Do you understand your character's limits? Do you have a clear idea of how you want to use him in a fight, like a select fighting style? Have you ever fought with him? Are you capable of being descriptive, and creative when attacking? Are you willing to be hacked to shreds in order to achieve success?
This all is half the battle. The other half is outwitting, or overpowering the beast I'll be playing... And slaying it.
