"Frick!" Her shoulder hit the pavement as Nathan got her out of the way of the fireball. "Thanks, man," she gave him a grin while getting into a crouch. "But you're gonna need to help me out a bit more. Hold on to my neck, I'll give you a piggy back ride to your car." As Nathan complied, she felt a strain on her body. "And once we get to your car, you're giving me the keys. Like hell if you're gonna be driving with those feet."

"Right, I just want to be in the car before I shoot off the flare," he told her, clambering up on her back, somewhere wondering if "clambering up on her" was too suggestive to describe anything ever.

Anatoly sprinted after them.
"You guys have the right idea," he declared. He halted, looked back at Blaine, and cursed. "You bastards better wait for me, I'm grabbing Blaine," he snapped, sprinting back, dodging Rose attacks as best he could.

Rufus, Wilde, and Farley, worn out, still gave their best effort to protect Anatoly as he grabbed the fallen Blaine.
Farley went spinning away with a cry, his chest smoking. Rufus grabbed him and whistled for Wilde.
"You go!" Rufus said to Anatoly. "You and the rookies get out of here. Kitt is waiting by the car. We'll find a way out of here!"

Blaine scrambled to his feet as Anatoly approached, "I'm fine." he said, "Let's just go!"

Sarah was struggling with Nathan's weight, but she wasn't planning on saying anything about it. She wasn't a pansy; she could take a bit of strain. While she waited for Blaine and Anatoly to catch up, she noticed something was odd about one of the Roses. What the hell, I might as well give it a shot.
"Hey! The four idiots that are trying to kill us!" She felt Nathan try to choke her to shut her up, but she bit his arm and continued to talk. Once she got their attention, she spoke again. "I don't know who you are or what you do, but you really don't have to do this. I can tell that one of you is a little different...maybe undecided. Maybe confused, hell if I know. What I DO know is that everyone has a choice." She waited nervously, hoping that she wasn't pulling off a very very very stupid move. "And you can choose to come with us. Okay, maybe not with me because I've no idea what's going on, but with these guys! I mean, they saved someone they didn't know...and if these guys don't accept you, then you know, I will. 'Cause everybody deserves a second chance." Let's just hope this second chance won't bite me in the a**.

The Four Roses looked at her as they made their way to the car. Then, as one, three of the Roses threw their hands up and a wave of nasty death, like the one fired at Anatoly minutes ago, flew at them.
The fourth, however, did not join in. Sarah caught his eye, and the second she looked at him seemed much longer. She memorized his face before being thrust in the car and driven off, barely escaping death.

Zane picked himself off of the ground and watched the car drive away. Great, thought Zane, I missed the escape vehicle. I'm not sure if I could have taken it and left people here to die, though, so perhaps this is better. Zane moved closer to Rufus, deciding that it would be better to be by someone than to not be, as it was four versus three now, if he counted right. Having noticed the one Rose's reaction to Sarah, Zane decided to try and reason with him, too. One last attempt couldn't hurt. "You're in there somewhere, aren't you? Deep down inside, there's still a person in you. Whoever you were before they did whatever they did to you. If you succeed with your mission, they're going to kill you, and that person will be gone. His hopes and dreams will mean nothing. He'll be dead. There's no coming back from that. You can, however, bring him back from where he is now. If you don't come back now, the others have probably noticed your reactions. I doubt that they'll let it go unreported."
((Here's me hoping that he meant two of his posts. Also, I feel like an idiot. I was in a hurry yesterday, and I typed out a post and I thought that I hit submit, but I must have hit preview instead, and then I had to go, so I left without realizing that I hadn't actually posted.))

The Rose looked at Zane strangely, twitched a bit. He raised an arm, let it drop. His mouth worked but no words came out.
"Indigo...Rose," he choked out, though he seemed to be struggling.

"Where to now?" Anatoly asked quietly, staring out the back, sweaty palms pressed to the window as he stared after those whom he fully believed had sacrificed their lives to save them. Overcome by his frustration, his powerlessness, his inability to make a difference, tears began to fall down his face, tracing silent paths down the sweaty skin. "What the ******** do we do?"

Nathan fainted - it was the logical thing for a man with shattered feet to do. He collapsed onto Sarah, his eyes rolling back briefly before his eyelids closed.

So now Sarah had a guy. On her. Collapsed. "Uhh...right." If she were a girly girl, she'd have blushed and worried over him. However, she was not typical. "I'd push you off of me, but you helped me out. So...fine," she told the unconscious man. She looked at the people in the car, studying their faces. "So yeah. Who the hell are you and what the hell is going on?"

Blaine was breathing heavily, sweat dripped from his brow. All he could do was stare at his hands. How the ******** had he gotten himself into this? Why the he'll hadn't he just gone on his own way rather than follow that damned Osiris. ********! This was just way too much for Blaine.
He was shaking violently and now sweating even more. His breathing was rapid and shallow. He was too out of it to hear Anatoly. Too out of it to even realize how dirty he was, too out of it to realize the extent of his injuries. His head was banging, his eyes stared into nothingness.

"Blazer Black. Guardians. Two sides of the same coin in a way," Anatoly rambled. He wiped his eyes on his shirt sleeve as he realized the presence of the tears on his face. "Blaine. ********, Blaine. We were right. These must've been the guys playing us against each other."

Blaine only faintly heard Anatoly's voice. He shook his head slowly, his pink eyes never leaving his hands. He's had enough of people betraying eachother, he's had enough of all this behind the scenes bullshit, he's had enough of being a pawn, it's just too much.
"This...this is bullshit..." Blaine choked out, his voice quiet.
