"Thank you. Is a Marshtomp what Star evolves into?" She watched the Kirlia, and clapped along with Riza, giggling again. "Wow you're very graceful Kirlia. I also have a Mankey, and this little egg here, but no way am I going to release Miles. Are you guys here to look, or you guys going to commission some pokemon?" she asked, trying to sound like she knew exactly what she was talking about. "Hm...Sinnoh? That's the new region right? When are you going there?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 09, 2009 6:41 pm

"A root beer... sure..." Keegan murmured, shaking his head at Riza's comment before he made his way through the crowd towards the mini bar, glancing over his shoulder at his raven-haired 'date' for the evening. A slight smirk spread across his face as the thought crossed his mind, and he was a little glad that Riza seemed to be distracted by Serenity and Sam for the time being. The girls now appeared to be showing off their Pokemon and he couldn't help but chuckle lightly. He reached the bar and he quickly scanned the list of drinks they had on hand though he quickly came to realize that this was the 'dry' bar. "Figures," he muttered, catching sight of the Marshtomp out of the corner of his eye. Funny, that Marshtomp looks just like Leviathan, he thought idly, reaching out to tap the server's shoulder, as she seemed to be busy. "Excuse me, Miss... Rachael," he said, attempting to be polite for once as he read her nametag, "can I get two root beer, please?" She looks a little nervous... and kind of familiar... though she is kinda cute... he thought, though for some reason he felt his heart rate pick up slightly. Odd... he mused, taking a closer look at the girl. If I didn't know any better I'd have to say she looks just like... He squinted hard, a shooting pain stabbing right through his heart. "...Kasiya?"
=====
Miharu only nodded at Tyra's curt reply, and when Sparkle gave a sleepy yawn she returned the Flaaffy to her Pokeball and clicked it back onto her belt. "Me? I'm heading to Olivine City," the small girl answered. "I'm heading across the sea to Cianwood City. From my understanding, it is where my next gym challenge awaits." She bent down and unzipped her backpack, withdrawing a slender, rectangular shaped box. She opened it and held it out for Tyra to see. "I'm halfway there," she said, quite proud of her efforts. In all honesty, though, in the beginning she never thought she'd get this far. She could still remember that battle with Falkner quite clearly, though the more she thought about it the more she was sure that he'd let her win at the end. Out of pity, perhaps? No, there was no way a gym leader would act as such. She snapped out of her reverie and looked back up to Tyra. "Though I plan to get a lot of training in between now and then," she added.

Sere giggled as Kirlia started to dance on the table. She suddenly felt very sad. She had left all three of her pokemon at home. She hadn't realized that pokemon would be here. Serenity realized that if she had George with her, she probably wouldn't feel so scared. "Yes a Marshtomp is what Star will evolve into. I'm sure she'll be amazing then too."

Serenity had actually no idea what on earth she was doing here. Other than the fact that her sister had made her come. Though now that she was here she wondered what exactly it would take to have an egg commissioned. "My sister got tickets. She has been looking into being a breeder for quite a while now. Thought, now that I'm here I think that I may have an egg commissioned."

She paused for a moment. "The boat leaves tomorrow for Sinnoh." For some reason she couldn't bring herself to feel as happy about it as she had just days ago.

Star watched the Marshtomp at the bar. She would evolve into that? It had just the worst shade of blue, and oh those arms! Tragedy! She growled. Sam noticed, and hastily recalled her. "Sorry about her. Apparently she doesn't like the idea of becoming a Marshtomp. So your sister wants to become a breeder huh? That sounds nice. I come from a land where you were a fisherman. Or a sailor. What egg would you have comissioned?" She shut up for a second, aware she was suddenly talking alot. She could be talkative around people she knew, and it became worse if something piqued her curiosity. Sam listened to Serenity's rather short comment about the boat to Sinnoh, and detected a note of...bitterness? Sadness? She wasn't sure. "Hm...I don't think I'll be going to Sinnoh then. I was planning on heading to Johto actually, to go home for a little while, and find my friend."

"You're from Johto?" Riza piped up, watching as Kirlia moved a chair closer to them by means of a confusion attack, and then promptly sat down in it. "So am I," Riza went on, trying not to get distracted by her Pokemon's antics, and she silently wondered what had happened to Keegan. "Keegan said his parents were breeders," she went on. "I was thinking of getting him to introduce me to them so I could ask them if they could either get me a Cyndaquil egg or if they know where I could find one. I think it's time my little family of Pokemon grew a little bit." Her last statement surprised her, as only a few weeks ago, before she'd got Sneasel, she didn't even care for Pokemon all that much. 'Funny how things change,' she thought, patting Kirlia on the head.

