Her ears twitched to his command, and seeing the need for it, she did so. Snapping her swords together, and putting them to her hip, she put on a gentle smile. Her hands where open, her back was slightly hunched over, and her steps were slow. As Asherah neared the creature, she cooed to it as well as Ryugi, but in a soft motherly tone. But in a different language.
"Shh...shh... We can help you." Asherah seemed to purr out, in an almost guttural whisper. It was a form of mer-speak she had learned over the years. "Calm yourself little one... We mean you no harm..."
Fingers only inches away from the slimed seaweed, she hesitated and pulled her hand back until a further response from the creature.

Lady Asherah had placed the creatures emotion perfectly. It was sad...it was very sad, though as Ryugi had guessed it was now also quite scared. It recognized weapons, but had none of its own. No knowledge of combat, no ability to do anything other than run fast and far.
But it didnt.
As first as they neared it retreated a few feet, its feet shuffling backwards in the sand leaving behind blank shakey footprints in the same hardly recognizable as any animal form. "Arms" drapped around the docks support strut as it took up shelter behind it.
Though as a more positive turn of fate, its new home placed it directly in a beam of moonlight, revealing its form. As the two neared they would notice the true oddness in this beasts construction. Its skin was not simply shiny, it was reflective, like liquid metal melding into a humanoid form. And yet there was something organic laced with it and without its form like patchwork. Grey shark-like covering, overlapped by fishy scales of a myriad of colors. Fins rose off its arms, feet and back, its hands were both web and covered in a thin fishy fin membrane. It was some sort of freakish amalgamam of oceanic creatures, and some sort of silver metallic substance.
As both adventurers spoke, it seemed to evolve before their very eyes, its face peeled open across the jawline forming a mouth containing a front row of baleen and in an inner row of teeth. It seemed to try and speak, at first mimicing the draconic. As opposed to moving its mouth, its glowing green eyes faced Ryugi, and its jaw hung open and still with sound pouring from it. Its voicing sounding less like an actual vocal chord movement, and more like a radio caught between two stations, both playing a broken jumpy record, and both buried underwater.
H-h-hu-ur-ur-t...
Its hand, claw, fin, or however one might perceive the unique fusion of all of the above, moved toward its chest, where its heart should lie. It turned to face Lady Asherah, closing its mouth and opening it again, this time tuned to a different station.
Li-t-t-t-tle w-w-won...
There was a pause, a slight one its head slowly evening back out as if it had come to some sort of recognition. Though with the exception of the lipless slit that served as its mouth its face was as nondescript as a mannequin.
Li-Li-tt-le-le one.Hur-urt.
Its voice seemed to ever so slightly even out.
....help....

It seems we were both right... The poor creature is in what might be emotional pain, scared, and upset, and wishes us to help it. But...how does one help a creature as odd as this?
Ryugi looked over the creature, attempting to assess its situation. He was pretty familiar with most native Gaian creatures, but this strange animal was unlike anything he'd ever seen before. He truly felt for the poor thing. Leave it to humans to call something a monster when they don't understand it, and fear it... Ryugi looked at the creature softly, and with sympathy in his warm red eyes.
How, can we help? Are you alone little one? Where does it hurt?
...We want to help you...

Asherah's eyes glittered as moonlight shined down on the little hurt one. From there, her motherly instincts kicked in. First, she unlaced her boots and slide her feet out of them, next, she laid down her weapons, even without them, she could fend for herself. Looking up to the little one, she slowly crept up further towards it. It's appearance didn't phase her in the least, she'd seen much more horrid creatures.
"Yes, where are you hurt little one.. Is that your name? Little one?"
Reaching our one of her petite hands, her fingers gently smoothed over what looked to be it's hand. She may have called it little one, but it was in fact towering above her, she was only five foot, three inches. Looked up at it, she smiled and shifted her feet in the sand.
"My name... Is Asherah... Ryugi," she gestured gracefully back at him, her fingers fanning out and showing Ryugi to move a little closer, "and I want to know what's wrong. And please.. Take your time to tell us, there is no rush."
Her smile was ever present, and not even for a moment, did she stop contact with the creature. She wanted it to know that she was no threat, that they were both here for good reasons. But most of all, she wanted it to feel comfortable.

It shook just for a moment as it was touched. Touch...this was a new sensation. Its "skin" felt cold and metallic as if it was caught in constant motion just beneath its smooth, wet, surface.
I-I-I...
Its eyes met Asherah's in confusion, and cautiousness swirled together. Very slowly it peeled open the slit in its face, letting out static before closing its mouth again. As opposed to an audible sound a series of beeps and screeches escaped it, like a modem attempting to connect to server. Its eyes flashed for a moment, on and off, and its head jerked to the side, parallel with his shoulders before quickly spasming back, its shoulders slumped and it fell forward against the dock strut, motionless. Its hand going limp and still in her grasp.
Were those beeps its name? Was it dead? Slowly a whirring could be heard from deep inside it, and its eyes blinked back into luminescence, its mouth just barely peek open.
Huuurt.
The sound escaped as its mouth peeked open.
Here hurt...
Its opposite hand rose up touching the center of its chest gently.
He-ar-ar-ar-ar--t
Its voice seemed caught in a mechanical loop before a static pop evened it out again.
Heart....hurt...I....alone...
A sad static ridden moan slipped from its mouth, as its eyes seemed to aim at the far ocean looking for something that once was there, but now was gone. It reached its free hand out to the ocean as if trying to grasp something before it slipped away...or maybe that something was already gone.

