straight past two trees. He heard some shouts from above, and some curses. he knew what they where thinking. How unfortunate. We were just going tro have a stomp with these fellas, and now they are outrunning us in their crazed machine....
Parts of trees whipped against his face, as he steered the buggy straight through the thickwood. They where more, but he was faster.
"When in rome, pillage rape and plunder....."

He swirved and drifted onto a suddenly muddy peace of wood, for a second facing the wrong direction, untill he caught the drift, counteracted, and fought on. Crushing a small shrubbery in the progress, he was contempt as he fell severall feet into a reveen.....
The stones all arouznd him began falling and starting to rumble down. the entire ground was made out of small decent sized buggers, perfect for what he had in mind. here, they would not follow.
After a few seconds, he had the avalanche in full progress. behind him, it seemed like the entire mountain wasd mooving.
"THIS IS WHAT WE CALL RIDING ON FIRE!!!!", he shouted backwards, as the pills kicked in. Or perhaps it where the shrooms. However, his first notice that somethingf was develloping the right way was that the jumping bvoulders next to him suddenly looked a lot like running scottish clansmen, dressed in Kilts and with axes. he grinned, and cursed only slightly as a boulder exploded against a tree, and a thick stick was catapulted only centimeters away from his face, sticking in the buggys side window. It was time. With a flick of the finger, he put energy on the halogen ölights, lighting the situation. A quick look back confirmed his suspicions....
As he rode down, he saw them first. A few nice fellas of the local force, obviously busy sitting around various local fires, and drinking booze. Good boys. A pity they which had most likely been putr on guard duty where forced tosee only a bright li8ght, and some heavy metal, and not the distinct sounds of an approaching avalance.
he unbuckled with one hand, , put a fooit on the steering wheel, and stood up in the cart, removing the thick stick of wood from the hull. he grabbed it, and chucked it in the air like a spear.
"ONWARDS; COMRADES OF NATURE! PURGE THE STINK OF HOW MANKIND HAS INVADED YOU! THIS DAY; YOU WILL RECLAIM WHAT MANKIND TOOK; AND BLOOD WILL FLOW AS REVENGE FOR YOUR LOSSES! ONWARDS! TO VICTORY; A MASSIVE BLOODSHED; AND FOR PONY!!!!"
He realized slowly, as through a thick looking glass, that he was foaming out of his mouth again. The scotts areound him now cheered over the music, and someone was screaming.....
It was not important. His targets had now recognized the sounds, so he threw trhe broken stick into the fleeing masses, felling several of them.
he enjoyed the löook of horror on their faces, before he realized three things.
1. Their present velocity was about 80 mph.
2. They had pretty much charged straight in the middle of town, with an avalanche of little proportions on theiur heels
3. The villagers formed a ramp.
He had a splitsecond to run the calculations. His velocity was right, his demeanor was proper. He grabbed the arm of Locke, put it on the steering wheel, and tucked it. It would pretty much take most of their speed away, as he had calculated. Then, grinning and still foaming, he jumped. He saw how the bigger weight pulled the buggy downwards first, how their surprised faces looked after him. The avalanche had been short and good, like he liked them, taking out most of their defences. The two in the buggy had been belted, and since the buggy was sturdy, and kind of nice, it would not flip over.
What worried him more was the fact that he was flying straight for a second story window of something called "yoor olde booke store". he grinbned, and rolled himself instinctively into a ball. He would need loads of gauze after that mission was over......
Then he crashed.

The dragon girl, Ruki, was confused as to why she was receiving no answer. Sure, the commander did have other duties, but she was pretty much always available when needed. With a bit of a frown, Ruki decided she should perhaps knock a little louder, and did so, calling out, "Commander? Commander, are you there?"

((Everything got patched up. I will be on regularly now.))

Ace reached the clock tower and gazed up at it. It was in a desperately needed repairs. That is what it looked like on the outside. Ace walked into the the tower and on the inside it was apparent. That building was a time bomb. Not literally a bomb set to a timer or clock, but in a sense that it is very structurally unsound and will fall soon.

"First, I need to search this building. Secondly, I should stop talking to myself. Third, I should get the hell out of here.
Ace conducted a quick search. He didn't find anyone or anything so he left.

"Where did everyone go?"

Once again, the android was in the garage.
Several big rigs pulling flat beds covered in tarps. Pulled in the garage and parked. Then they unhitched their load and went away. Another big rig, and another. Seven total.
"Current item on to-do list. Assemble new mecha model. Wait a minute, how could he have added this to the to-do list if Sokato isn't around to do it. He doesn't even know that the last one was wrecked.