The Zigzagoon didn't get up. At all. There wasn't even a visible effort at moving coming from the small, raccoon-like Pokèmon. Leon recalled Muuma into her PokèBall, muttering a small, "Good job." but thoroughly annoyed at this simple feat. He knew he hadn't needed to go back this far, but his parents had insisted… Oh well. There was nothing he could do about it now, so he just continued to walk.

He could already see Oldale in the distance. It wasn’t really all that far from Littleroot, thank god. He wanted to get to a road where the Pokèmon might actually be a bit of challenge for Muuma. Speaking of weak Pokèmon, another Zigzagoon jumped out bravely in front of him, having taken out Pokemon the last couple of times he’d been encountered. So, this little Pokèmon was quite confident with itself at the moment. Little did it know, however, that the Misdreavus that Leon was releasing from its Pokèball once again was actually a much higher level than it, and soon it was lying flat on its back after taking the full hit from a Psywave.

After that, Leon just kept Muuma out of her Pokèball, not feeling like constantly recalling and releasing her, so he just let her float along beside him as they headed to Oldale. They arrived shortly thereafter, and Leon paused to look around at the small town. There were a few houses scattered about, a PokèCenter, and a PokèMart, but that was really all the town had room for without having to squish everything together. It was…quaint, he’d give it that. He didn’t really bother stopping at the Center or even the Mart, as he was sure Muuma could make it to Petalburgh without much difficulty, seeing as how she had demolished the Pokèmon on the way to Oldale without taking any damage whatsoever.

Isabelle was out side of Jubilife before she figured out exactly where she wanted to go from here. She had been given the offer to go to one of the other regions, but the thought of actually doing something helpful, more so than she had already done in recent days just didn't sit well with her. Her body still hurt from jumping into that fight with Tyra a few days back. As did her ankle from the day before that. "I really didn't expect to be getting into trouble so soon." She said to the Charmander that was at her side.

Euridice seemed to agree. She had hopped that this would have been a time for her and her trainer to get stronger and get some badges under them. She had not thought that they would be running to the rescue of everyone else.

On the other side of Isabelle was the small plant that was Budew. Euri sighed. She didn't really have anything against the plant, but she missed Frank. Earlier in the day Euri and Frank had gone and gotten themselves into trouble, which wasn't unlike them, but Isabelle had, had enough. Besides she had stated that she wanted to get to know Sweetness a bit more.

"You do realize I can actually hear you sighing from all the way up here." Isabelle said to the fire lizzard. "You may not like sweetness right now, but sooner or later the two of you are going to have to get used to working together."

Isabelle looked down at both pokemon. Sure enough Euri was sulking. Sweetness however looked a bit smug. Isabelle caught the budew sneaking looks over to Euri as though to make sure the Charmander stayed on her own side of the trail.

The Acid attack hit the wild Spearow dead on, and the Pokèmon fell backwards into a heap. Surprisingly enough, though, the Spearow forced itself upright, trying to shake off the attack and began running forward weakly to try and hit Oddish with a Peck. Oddish reflexively tried to dodge, but was hit by the attack. It didn't do much but knock her over, and soon she was back on her feet, though shaking a bit out of fear from being hit.

"You're doing great, Oddish!" Train called to her timid little Pokèmon. She admired the drive in the Spearow, though, so she fished out one of her few remaining Pokèballs and tossed it at the Spearow. Unfortunatly, she threw it a little harder than intended, and as the bird squawked and dove out of the way, the ball kept going and hit a passing Ratata, which squeaked as the ball hit it. It was engulfed in the red light and the PokèBall soon lay wriggling on the ground. "Oh, crap!" Train cried as she watched the ball do what it did, and let out a, "No! Craap!" as she watched the ball stop moving and heard the usually satisfying "click" as the ball locked, telling her she'd caught the Pokèmon. In this case, it was not so satisfying.

She sighed and trudged over to the ball, recalling Oddish on her way, and clipped both Pokèballs to her belt. This was just another Normal-type, so it really wasn't going to be any help at all in the battle against Brock. This sucked.

