Lilah's Glameow didn't even really have a chance to enjoy the feeling of her claws tearing into the Staravia as before she could react she felt herself being slammed by the wings once more, and with a heavy thud she fell to the ground, no longer able to battle. "Huh, how do you like that," Lilah shrugged before holding up a shiny Luxury Ball to recall her feline. "You did great, Glameow, now rest up," she told the sphere fondly before she tucked it into one of the side pouches of her purse while withdrawing a second one. "That was fun, your Staravia is pretty smart, and strong," Lilah commented. "But, I don't think she'll be able to beat my next Pokemon! Luxio, I choose you!"
She sent another sphere flying - this one blue and yellow, a Quick Ball - onto the battlefield, revealing the Spark Pokemon and evolved form of Shinx. He growled sharply though his ability wasn't Intimidate. "Use your Spark attack, Luxio!" The lynx-like Pokemon narrowed its eyes and rushed forward, his body quickly becoming engulfed with crackling electricity. "That's the way!" Lilah cheered.
=-=-=-=-= "Oh no you don't!" Misty shouted, very much worried for her Starmie. "Starmie, dodge and use Recover again!" she cried, her voice cracking a little as she wasn't sure Starmie had the energy to dodge. It turned out that this would be the case, and Misty could only watch as the Yanma sped through the oncoming Water Pulse and slammed solidly into the center of the Starmie, the thud echoing throughout the whole gym. Starmie landed hard on the platform in front of Misty, it's jeweled-core blinking rapidly and emitting a high-pitched, alarm-like sound. "Oh man... it's all over now," Misty sighed, hugging her Pokemon gently before she recalled it into it's Pokeball. She stood up and sighed, brushing a few stray strands of red hair behind an ear before she grinned broadly, and turned towards Robin. "Well, that's it, you won!" she said cheerfully, even though part of her was disappointed that she'd lost. "Okay, bring it out," she called, clapping her hands just once.
A moment or so later a large, blue Pokemon with orange whiskers, and a large in on its back came into the room, holding a shiny blue box. The Swampert looked to Misty for a moment, and the Gym Leader nodded. "Go ahead," she said, watching as the large Ground and Water-type headed towards Robin and held the box out for her to take. "Those are yours," Misty said, grinning. "Your Cascade Badge and TM03, Water Pulse," she said. "Take 'em, you really earned them!"

Robin could only blink in surprise at Misty's comment and the fallen Starmie. She had won? Wow, ok! This was super cool. Letting out a loud woop of joy she and Luffy hugged happily on the small platform while a tired and somewhat hurt Raz landed happily on her head. "Wowowow! I can't believe we won! Thank you so much Raz!" She giggled as she grinned up at the tired Yanma. When the Swampert approached her Robin just stared at the stuff in the box and blinked a few times. "You get stuff other then a badge? Oh how cool is that!" Robin grinned as she gratefully took the things and placed the TM in her bag before pinning the badge onto her bags strap. Grinning down at Luffy she showed off her new badge to him. "How do I look Luffy?"
The happy Ambipom gave Robin a thumbs up with a big grin on his face before he turned to look at the arena with a hint of disappointment. He had wanted to battle on the super cool water arena.
Sensing Luffy's slight disapointment Robin thought for a second before turning to Misty. "Umm Misty I know the gym battle is over but it looks like Luffy really wants to battle in your cool arena. Do you think that maybe we could have a small battle just for him. Nothing at stake or anything just for fun. That is if you don't mind."
When he heard Robin's question Luffy perked up and his grin turned even wider as he started to bounce around on his legs. He might get to try out his new tail that he grew. The new Ambipom still didn't know he had evolved he just thought he got a new tail because it would be cool.
~~~~~~
"Erg, fine mom. Anyway why did you send me a dress? I thought I told you I was done with your cross dressing ideas." Dante pouted slightly.
