yo punny nut I'm quoting you to answer your question too. n v n I think we're both misunderstanding your confusion.
So I'll break it down little by little if it helps.
Before your post in Essence de Soleil (let's use Priya as an example), you'll roll 10 times with the numbers 1 through 10 (or once with 10 different 10-sided dice depending on your preference). This will give you a series of 10 different numbers - all odds and evens. As I've written in the guide to the event, evens will be hits and odds will be misses. What this does is essentially build a small reservoir of odds and evens to choose from. I'm trusting you guys - as I do in the RP with your abilities - to not godmod that your character manages a hit with every time they shoot.
So, since you rolled on Wednesday, it looks like your hits and misses are at 8 and 2; meaning you can RP 8 hits or 2 misses. Whereas for my character Aubrey, I have 20 hits and 20 misses to choose from from what I've rolled. I've RP'd out 1 of those hits and 1 of those misses, which means I have 19 left from each to choose from. You can roleplay them out in any way you like, as long as you make it realistic. If you're getting a hit in every single one of your posts (since you can only have 1 hit per post) - even while someone is running, hiding, or out of sight - then that would obviously be unfair and we'd have to come speak to you privately.
So overall, as long as you feel as if you have a satisfactory amount of hits and misses to choose from, you don't have to keep rolling. I personally like to keep rolling because I kind of want to see my final number by the time I'm finished.
I mean, if someone hits you, and they write that they hit you and it bothers you immensely, then you can speak to them privately about it - but I'd prefer that you guys let me know since I update my records every few hours (at least 3 or 4 times a day) to keep track of who's winning. But the only thing you're rolling for is whether your personal character can hit someone. I know for sure that some people prefer just rolling once per post, which I'm fine with. The only limitation for rolling is that you get 10 a day at max.
Does this at all clear it up? Lol, Tragic you're fine.
You can roll them however you want as long as the numbers stay between 1 and 10 for your hits/misses.

Ah, off by one day. Lol. Edit; So for the hits and misses do those have to be directed at other rpers or could we have them shoot at NPCs? (Sorry if it was stated in the rules, I'm being a little slow at the moment xD )

To be honest, I'd SUPER prefer if you guys shot it at someone, since I did ask you guys to quote anyone on the opposite team when it happens.
More so because it makes for interaction? That way no one's getting left out and it's a little more fun that way.
But I MIGHT be changing it soon. Might. I kinda doubt it though.