Mt. Everest, Nepal

Somewhere in the foothills of the Himalayas, a small village nestled up against the mountains. The village was simple mud and concrete, concerned more with the snow beginning to fall than with than with the outside world. This location had been chosen to take advantage of the way the cliff blocked the wind. It wasn't an incredibly tall cliff, but it was high enough that falling from the top would involve a great deal of painful bouncing before the one falling met with a merciful broken neck somewhere near the bottom. Up on top of the cliff sat the temple; at the bottom, the Jeep pulled to a stop.

Inside, Joel turned off the engine. "This is where we split up." Nothing more needed to be said. Outai and Shadow would take on an army at the bottom; Riku and Joel would steal a sword at the top. Joel climbed out of the Jeep, dragged a green bag out of the trunk and began looking for a way to haul his sack of weapons up the cliff.

Outside Ryanna Rindell's office, MMHQ

Clink.
Clink.
Ting.
Clank.

A round woman wearing brown overalls rattled her way down the hall. The rattling came from pliers, wrenches, hammers, sets of screwdrivers, bottles of glue, rolls of duct tape, a toothbrush, a katana, a flashlight, earmuffs, rubber hose, an extension cord - she carried over a hundred pounds of tools on her person, all of it rattling to make a musical jingle everywhere she walked.

Only the bare necessities for the important work of portal maintenance.

She was not repairing the portal generator just then, nor was she anywhere close to the portal room. Jen had another project today. Approaching Commander Ryanna's office door, Jen found someone waiting there already. The green-haired stranger looked as if she expected someone to answer. "If you're looking for Ryanna, she's not in there," Jen said. "She left a month ago on personal business."

Having educated the stranger, Jen went on with what she was doing. She reached into one pocket and drew out a pair of safety glasses, which she pulled over her curly brown hair and equally brown eyes. From another pocket she pulled a Bernz-O-Matic pocket butane torch. Bending over, she carefully aimed the nozzle into the keyhole. A small jet of flame shot out of the nozzle.

Oddly, the flame bounced harmlessly off of the door.

The young dragon's attention was caught by the sound of metal bumping against metal and somewhat heavy steps headed her way. She watched curiously, but was caught off guard when informed of Ryanna's absence. "The commander is out?" Taking a moment to contemplate this while the strange woman worked, she decided there was one question that was the most important to ask next. "Who was left in charge, then?" she asked, simply. Like this woman, Ruki felt she had a mission to complete.

((well, I WAS going to fly in, but I'll modify it))

LOCATION: Base of Mt. Everest, Nepal
village below the temple

Riku climbed out of the Jeep and stared up the side of the cliff. Mt. Everest seemed to go on forever, disappearing into the clouds. The cliff he was looking at was almost three hundred feet straight up, and he and Joel had to scale it in about two hours, before Kavinsky's forces got there.

Riku leveled Angra at a location high up on the cliff, and pulled the trigger. The blade shot away from him, it's lead chain following. It struck the side of the cliff- and bounced away. The launch mechanism didn't have enough power to penetrate the side.

"Well, that won't work," Riku said as the blade retracted. He turned to Joel and grinned. "Now you know why I wanted to bring the Osprey?" He scanned the cliff side, looking for any crevasse, any little nook that could be used to climb up. There weren't any. He was beginning to get frustrated. They had come all this way, only to be stopped just short of their goal.

"Okay, plan B," Riku said, and picked up a bag of climbing gear, reaching in to pull out what looked like a giant nailgun. It basically WAS a nailgun, except that instead of nails, it fired climbing hooks. He strapped this to his side, grabbed several magazines for it and a rope, and slung them over his body. He then pulled out his other katar, and with a loud yell, slammed them into the rock face with his full strength. They penetrated and stuck. He smiled, and looked to Joel. "I'll go up first, and use the gun to plant the hooks, then load the rope. You follow me when I get about fifty feet up." He then began climbing, using his blades like climbing tools. It was a long way up. He had to get up there fast.

LOCATION: Himalayas, China
Uroboros convoy en route to mountain temple

The MI-8 flew along, it's passengers getting anxious. The tension was so thick, you could slice it with a knife. Yumiko almost considered doing so with her blade. It would probably ease her nerves a bit.

"We should arrive at the temple in approximately two hours," the pilot shouted back. "Sorry it's taking so long, but this weather is taking it's toll on the rotors. Any higher or faster, and we'll stall."

"Just keep us on course, comrade," Joseph replied from the back. He sat down next to the clones, and looked to the back, where Vasily was putting his finishing touches on the American Gatling cannon he would be using.

"Let's get this over with already. I'm out of vodka," he said impatiently. Yumiko smiled slightly, and leaned back. Soon it would be all over. They would have the Blade, and no one would be able to stop them. Yet why did she still feel uneasy?

