Atem decided to enter at this, glad to see that Nanu was up. "Hey! You're eating! Good job." He said cheerfully, pushing the incident with Ayira out of his head.

Atem went to the side of the bed. "Well, Ayira's awake. And she's pissed off at me, for some reason." He grumbled, rubbing the back of his head. "I don't understand where I went wrong." This was a lie. He had said some of the things earlier just to get a reaction from Ayira.

"Huh? Oh, yeah." Atem smiled. "I'm fine. Hey, let me ask you something." He obviously had something on his mind. "Do you think it's a good idea if I send Seto away for a little bit? Things have been so stressful here, I think it'd be a good idea if he got a break. Don't you agree?"

Nanu thought for a moment "You might want to wait intill ayira has healed enough where she can travel. that way they can both go" nanu said.

Atem snorted, shaking his head. "Oh, not her. I'm going to do my best to separate the two. If I wanted to, I could make a new law for priests not to be able to get married. You know, like they'd have to be pure or something. That would be reasonable."

"Because I don't like the girl." Atem said with a scowl. "And Seto... doesn't deserve anyone." He knew it was cruel of him to say such things, but he was irritated. "I just want Seto gone for a while. And if that girl didn't pick a fight with me, I might be more lenient, but she just rubs me wrong, I think." Seto reentered Ayira's room, looking a bit depressed. It was odd to see his father dead, though he knew Akhenaden was willing to kill both him and Ayira and other people. He was a cruel man, insane, but seeing him dead... That corpse had once been his father. Once, he didn't know how long ago, that man had cared for him. He slipped to the ground, oblivious of Ayira.

Ayiras eyes looked overas seto entered the room "seto...."

"I can't believe you're taking their side on this!" Atem exclaimed, crossing his arms over his chest. "You don't even know Seto that well. There's no way anything is going to change him. Sheesh." Seto held his head, staring intently at the floor. "Akhenaden wasn't always so twisted... He was a respectable man. He was loyal to the pharaoh, for the most part. I don't know what happened. I don't know why he had to die..." Seto said, closing his eyes when he felt tears fill them. He took in a deep breath, trying to calm himself.

"Our relationship is nothing like theirs! I've known you for a lot longer than he's known her. This s probably nothing more than some fling for him." Atem said with a snort. Seto shook his head. "Don't be. It's probably for the best..." He said, carefully getting up, glad that nobody but Ayira had seen him lose control for a little bit. He looked around, as though to make sure. "The pharaoh didn't stay long, did he?"

"How would you know?" Now Atem was staring to get pissed off at Nanu. Why couldn't someone just agree with him? "How can you possibly think you know what's best in this situation?" Seto's head snapped up, his eyes widened slightly. "He what? But-- Mahado said... I've got the Millennium Rod!" He exclaimed angrily, brandishing the rod as though he needed proof. "There's no excuse for sending me away, especially now! He's already down one priest, why does he want to lose another one, even if temporarily?"