"Mmhmm, I'm from Cianwood. What about you?" Sam watched the Kirlia move the chair. 'Having a Psychic-type might be useful' she mused to herself. "They're breeders? Where's he from? Cyndaquil...Isn't that the little fire pokemon from Johto?" Sam smiled as she watched Riza and Kirlia. She hugged the egg pouch, and laid her head on top of it, utterly content. 'She's right. That's what this is. A family.'

Leon made some pretty good distance before running into his first Pokèmon on Route 102. A Wurmple wriggled out in front of the trainer and was obviously looking to fight. It spat a long stream of sticky string at Muuma, wrapping up the Ghost-type and lowering her speed, as well as provoking a look of disgust from the Misdreavus.

"Psywave, Muuma," Leon commanded, seeing as how that attack seemed to have done pretty well for them so far. It repeated this feat, and soon the Wurmple was lying motionless on the ground, it's eyes all swirly. Leon watched it struggle up and crawl away to safely, then continued walking towards Petalburgh.

A nervous chuckle escaped the girl as she hurriedly gathered two glasses and put a small amount of ice in the bottoms of them - she had a tendency to go easy on the ice even though Saul had told her otherwise and to fill them right up, as it meant they'd not have to put as much actual drink in them and thus save money and resources. "Sorry, but no," she said as she filled up both glasses, silently wishing the things would go faster. "I think you've mistaken me for someone else. I get that all the time. Three dollars, please," she added as she placed the two root beers in front of Keegan. Her tone was convincing enough, at least to her, though she refused to make eye-contact for she knew that if she were to gaze into those green eyes of his, it would all be over. As though to illustrate her point she adjusted her nametag and gave it a quick wipe with a cloth. "Want me to keep an ear open?" she went on, deciding to fish a little. "I can send her your way if I see her. She your girlfriend or something?"

Meanwhile, Levi was looking up at her trainer like she was nuts. Had she forgotten her own name? Didn't she recognize Keegan? What was wrong with her? Levi snorted and gazed up at the redhead intently. Yep, that was definitely him, but why was Kasiya acting like she didn't know him?

"Uh... okay..." Misty mumbled, having watched the Ambipom overestimate his jump and disappear under the water and she had to admit that she hadn't seen something like that in quite some time. The Ambipom was energetic and adorable, and Misty couldn't help but think that perhaps he was a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

The Gyarados just blinked and peered down at the submerged Luffy. Even with two tails he wasn't sure that was the proper way for land-dwelling Pokemon to swim. The Atrocious Pokemon straightened up as Misty called out to him - he would do his best to please her, as he had not battled in a while. "Let's show them the power of your Twister!" the redheaded Gym Leader commanded. The Gyarados let out a roar that at first appeared to do nothing, but after a moment or two the water in the pool began to stir a little, and soon the Twister had caused a whirlpool to form in front of the Gyarados.

Mitsu smiled, "Sorry Dante." She would have rather seen him in a suit, and she'd get him one if she knew how, but she didn't. Next time, next time he's surely get a suit. She looked to Violet, "Thanks Violet!" She did a small twirl under Kilik's arm as if they were dancing in place. The hem of her dress ruffled along with the spin, the rhinestones sparkling against the lighting.

"Sinnoh Pokemon?" Mitsu asked turning back to Dante. "That Turtwig looked really cute. I wouldn't mind getting one of those. But I don't have any money to commission an egg." Maybe she could pick one up from Professor Rowan when she got to Sinnoh. The man seemed fairly intimidating, but he was a Pokemon professor, which meant he had to love Pokemon right? And anyone who loves Pokemon couldn't be too bad. "Were you planning on getting something in particular big bro?"

The mud made a squish-squish sound under Miyamaru's orange rain boots. She stomped into the mud puddles that were building up along the side of the worn path. Pastoria didn't have roads with cement and those silly yellow broken lines. Everything was natural, how else would the Great Marsh be so teeming with Pokemon?

It was raining, as usual. Miyamaru, Mia for short, was humming a cheery tune after stomping in another puddle, the mud splashing up against her boots. Luckily it missed her bright blue socks that stuck up just above her boots. She was headed towards the Move Tutor's house. Once there she knocked on the wooden door, three times, and just with the right jingle. She fixed her hair pins, which were abnormally large and mimicked the spray of water as a wave crashes into cliffs at the shore.

"Mia!" the slightly pudgy man cried as he opened the door. Almost every citizen of Pastoria knew that knock. "What are you doing here? Running an errand for your father? Or did you just stop by to say hello?" the man replied, his mouth spilling questions left and right. "OH! Is that a Heart Scale?!" he cried grasping her hands, eyes ogling at the rainbow scale. Mia smiled, "Yeah. Dad gave it to me, it's for Rhyme. He said I should teach her Ice Fang." She air quoted when she said "Ice Fang."

