yes and I found it Complicating matters unecessarily.
I used the competing d20 rolls because it was simple enough.
Whoever rolls the highest number wins.
Fights take long enough as is with only one Dice per fighter being rolled.

Cale and I tried roleplaying in his room once before. It didn't exactly work.
Cale: Oh, Baby, I'm a naughty smuggler bringing spice into the core.
DA: I'm a 10th level Jedi with 20 Force points and I can use my Force Lightning to destroy droids.
Cale: Jedi can't use Force Lightning.
DA: Oh. Okay then, I'm a Mando'ade woman.

Well I just thought with one d20 it would be a little confusing using the same number for the attack and defense of the player. There is no defending. Just a competing Dice roll. whoever gets the higher roll wins. How is that confusing?
