"Seems a bit backwards, but whatever works I guess." Van said, taking her back to the luxurious library that, like many other rooms in big fancy houses, was only there to fill space really, to plan their big day. Since it seemed more sensible than standing in the hallway the entire time.

Jez made annoyed noises, pouting at her daddy. Then she made a happy noise as her mommy appeared, holding another bird, trying to flap its way out of her grip. Jez grabbed the bird, twisted its neck, and then pulled its head off in her mouth, spitting that onto the ground because it was icky. She upturned the bird, so the blood drained right into her mouth.
"I've been drinking for a century and this still unnerves me a little," Angel said quietly as her daughter fed. "Still, it's good that she's drinking."

"Well once she grows up, she won't have to behead things to feed." Riley said with a chuckle. Strange how quickly he'd adapted to things like this.

"Well, I want to know how long I'll be waiting to try your big bed out. If the wedding is too far from now, I want to see it now. If it's closer, I suppose I can wait." Mala explained her reasoning with a shrug.

Jezzy made happy noises and fell asleep, cuddling the bird close to her chest.
Angel sighed, looking at her adorable daughter. "She doesn't need to behead. She's just killing animals for practice. I was the same... when you're born, you have to get used to the feel of something going down your throat, especially blood."

"Well, let's see how long it takes to organize a wedding..." Van said in thought. "We don't have that many people to invite, we can have it here, and I'm sure I can talk one of the godesses around here to pretty you up. Hell, we could probably have it in a few days at the earliest if you wanted." he said with a bright smile.
"I didn't realize there was such difference between made vampires and naturally born ones." Riley said softly as he watched Jez sleep in his arms.

Mala kissed Van on the cheek, her smile widening once more. "I'm relieved to hear that I'm not alone. We'll get over it, though. Especially when we get to be together like we do and look gorgeous whole doing it!" she added in half-jokingly.

Angel paused. "Well... then I should probably send someone to clean up the manor." There were corpses strewn all about, she knew. Some torn in half, some beheaded, some completely dismembered.

"If you want. Lord knows when Mala and Van will be ready to visit though. They're probably busy with wedding plans." Riley said, gently rocking Jez in his arms as she slept.
