lymelady Mcphee lymelady So basically, in order to be respected, you need to believe what someone else tells you to believe? Wow. With friends like that... xd
Precisely. There was no heart sad lol, wow, it took me a second to realize what you were talking about... xd She's right!

I.Am. I have reasons. I refuse to believe you because of the lack of evidence for your claim that you initialy bring. Once its prooven though i no longer fight it and I concede. Give one example where I didn't.
I talk to my teachers because Dwight Creech has spent years in the christian ministry studying riligious facts, trends, and myths. You havn't. Most of the time what he says though is basicly the same as you, more detailed and expanded with several sources and refrneces he'll give me.
The thing is, I'm not accusing TPO of the same exact thing. I'm accusing him of simply hating some one and thinking they are morons unworhty of respect if they don't concede instantly or share the same idea. I've never hated any one for having a diffrent opinoin then me, unless they atmept to push that opinoin into fact and refuse to even hear what others have to say.

Lorysa Mcphee I try to be friendly with everyone. Mr. Peer is one of the few people, along with Mipsy, and others, that seem to think that I'm a worthless person. Or at least I thought Peer was in that group. Mipsy told me flat out "Become pro-choice again, and you'll get respect from me. Otherwise, suck it up."
I guess I just... am interested by what makes people hate me.
Because, I dunno. I don't see myself as an easily hateable person. I'm not in-your-face, I'm not rude, and I don't judge people. I try and be the best person I can, and if I'm not, then I try and improve on that.
That, and... s**t, I just don't like it when people dislike me. It causes unecessary stress, and it makes me feel all... I dunno. Self concious. I hate being hated, and when I am, it's hard for me to just... let it go.
It's like... the people who used to make fun of me for being a "f*****t", "homo", "fatty", "disgusting". I knew why they hated me. If I don't know, then I can't do anything about it. But if they hate me arbitrarily, well, I don't like that too much.
I don't know. I'm rambling yet again, though. So I'll hush. No, you're a very likeable person. I have no grudges against you. 3nodding I have to agree. Despite the fact that I'm having to constently bottle your gay love and sell it on e-bay as a cure for the bird flu, you're a very likable person...in a platurnal way.

lymelady Akshamala Aw, man. I really miss you guys. I'm even lucky to come on here now. gonk You! How're you doing? Well, I'm staying with my dads parents whom I never met before in my life. It was really akward meeting them at first but they turned out to be pretty cool. They have a crappy compter so I can't do much with it. It keeps freezing and it takes a long time to boot up. crying
But I'm having fun none-the-less. I actually want to start living here. It's so beautiful!

Edited away, like it was never there.
Because, after I wrote it and lay down to sleep, I thought about it, and I really don't want to start a stupid flame war.
Which, the fact of the matter is, Pyro, given that what I said was true... You never would have believed me. No matter what I threw in your face, you would come up with reasons for how it wasn't so.
I'm just going to leave it at that. Nobody was going to be convinced who didn't already know the truth.
Just respect other people's arguments, no matter how obvious it seems to you, and you wouldn't have to worry about being accused of throwing stones. I mean, Pro-Life seems obvious to me, but there are a lot of smart people on the Pro-Choice side too.
P.S: One instance in which you didn't back down as soon as you were proven wrong: Something as ridiculous as whether Miranda's metaphor was obviously a metaphor or not, in the "Christmas and paganism" thread. In the end you just said, "I quit." Not like you conceded, but like you gave up on trying to convince us you were right.

lymelady Mcphee I.Am Pyrotechnic Oracle I.Am I really don't see how he puts on a facade. He's a highly opinionated person, and he's not afraid to show it. Sure, he's a bit of a jerk sometimes, to people he doesn't like, but he doesn't act like he's not. And, as I said, I think that he's come to realize that Pro-Lifers aren't all that bad, hanging around Kaiser and Ebony. I'm talking about when he came to our guild. He tried to act liek a firnedly individual concerned for some of our debate tactics. Then he turned out to be an a** hat. Oh that, sure. Like I said. He's opinionated. And when you argue against his opinions, he becomes fairly certain you're an idiot, and he isn't afraid to show it. Hell, everyone's opinionated. I'm opinionated, you're opinionated...
I don't mind that. I'm friends with Miranda, so I HAVE to tolerate opinionated people. XD
It's rudeness that I think is unnecessary. There's good, and bad ways to express your opinion. There I must agree. Miranda's opinionated. I don't think I'm lacking that quality either. It's childish to react to everything you don't like with rudeness. Me? Opinionated? How could you think such a thing?

In the end you just said, "I quit." Not like you conceded, but like you gave up on trying to convince us you were right. And i still won't concede. Because of how it was presented I took it as a statement of fact. She emnt it as a metaphore. Fine, it was a metaphore. Not goign to change how I took it though. This is what you failed to see me as saying, and what i was tryign to explain. YOu can call any thing a metaphore, but unless you state it as an understandable one, there are going to be problems. Heres ythe thing. Peer, Darkfire, what ever he wishes to call himself now, has a complex in which he is always right and no matter what any one else says, he's right. Any one that thinks diffren thten him and wont bow to his opinoin, or any one that dosn't fit his sence of logic is an idiot. He has acted this way for i don't knwo how long. He is opinoinated, yes, that fine, no problem there. But, he's also an a** hole and a troll. Lymelady, Jabber, Mcphee, and myself can all bring evidence to support that. Untill he can learn to be opinoinated and not treat any one who disagrees with him like s**t, he deserve no ammount of respect as far as I'm concerned. Untill I see evidence that he is acting in a mature respectable manure, he gets nothign form me. He defended Kaiser. Okay. Suan Hannaty defended Howard Stern. That dosn't change the fact that Howard is an illicite, perverted a** hole.

YOu can call any thing a metaphore, but unless you state it as an understandable one, there are going to be problems. I'm not arguing the rest because personally I want nothing to do with Darkfire, or Peer or whatever. I think he's an a**, and unless he gets a serious attitude adjustment and fast, my opinion of him is not bound to change. What he said to Adrian was crude and homophobic and I have no use for people like that.
However, Pyro. You don't state something is a metaphor, that ruins the entire point of a metaphor. If you say something as a metaphor and then state it again literally, then why would you state anything as a metaphor at all? You don't see (AND THIS IS A METAPHOR) in poems beside every metaphor, that would just be stupid.
I explained why it would not have been possible for what I said to be taken literally, and really it wasn't. But you just automatically jumped on "Miranda is insulting me" instead of thinking about things and now it just comes across as you can't admit that you were wrong because it would be admitting that you just jumped to a conclusion without thinking it through.
