"Why can't you?" Jake asked calmly. He sounded almost like he was sad. He went over to try and help the woman.

"You will interrupt the mistress in what she is doing," the woman said as she watched Jake reach a stone from a high shelf for her.

"I'm just Leigh," the woman replied. "And she is doing a delicate spell to restore the girl. It would be bad to interrupt her now." She took what Jake had gotten for her and walked out of the room.