"Certainly! Certainly!" he cried again quickly pocketing the Heart Scale with the speed of a nifty pickpocket. "Out, out with your Floatzel!"

Mia threw her Pokeball forward, doing a light spin on her left foot in the process, her orange scarf waving in the air. "Ryhme! C'moooooon out!" she giggled. A flash of red light appeared and before the two humans materialized the Floatzel. She grunted looking up at the familair Heart Scale Man, as Mia had once called him.

Heart Scale Man touched her forehead, some how transferring the knowledge of a past attack into Rhyme's mind. It was like a flash and she grunted after he moved his hand. Her mind was swarming with the knew attack, thoughts of the frigid ice filling her head as she thought of the attack.

"Thank you!" Mia replied throwing her arms around the man's neck. She was just a bit taller than the average girl of seventeen and clad in a long sleeved dark blue shirt and a pair of orange-brown shorts that had a pattern on both sides. She waved good-bye, a silly smiled plastered on her face as she left the house. The sky seemed less angry and the downpour almost seemed to stop for her bright as sunshine smile. Today was going to be great!

When the Monferno emerged from his Pokeball, Lilah gave a nod of approval. She'd never seen one up close before, only in books and in her own PokeDex, which she had to admit was quite outdated and in dire need of an update. "Brace yourself and counter with Bite!" Lilah giggled and did a little dance on the spot. None of her Pokemon loved to battle as much as her Luxio did, and she knew he'd enjoy battling a spirited Pokemon like this one.

The feline-like Pokemon crouched low, baring his teeth as Genki approached, letting out a bit of a gasp as the Monferno's fist landed a solid blow directly into the center of his chest. He recovered quickly, however, and lunged forward, teeth glistening in the sunlight as he attempted to take a chunk out of the Monferno in return for the Mach Punch he'd just taken.

From about twenty or so meters away from where Train had made her accidental capture stood a somewhat tall young man with deep green hair and warm, brown eyes. At his side stood a proud-looking canine-like Pokemon; a Growlithe, one ear twitching in confusion at the girl's actions. Brushing his dark bangs from his eyes, the youth slowly made his way towards her, one hand in his pocket. "You must have something against Rattata," he observed, his voice decorated by a light British-type accent, "otherwise you mightn't be so perturbed by your capture." The Growlithe followed obediently along, never once falling out of step by his master's side. What the young man didn't know, however, was that Train had previously captured a Rattata beforehand and that she wasn't in need of two of them.
PostPosted: Mon Aug 10, 2009 2:18 pm

"Huh?" Train glanced in the direction of the voice, and then turned to face the man speaking to her. "Oh, no, it's not like I hate them or something," She responded quickly, not wanting the stranger to think she had something against the Mouse Pokèmon. "It's just, I caught one awhile back, and I'd like to think I've done an okay job training it, so I'm not really in need of another one..." She trailed off, realizing that she was on the verge of starting to ramble, and thus kept her mouth shut for now.

Meanwhile, Pikachu was at his trainer's feet, and was interested in the dog-like Pokèmon standing at his own trainer's side. He took a couple of cautious steps forward and greeted the Growlithe with a,
"Pika!" and held out a tiny little yellow hand to the other Pokèmon, even though it obviously didn't have arms.

While he waited for the two drinks to be poured, he couldn't help but notice how intently the Marshtomp seemed to be staring at him. That, paired with the way that this 'Rachael' girl was avoiding eye contact made him believe otherwise, and had she not made that last comment he probably just would have walked away, but the part of his pride that was still severely wounded wouldn't let him. "My mistake," he said flatly, pulling out his wallet as he gave her another once-over. "For a moment, I thought you were someone else, but I can see now that she's much prettier than you. And no, my date is over there," he added, glancing in Riza's direction. "Keep the change," he grumbled, tossing a handful of coins onto the counter so forcefully that some of them rolled off the edge of the counter and onto the floor by her feet. Pocketing his wallet he grabbed the two glasses and turned on a heel to head back to his table, a very smug grin etched into his face.

"What'd I miss?" he asked as she set down Sam's root beer and pulled out a chair for himself, his mannerisms and tone clearly indicative that nothing of consequence had happened at the mini bar. Serves you right, you lying wretch, he thought, noisily drumming his fingertips on the tabletop.