"Oh honey I am sorry about that. I didn't have time to go get a suit and all I had were dresses. I didn't know you were coming after all." Violet said with a not so sorry look on her face. "Anyway how about I help make it up to you. Lets talk to some people about commissioning a pokemon egg for you? Something you can't get from me. Does that help sweetie?"
Sighing Dante decided to forgive his mother for making him do this one more time. "All right, you really don't have to do that though Mom."
"Oh nonsense honey I like doing things for you." Violet said with a smile before scooping him up in a quick hug again. "Now lets see what I can get for you. Maybe I could call some of those Sinnoh breeders up, you would probably have to go pick it up for yourself though if you don't mind."
Surprised that his mom knew he was going to get an egg for himself but a pokemon from Sinnoh none the less. Still she did know him fairly well. "I thought I saw some Sinnoh pokemon while I was walking through here why can't we talk to them?"
Upon hearing that a dark look appeared on Violets face. "You don't want those pokemon honey. The breeders they are from were not supposed to bring them here." For whatever reason Violet was somewhat of a stickler for rules, Dante could never really figure out why but he figured that it was not his place to question his mom on that.
Kasiya looked up as she heard her name, a little surprised to see that it would be Serenity that was first to see through her facade. "I guess I can't fool everybody," she said, her voice low, "but if you wouldn't mind, I'm trying to be incognito, so if you wouldn't go around telling everyone-" her gaze flickered in the redhead's direction, "-that I'm here, I'd really appreciate it." She didn't stop smiling the whole time she spoke, though she did take a second to admire Sere's dress. "Yeah I could have been all dressed up fancy," she laughed, poking at her uniform a little, "but... well... I needed some extra money," she explained with a shrug. "And they were hiring. Lucky me!" She pulled out the bottle of grenadine from the cupboard below her and set it on the counter, which was shaking somewhat violently. It seemed Levi had recognized the small girl from earlier and was now bouncing up and down in her seat, though Kasiya suspected that she just wanted to see little George again. Each movement caused each of the glasses and bottles to rattle dangerously. "Levi, settle down," Kasiya hissed through clenched teeth. "If anything gets broken, I'm going to have to pay for it." Rosemary, meanwhile, was behaving quite well and shook her head disapprovingly at the Marshtomp, though Levi didn't seem to care. Kasiya quickly prepared the Shirley Temple, adding a few extra cherries for her friend before pouring some ice into a glass for the 7-up, which she took from the mini-fridge that was located just behind her. "Enjoy," she said brightly, sliding them towards Serenity and grabbing up that same cloth to mop up the small amount of ginger ale she'd spilled. "It's on the house."
=-=-=-=-= The sudden change in Giovanni's voice caught Mai off-guard, yet her expression remained calm and unchanged. The future of Team Rocket, or mainly, a future Team Rocket without Giovanni there to lead it had never been a subject they had touched upon before now and Mai wasn't quite sure what to do or say in return. She knew Giovanni had a lot of faith and hope in her, but she never would have expected him to want her to be the one to carry on the Team Rocket legacy. She dared to look at him, her heart cracking a little when she saw the tears in his eyes. Giovanni was the strongest, most willful man she ever known as well as the closest thing to a father she'd ever had, and it took everything Mai had to keep it together. Moments like this were quite rare, especially in this office.
She slowly reached her hand up and let is rest on her boss' in an attempt to reassure him. "Yes Sir," she said quietly, unable to stop her voice from quivering a little. "No matter what happens, I will not let you down. Not ever."
The Raichu had silently listened to Giovanni's every word, and she tentatively looked at the two Rockets, relatively to understand just what was going on. These were the same two cruel, heartless Rockets from before, right? The mouse's ears twitched but she remained silent as she gazed up at Mai, wondering just what would happen now. Would Mai take her to this 'Sinnoh' place? Would Kassie be going too? She had no way of knowing for sure...
