Sammy walked over, staring at the book and studying it. "Really? Who could have left it there?" Sammy gritted her teeth as she realized Mr. Ginji had already answered that question; she felt stupid, now. She just looked at the book dumbly, as if it had some magical meaning. She looked towards Mr. Ike, confuzzled.

"Honestly, I think the book found me." Ginji said as he looked at the book, the spine turning a slight white color while the rest of the cover was slowly morphed into a single dark purple glowing symbol. The symbol of Evil and Hate. It contrasted nicely with the white background of the book. On the back cover of the book stood the symbol of Good and Love in white with a swirling black background.

It was only apparent that the two symbols were on the covers because the book was now hovering closed in mid-air. Ginji didn't notice the sound, even if he did hear it, as he was too mystified by the book. It truly had conquered his passion. It was dangerous to give your life away so easily, but it was also exciting. He needed something to snap him out of the trance.

And something did.

From a pulse of energy that the book exerted on the floor, the creaking sounds became louder and louder until...
the floor gave in.
Ike swiftly grabbed on to some tile that hadn't fallen into the large, dark pit below them. He hoped the others had done the same. Two of his partner's poke balls fell from his belt and dropped down into the pit. Ike extended one arm as to try to catch them, but it was no use. He rose his hand once more to hang from the side of the hole.
"Everyone all right?" he yelled out.

"Holy Shi-" Ginji started as he woke up from the trance and managed to grasp a hold among the edge of the hole just before he could have been plummeted down into the deep darkness. After a moment to catch his breathe he yelled out. "I'm fine. You guys good?" he had the answer already, but it was tradition. "So...wanna go spelunking?" he asked as he smiled.

"Y-yeah." said Ike, fixing his grip. Suddenly Scizor came flying up from the pit. Apparently he was on of Ike's partners that fell.
"Ha!" he laughed at everyone. Ike gave him a look. Scizor flew over to Sammy.
"Not too high and mighty now, are you!" he punned at her.
"Shut up Scizor, how far of a drop is it?" Ike asked. Scizor had to think about it has he fluttered in mid-air.
"Ohh.... about 50 feet or so. Pretty deep." he said casually.
"Oh? Well think fast!" said Ike. He started to swing where he hung and jumped backwards at Scizor. Doing a 180 in the air, he latched on to Scizor's back and the two slowly began to sink in the air.
"Ugh-! What the!?- ..." grunted Scizor, not handling Ike's weight too yell.
"Anyone else need a lift down?" Ike joked to Sammy and Ginji.

As Ike and Scizor landed, Scizor pushed Ike off his back and began stretching.
"Thanks." said Ike. Scizor rolled his eyes before something caught his attention. Lucario was at the bottom as well and out of his ball. He only stood there still and emotionless. Ike flipped open his TADS to try and use it as a flash light.
"This is different." he said, trying to look around to the best of his abilities. "Lucario, you ok?" he asked his partner. Lucario didn't respond, but walked away as if having his own agenda. Ike sighed as Scizor followed Lucario into the dark.
Ike looked around to find Ginji.
"Well now what?" he asked.

"We go for a walk." Ginji smiled backwards as he stepped forward into an open cavern. As he did so, a multitude of lights and computer screens came on. On the floor, the black symbol on the front of the book is displayed, where in 4 places around the black symbol where the white symbols is shown. Ginji recognized it immediately. "What do you think this is for?" not noticing the vast new feeling of the lab, like no one had used it before.