Korie had quickly secured herself to the limited space in the back, actually hanging onto the metal beams attached to the backside. The only weapon she really grabbed was the smallest pistol she could get. And it was still pretty big. "I hate guns," she groaned as she heard the satisfied clack when she cocked it. She put it onto her belt and before she put herself back into place the buggy was already shooting into hyperspeed. There wasn't even time for her to scream.

Korie's eyes slammed shut against the fierce wind slapping against her face, her hair fluttering wildly around her face. She heard more random gibberish from the crazed maniac driving the buggy but didn't pay attention to the words. It was so quick; screams, metal, cracks, explosions, just sounds of chaos. And then when she did open her eyes, she saw a wall of villagers and she was jerked forward forcefully and her arm bent around the steering wheel. Wait, she was on the steering wheel!

"CRAP!!!" she screamed in panic when she finally noticed that she was in the driver's seat(sorta) and that psycho was hurtling into the bookstore. Sure, their speed had decreased significantly, but they were still skidding towards the armed townsfolk.

Acting quickly, Korie pulled her legs up and flipped so that her feet were on the floor of the buggy. She slammed her foot on the brake and turned the steering wheel rapidly so that the buggy screeched in protest and the buggy tipped on its side, close to flipping. But they stopped. Then hell erupts.

The townsfolk, now aiming for her and Larry after the drug fiend had escaped their grasp, looked more menacing than ever. "Gah!" Korie immediately stepped on the gas again as the villagers swarmed the vehicle. She didn't think, she just rammed over a number of villagers in her haste and a blur of color surrounded her. And then another crash followed the first as the buggy slammed into the wall of the bookstore. She was never good at stopping; she didn't even know how to drive. Hell, she never even got her driver's license.

"Downloading blueprints.... Blueprints downloaded. Accessing file."

The android starting unpacking. Many, many parts small and large. In every shape in size. Every whistle and bell. It also came shipped with the tools for the job. Many, many power tools of all shapes and sizes.

And so, the android started the assembly...

heart You found my heart and rebuilt it from dust... heart

Outai climbed out of the Jeep, well knowing that she and Shadow would stay behind to fight off any reinforcements that the enemy would send their way. They were next to a very tall cliff, one that would likely cause serious injury, and most certainly death.
"It seems little, if anything, has changed since our last venture here, Mooney."
"Yeah, well, in places like this, things rarely do."
"Very true. It's refreshing, really. That means we don't have to re-learn the topography."
However, she also knew that getting up that cliff would not be easy, and would require a lot of much needed energy to climb it. She saw Riku try and fail before breaking out his climbing gear.
"You know, there is an easier way up this cliff." Outai said, still as giddy as a school girl, "Why climb when you've got wings? I can get you guys up there, but I can only carry one at a time."
heart ...and now let me return the favor for you. heart

Shadow and Guardiana got out of the jeep. Shadow then reached up to take the gear from off the top of the jeep. They were too big to fit inside the jeep with the passengers. He almost had to have Guardiana follow and meet them here.

He took a quick, yet thorough look at their surroundings. He smirked a little when he looked up the cliff and saw their leader struggle momentarily with it. He then silently focused on the task at hand. He had to find a good place to set up for the initial attack from their foes. He would let the others worry about getting up that cliff. It was clear to him that his task was to make it so no one would follow.

He put the great axe back on his back, then looked for a place to set his Gatling gun. He did a meditative view of the area to get an idea of what the battle could look like. He saw there was only one way in to the area, the same way they came in, from ground level. They could come in by air, but he felt that there was little he would be able to do about that from here. He could take the plane down with the gun if he had to, but that wouldn't guarantee that none would be able to catch the cliff by jumping from the falling craft. He saw a funnel effect would probably happen, based on the layout of the trees and shrubs. A funnel effect was a good thing cause it meant he could get off to a good start with the gun. He could mow down a majority of the first wave easily, but after that it would change. The trees would also be taken from the picture after the first wave, or the enemy would use the trees for cover more and better.

He set up the gun on its turret and did a dry fire test of it. He then headed to the vehicle to move it further to the side. He didn't want it to blow up behind them. Hmmm. Maybe I could put it on the other side of the battle field. Use it for target practice and blow some foes up with it. Perhaps I shouldn't. The others wouldn't be very pleased if i blew up the mode of transport with little reason. He parked it much further off to the side and returned.

During all of Shadow's prep, Guardiana calmly paced around and followed him. She then decided to wait in a tree and jumped into a tree between the turret and the cliff.