Tyra smirked as she watched the two punks leave. Tyra knelt down to Jiro “c’mon boy get in stay in, and let’s get you healed up. Great fight.” Tyra said and smiled proudly. Hunter had howled at the end of the battle with approval. Jiro was engulfed in white light which was pulled back into the pokeball. Tyra latched it on and turned to Miharu. The question threw her off guard. She wasn’t exactly sure she was going. “Roaming. You?” she said abruptly. She didn’t really mean to be so matter-of-fact towards the smaller girl. She couldn’t shake the failure that she knew Freya was also feeling. She sighed heavily and motioned to Hunter. Knowing the signals, Hunter sat down next to Tyra’s stuff a bit more relaxed.
She raised a quick eyebrow at Kasiya but said nothing. If the girl didn't want to be known that was her business. Besides Levi was going to get her caught soon enough, if Sere didn't get out of there.
"Thanks so much for the drinks. If you want, you can stop by my house tomorrow before the ship leaves. I'll make you breakfast in payment." Sere smiled. Then turned to leave.
She focused on the table that she had left Riza and Keegan at, and found that there was someone else now talking there as well. She also noticed that Keegan had taken off somewhere. 'I am so not in the mood for drama at all tonight.' she thought. 'If those two can't get along then I don't want to be here.'
"Here you go Riza." She handed the girl her drink. Sere sat down at the table and tried to scan the room again for her sister. It was unlike Alex to leave her alone so long in such chaos.
"That would be great," Kasiya nodded, now gently massaging Leviathan's head, just to the right of her fin. The Marshtomp's eyes were closed and she was making a sound that could almost be mistaken for purring, but she'd calmed down now. Rosemary had hopped down and was exploring the small area around the drinks stand, though she'd skitter back behind Kasiya's legs every time someone walked by. Kasiya decided that she didn't want the young Bayleef having a heart attack so she recalled her and put the ball away before leaning up against the counter to wait for more customers. This is so boring... she thought, looking around for the umpteenth time that evening. The band had started playing and now many people were dancing. Kasiya couldn't believe how positive the atmosphere in this place felt, though it was a welcome change. It was then that she noted Keegan heading towards her and she froze up a little. If Serenity recognized her, then she was more than certain that he would. She gulped and pretended to look busy, sure that her heart was now beating louder than the bass drum of the band.
=-=-=-=-= Jaeshan had wandered all around the first floor of Granite Cave, finding not much of interest other than the occasional Zubat or Geodude that attacked, but as it was a cave he figured it was par for the course. He did find a ladder leading down to the next level, but it was quite dark inside and suddenly Jaeshan was having second thoughts about this whole cave-exploration thing. Maybe we should just get off this island and head for the next gym... back to Slateport then north to Mauville, he thought, sticking his hands in his pockets as his thoughts tumbled around in his mind. He'd turned on a heel to head for the cave's exit when Metang suddenly tapped (or rather thumped, as the Metang was growing to be rather strong) him on the back, humming excitedly. "Hmm?" Jaeshan asked, following the Steel and Psychic-type's gaze across the cavern. There, sitting atop a flat rock, and apparently sound asleep at that, was an Abra.
"Whoa..." Jaeshan murmured, holding up a hand to keep Metang from moving forward. "I didn't know there were Abra living in this cave..." Very slowly he pulled his PokeDex from his bag and flipped it open, muting the robotic voice before it could speak and startle away the flighty Psychic-type. Abra, the Psi Pokemon, he read silently. It sleeps for eighteen hours a day, though it is always using a sort of psychic radar to search for danger so that it may flee if threatened. Even when awake, it uses it's Teleport ability while seated. Jaeshan smiled a bit and closed the PokeDex, slipping it back into his bag before he began to look for his one and only Great Ball. "Now's our chance," he whispered to Metang, who nodded silently. Jaeshan felt his fingers close around the oddly-shaped blue and red sphere and he quickly pulled it out of his bag, though perhaps a little too quickly as he somehow managed to bring his other three empty Pokeballs with him and they clattered loudly to the ground. Jaeshan just stared at them for a moment then looked back towards the Abra, sighing with relief when he saw that it was sound asleep. "That was close..." he whispered, kneeling down to collect the dropped spheres, but as he made the motion both of his knees popped suddenly - very normal as it happened all the time - and just like that the Abra's head snapped up, very much wide awake.
