Welcome everyone to Fright Week 2k10!
Fright Week is going to be a little different this year.
As you may know, Professor Aurora was sacked as Astronomy Teacher.
If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you haven't read the November Issue of the Hogwarts Monthly.
Hopefully, this won't put a damper on any of our Halloween Celebrations.
On another note, we have a lot going on this Halloween; Trick or Treating, an Avatar Contest, as well as... *sigh* I asked them to not do this, however they seem to have minds of their own, as they should if you think about it.*sigh* - A sort of guessing game.

This Fright Week may be different than Fright Weeks of the past (who wants to do the same thing over and over, anyway!).
As you participate in all of the other festivities, don't forget to stay here (in the Great Hall) and chat with your fellow guild members!
Also, I want to apologize for having Fright Week begin so late. But, as you all know, I'm dealing with a great shock. The good news is that Fright Week will NOT end November 12 (as posted in the Calendar). Fright Week 2k10 will end no sooner than November 19!

Lyra wanders into the Great Hall. She picks up a glass of juice and sips it, before realizing there is nobody else in the room. Turning, Lyra leaves the Great Hall, glass still in hand, to go have a look at the contests while she waits for more people to arrive.

Endria enters the great hall to find it empty,she hadn't realized it was too early,she sits down anyways and waits for other students .

Crystal happily comes in and takes a seat. She wolfs down a slice of apple pie and half runs out the door, eager to see what else was happening.

Elisa comes to the Great Hall and see it's almost empty. She sees Endria and decides do go and say hello. "Hi, Endria! Nice costume!"

 Professor Moonshade walks in to the Great Hall looking clearly tired, but definitely in the Halloween spirit. Her normally blonde hair is black and her eyes are an interesting shade of orange. The cloak she wears is disheveled, torn, and adorned with chains. But it's the candy corn hat upon her head that says it all. Not wanting to sit down at the moment, she walks around taking to people every once in a while.

Crystal returns, skipping along the way. She sits down and begins loading her plate with festive sweets, mumbling numbers with every piece "25...50...75...100...125...150..." she pauses and puts the last piece back. "125."

Lyra returns to the Great Hall, happy to see there are now a few more people. Putting down her empty glass, she picks up a sweet, unwraps it, and pops it in her mouth.
Lyra hears Crystal counting but cannot make sense of the numbers."Crystal, why are you counting by 25?"

"Hmm? Oh. It's..it's a diet thing. 25 points for every sweet, every 50 points is 1 sickle I have to put in a jar. And I'm not supposed to take any of it out until the diet is over."