Spider hickupped. as hbe rolled himself into a ball and flew through the window. His entire body was aching, and he felt the sting of shards of glass that pierced through his forehead's skin. Flying through a window was not good.
He realized something was wrong when he felt the distinct taste of olives. It was soft and fuzzy. He opened his eyes, blinking a few times, and enjoyed the fuzzy sensation. He loved the feeling.
His first vision was the one of an old wrinkled guy, with a classic sleeping attire and sleeping hat. It was solid golden feelings. The geezer moved his mouth, trying to form words.
With an universal feeling of empathy, he was able to see why and how. It was difficult to find nice words for somebody who had just invided the privacy of his sleeping room through the window. He felt a sting in the rigfht side, and knew what to do. He reached over, grinning like a madman,. and kissed the guy right on the lips.
Suddenly, he knew what was wrong. His left side..... He felt the familliar sting getting stronger.......His heartbeat was increasing....
A millisecond after that geezer screamed in terror, He joined him. He felt it too. The artificial adrenaline. In his left jacket-pocket. It was ment to.....
Still screaming, he opened up his suit, and checked with one smooth grip. Six full syringes. One was enough to get someone literally out of braindeath. six were...... excessive.
he looked around, and found how his personal time slowed down. No. No it could not happen as that. Even he had just been able to do for max......
he jumped up, and kicked the geezer between the legs.
He stumbled a bit, but was able to get it over. It was great, it was empowering.... he stumbled a bit, then got his s**t together, and ran into the door. It was just.... wrong.
The door was a bit too hard, but it did give away like thinderwood. he stumbled through the doorframe, and started runni8ng. Thin, rectangular doorway, a stairway downwards, lots of stacks of books.........
he faintly noticed how he was screaming all the way, with an added bonus of sweating like wild. Also, he had somehow lost his pants, and ran around with a massive erection.
But that was unimportent as he crashed through the display window, out into the night, and in the first villager. A heavy muscular dude, with lots to loose, and a mean look on his face. he simply felt it. No pain. All like a rosy pillow of wool, gently pressed over his senses till he would suffocate. he had to process the adrenaline.
He dropped down on his knee, lunged forewards, and bit....It was a strange sensation, amplified by the guy beating on his head, andf screaming like a pig.
he jerked his head back, and listened to a ripping sensation of warm blood flowing down his face, and the guy sinking to his knees. Something was in his mouth......
he stood up, and watched the horrified group of bystanders, who seemed to be frozen in time. he caugh a glimpse of his comrades, staring at him weith a mixture of horror and wet pants.
he spit the offending organ out, and grinned. he felt the adrenaline empty out.
As it landed on some villagers face, he screamed, lunged forewards, and jumped for the next villagers neck, sinking his teeth deeply into the shoulöder muscle. This was what he allways wanted. fear, horror and Loathing. He hoped his comrades could keep up. Theree where at least enough for everybody.

((Sorry for the delay Sotako .__. ))

Sergei had watched the man from across the courtyard. He was a strong guy, no doubt about that, he mused, as he moved stones so big they could, with all seriousness, be called small boulders. Sergei got the distinct feeling that the stranger was looking for him. Watching him turn away to leave, Sergei waited until he got closer and closer, and then made his move.

Rushing out of the alley he was in, he grabbed the mans shoulder, kicked out one of his legs and slammed him into a wall. No easy feat however, he seemed to be out of practice, and the mans shoulder was like steel.

"I believe you're looking for me? First, three things I'd like you to answer: Who are you, why are you looking for me, and where the hell am I?", he growled.

'A clumsy approach for sure, but I seemed to have taken him by surprise.'

I'm doing it for Him.
Please, by the cross, protect me

Ko quickly noticed that her process of actually getting to the door of the freaking building was taking a lot longer the she had expected, as she had stopped altogether. Why? She had no idea, as if some sort of invisible string was being pulled, and she wasn't fighting against it. Of course, it was because Makoto was pulling her back, a large flying thing came to view, and suddenly it dropped right in front of the door, how convenient for it. Slowly it began to melt and shrink into the form of a girl and she entered the building without haste. Makoto finally let go and she stumbled to the floor, looking up and almost glaring at him. However, her attention turned back towards the building, she quickly got to her feet and ran towards it, her ghost friend following closely behind. Now what? She neared the opening in the castle like headquarters, catching the door before it closed with her foot.

Peaking inside she had no idea where to go except for to follow the girl from before. She pressed her back against the wall, she never really trusted anything in the beginning, and creped along, taking care to keep hidden within the dimmest lighted parts, no real shadows were around. She walked to, from what she had heard, would be the commanders office, where she met heavily equipped person, who seemed to be doing work on a door. How interesting.