"Uh oh," Jaeshan murmured, eyes wide.
Sam watched Keegan go get the drinks, then watched the blonde girl come back to their table and hand Riza her drink. That must be Serenity then.
"Hi," Sam said, shyly, "I'm Sam." She was about to extend her hand out, but then she almost dropped the egg pouch. She clutched it, terrified. "You must be Serenity,"she said, her voice getting a little louder and shaking a bit. She knew full well that people were generally creeped out when strangers knew their names, but she wasn't thinking straight. She looked down, then noticed the pokemon at the drink counter. "Hey that looks kind of like Star..." she mumbled to herself.
Though it's eyes were still closed, Jaeshan knew that the Abra was staring directly at him, waiting for the human to make a move. Jaeshan could only stare back at the Psi Pokemon, not entirely sure how to handle this. The Abra's tail twitched and a light glow began to emanate from it's eyes, and all at once Jaeshan knew it was about to Teleport to safety. "Metang, use Pursuit!" he called suddenly, the sudden loudness of his voice startling even him. Metang, however, was responding before the words were even fully out of Jaeshan's mouth, and Jae was sure he'd never seen Metang move that fast before. A dark aura flared up around his body as he shot forward, rearing back and slashing downward with his razor-sharp, metal claws.
The Abra let out a pained shriek and toppled off the rock, the glowing aura that had begun to surround it quickly fading as it hit the rocky ground with a thud. Jaeshan wasn't sure but he think Metang's strike had knocked it out. However he didn't give it a second thought and with a smooth throw he sent the empty Great Ball flying at the downed Psychic-type. He folded his arms across his chest while Metang hovered quietly above him as the two watched the sphere quiver and shake a few times before coming to a standstill - the Abra had been captured! "All right, nice job, Metang," Jaeshan laughed, watching with amusement as Metang pointed a clawed finger at the Great Ball and picked it up by use of telekinesis before floating it over to his master's outstretched hand. "A badge and an Abra, not a bad day so far," he said, clipping it into the only empty slot on his belt. "Let's get back to town and get this little guy healed!"
=-=-=-=-= The large Swampert had came back over to Misty's side of the pool and taken her three Pokeballs, presumably for treatment. "Thanks, Swampert," she called after the Mud Fish Pokemon, as she stretched her arms over her head. Upon hearing Robin's request she grinned broadly. Some of her stronger, non-gym battle Pokemon had been getting pretty antsy lately and she knew they were all itching for a fight. "Sure, that sounds great!" she replied, placing both hands on her hips. "But I'm warning you... the Pokemon I don't use for gym battles are really strong. Do you think you and Luffy can handle 'im?"
Without waiting for a response she pulled a Pokeball from a different pocket from the one she'd been carrying Staryu, Horsea and Starmie in. "Misty calls Gyarados!" The redheaded gym leader did a fancy spin and threw the sphere high into the air where it burst open, spilling a large amount of light into the arena. Misty's fearsome Gyarados touched down in the pool with a tremendous splash and let out a mighty roar, though after that the beast turned around and lowered itself so that it was eye-level with it's mistress, cooing gently. "Good to see you too, Gyarados," Misty giggled, patting the large sea serpent on the head before both of them turned back to Robin and Luffy. "Well?" she called, her voice a lot more confident than before. "Still up for it?"
A few older people approached them, smiling. To Kilik, it seemed that they were pleased that a few kids were here at the Gala, interested in breeding Pokemon. He felt strangely elated by this idea. "I wonder where Dante and Violet are..." Kilik scratched his head with his free hand. He walked with Mitsu out of the second room and down the hall, to the main room where they had first entered the building. He caught sight of Violet and, like most men, felt weak in the knees. However, he couldn't let Mitsu know that. He cleared his throat and approached the mother and son. "Hey there Dante, nice...dress." Kilik blinked a few times. He had always been odd, but a dress? Seriously? "Nice to see you again, Violet."
"So what do you two happen to be up to?" He looked over at Mitsu and gave her hand a little squeeze. He hoped he wasn't being too overwhelming, cause he felt like he was dragging her everywhere. He smiled at her, then looked over at the Remingtons.
-*-
Giovanni didn't move his hand like he normally would have. Instead, the man placed his other hand on hers and gave it a light pat. "Now then," he said, standing. His hands slipped away from hers, "Get on, then. To Lilycove with you, I have things to do." With that, he turned a shoulder away from her and disappeared down the stairs hidden beyond the fake wall behind his desk. The wall slammed shut behind him.
His hands were in his pockets and a sigh escaped him. He was very troubled at this moment, an emotion that he had hardly ever felt before. Yet when he saw his vast collection of Pokemon, including the ones brought in by London, his chest swelled with pride. "Now, which one of you will I try out first..." he whispered, approaching the Tauros. "Would you like to be the first in my newest experiment?" The bull cowered in his cage, attempting to get as far away from the man as possible. A smirk appeared on his lips. "And so it begins..." he whispered, pulling up a green-and-white Safari Ball, recalling the Tauros into it.
Mitsu followed Kilik out the room and hallway once more, this time trying harder to stay side by side. She didn't want him to feel as if he were dragging a log around at the gala. She mentally laughed at her own thought, feeling oddly happy at such an event where she normally would have felt rather out of place. Maybe it was the adults in the lame Pokemon cosplay outfits or maybe it was just the generally happy atmosphere. Either way, she couldn't disagree with the positive air the gala had, it pleased her.
When they had made it to the main room and spotted Dante she couldn't help but smile sheepishly. "I even checked to make sure I had the dress this time," she mumbled to herself. She looked at Dante, giving his dress a good once over before speaking, "You know, it never gets easier for your younger sister to see you in a dress."
Mitsu then spoke to Violet, happy to see the older woman. Her dress didn't quite shock her, Violet had always liked to dress this way, but she couldn't help but feel like she was in the same boat as Dante. A little more fabric couldn't hurt. "It's nice to see you again Violet!" she said, letting go of Kilik's hand for a second to give the woman a hug. She laced her fingers with Kilik's again after giving Violet a good long hug. She returned Kilik's smile easily.
"Thank you," Riza said, gladly accepting her drink and she didn't hesitate to take a sip, though now that she saw Serenity's drink she was a little sad that she hadn't thought to order something like that. "Hope you don't mind the extra company," she said apologetically. "But she did look kinda like she needed saving." She offered a smile in Sam's direction, aware of the newer girl's unease, though she did hear about half of Sam's mumblings. "Who's Star?" she asked without thinking, though when she realized what she'd said she shrugged it off. Maybe if they all kept up the conversations then the nervousness would go away? * * * * * "No, not an electric-type!" Katie wailed as she watched the black and blue Luxio begin its attack. "Noa you've gotta dodge that!" Noa cawed in agreement, as it wasn't like she wanted to get slammed by that painful-looking spark attack. The Staravia flapped her wings quickly, attempting to speed away to safety by means of a quick attack, but her previous injuries sustained from fighting with that glameow lingered painfully and she just couldn't get the same level of speed as before. Katie winced as the electrified tackle slammed into her poor Staravia and as a result she crashed to the ground, leaving a several foot skid mark in her wake. "Ugh..." Katie grumbled before she recalled her Pokemon. "You fought well, Noa, now don't be a sore loser when Genki wins this round, got it?" After tucking the pokeball away she withdrew Genki's and let it fly. "All right, Genki, time to wrap this up! Give them a taste of your mach punch!"
The Monferno appeared in front of Katie in a flash of light and flames, eagerly hopping from foot to foot as he lashed out at the air with his fists. Only now was Katie getting her good first glimpse of him and she couldn't believe how different he looked now. The markings on his face reminded her of a warrior's warpaint. His arms and legs looked to be a lot stronger as well, and she couldn't help but note his long tail and the brightly burning flame on the end of it. She smiled lightly, though she knew she'd miss the way he could ride around on her shoulders as a Chimchar, she understood that now he'd be a lot stronger and more capable in battle. Screeching excitedly, the Monferno raced forward and reared back his fist, which had began to glow, and he launched it forward, aiming to land a solid blow on Lilah's Luxio.
At there comments at his dress Dante groaned to himself and gave them a miserable look. "Gee thanks guys."
"Oh don't be like that honey. It's not there fault that you are stuck in a dress." Violet cooed as she stopped and greeted the other two with a winning smile. "Its very nice to see you two. Both of you are looking very nice tonight."
"It's not exactly my fault I am stuck in a dress either." Dante muttered but no one other then Hera really payed any attention to his complaining. Getting over it rather quickly Dante just shook his head before asking the other two. "My mom is looking for pokemon breeders in Sinnoh. She says we can't trust the ones here, you guys interested in any of the Sinnoh pokemon?"
~~~~~~~
Robin and Luffy just grinned quickly at each other before Misty tossed out her pokeball to reveal the powerful looking Gyarados.
"Yooohooohoo!" Luffy cried as he looked at the giant water pokemon with amazed eyes. He had never seen a pokemon that big before! It was so cool! In the back of his mind Luffy wondered what it would taste like maybe he would be able to find out in this battle? Never mind the fact that the Gyarados could fit in him it's own mouth ten times over.
"All right Luffy, lets do this!" Robin cried with an equally big grin on her face. This pokemon did look a lot stronger then the ones she had fought earlier but hey this battle was just for fun and if nothing else she and Luffy would get some valuable experience from this battle. "All right Luffy lets start off with your Fake Out!" After all if she could only use the move once she might as well take advantage of that.
The happy Ambipom just laughed before jumping up high into the air aaaand promptly falling face first into the water sinking to the bottom like a rock. It seemed like while Luffy wasn't quite used to the extra power he had and his new balance with his extra tail.
"Uh-oh Luffy." Robin muttered as she looked down at the Ambipom who was blinking up at her from the bottom of the pool.

"Oh, Star is my Mudkip." She removed Star's pokeball, and released her without thinking. Star emerged, cringing a bit. She was afraid of being attacked by Sam again. When she realized she was around other people though, she proudly stuck her chest out, and strutted down the table like a model. Sam giggled. "Oh sorry about her, she's a diva. Thinks she rules the world." She sat back, calmed by her little pokemon. "What about you guys? What pokemon do you have? I'm kinda new to being a trainer, I've only got the Boulder Badge from Pewter."

Sere nodded at Riza. "No it's no problem." She said quietly. Sere listened as Sam and Riza continued to talk but didn't really pay that much attention. Until Sam released her mudkip. 'Jeeze, everyone has one of these today.' She thought, slightly annoyed. Still once the pokemon started to strut even Serenity couldn't help but laugh.
"She would like George for sure." She said, offering a hand to the Mudkip. "Fitting name for you Star."
Sere smiled at Sam. "I have a Marshtomp, an Oddish and a Pidgey." She said. "No badges yet. Hoping to collect some on my trip through Sinnoh."

"She's pretty cute," Riza laughed, watching the proud little Mudkip strut around, though she frowed slightly when Sam mentioned that she already had a badge, though Riza reasoned that she'd never actually had an opportunity to try and even get one. After Serenity had taken her turn Riza spoke up next. "I've only just started out recently too," she admitted. "Sneasel, Kirlia and Corphish are my Pokemon, though I think the only one I'd trust to let out is Kirlia." She reached into her bag and pulled out the psychic-type's Pokeball and clicked it open. "Kirlia! Say hello to everyone," Riza said as the Emotion Pokemon took form on the table in front of her. Kirlia greeted everyone with a beautifully executed pirouette, and she then did a set of graceful dance steps across the table before she finished with a flourish bow and jumped back over to Riza, who clapped. "She loves to dance," Riza said with a shrug.