"Alone?" She spoke softly. "I'm alone too. There's no more of me left you know..."
Asherah's heart melted as it motioned to it's heart, and then reached to the ocean. Her eyes followed the movements of it's hands, but when they met the ocean they lingered there. Her ears perked up.
"Is there something in the water... Something that you want to show us?"
Maybe it wasn't supposed to be out of the water, why was it getting so weak? Perhaps it needed to swim. Asherah turned around to Ryugi.
"I think it's time for a swim." She giggled as she let go of the creatures hand and gently put it to it's side.
With that, she pulled off her shirt and pants to reveal a simple, blue bikini. Asherah had planned it ahead, seeing as she was going to go to a dock. 'Might as well wear my suit,' she though. And boy did it come in handy.
"Will you show me to the water? I'll swim with you, and keep you company as long as I can...Okay?"

I don't think a swim will help it. I believe this little one is missing his family, or his love, and now he's lonely. If anything, I believe the little guy is heartbroken, and in need of a companion thats more permanent than one of us swimming with him.
So, little one... Is that what you want? Do you want a friend? A companion so you aren't alone anymore?
Ryugi pointed to the creature, and then made a hugging motion, and took on a smiling face as he spoke. The message was meant to convey his words via visual representation. The pointing obviously meant the creature, and the hugging motion was meant to symbolize that the creature wanted some sort of companionship.

Ho-o-o-o-
It understood and yet it didnt. It knew there was no attack meant on either of their parts, and yet it was lost to their deeper meanings. Was Asherah lost too? But she wasnt like him she was something else, but what else? And the other, he reached out with open arms, was he alone too? Did he want or need something to fill the space in his grasp. All these questions and so much more, how did the smaller one shed its flesh like that? What was "swim"? All of this while it tried to process one single word. It lacked so much data, it just lacked so much...The creatures eyes blinked again rapidly and its voice stuttered and repeated before it simply froze in place before crashing entirely. Its body falling limp against the strut yet again. This time for a bit longer than the time before, its eyes just barely regaining there glow.
-Ho-ome...
It said, straining for a moment as it gestured out again toward the sea. A light crackle emanating from inside it, as its eyes shifted from glowing green to white, the light casting against and past the length of his arm, just barely projecting an image out over the water. It was a patch image at best, covered deeply with static, with holes in the picture, and rapid sporatic blinks in which the picture seemed to fade or falter. It showed the dock on which they stood, and then zoomed forward across the water outwards until it reached a ice covered shore. The image was barely recognizable except to perhaps an individual who often sails, swims, or flys over the ocean.. But it showed something, it seemed to be an aerial view of "something", panning inward. A castle, an over-sized pillar, a tower? The image zoomed innards through a snow covered landscape seemingly scattered with buried white juts of something which one stood tall. It managed one word.
...source.
And then it faded entirely, the whirring sound from within the creature and its white eyes fell entirely dark and cold. Only a single twitch in the hand Asherah had touched remained, and a barely visible orange glow seeping from inside its chest.

...Guldor...
Ryugi's eyes recognized that flat icy terrain. There was only one place on Gaia that Ryugi knew had an icy shoreline. And THAT was the icy snowy continent of Guldor to the north. Ryugi then looked to Asherah and spoke again.
Thats what it tried to show us. It tried to show us Guldor, and what appeared to be a black tower of some sort, or some ruins. Either way, I think we have a destination...
What's your take on it?

Shifting and resting her weight on her right hip, Asherah pondered for a moment. Her eyes searched the little one, as if the answer was printed on it's body. With a snap of her fingers, she nodded and Turned to face Ryugi.
"Well, I suppose we should try and go there." She turned to the creature and kindly touched it's hand. "Is that where you want to go? Or take us little one? Cause we will follow you, and help."
Asherah shivered and quickly donned the clothes she had just tossed off. It was cold to say the least. And seeing the possible destination, it made her even colder.
"I think I may need warmer clothes..."

It stood mostly still save for the twitching and slight glow. It had entirely too much energy this night, and it was had to recuperate. It was forced. How exactly something like this recharges or recuperates is a total mystery however. Except to say that the answers werent going to be able to come from that slit in its face. Maybe more answers could be found "there"...wherever it had showed a few moments ago.
Of course the idea of travelling so far away, and bringing a 12ft monstrosity with them brought up issues of its own.

Perhaps. I could let you borrow my coat I suppose. As for transportation to get us there...well... THAT might be a little more difficult...
Ryugi didn't want to let on that he was a dragon, and could probably transform and carry all of them to Guldor. Besides, who knew what effect magic would have on this obviously weakened creature. It might have just been safer to rent a boat and sail the three of them there...

"Well. I could use my dice and summon a dragon. But it may scare the little one. I may be able to transform him too. But that would take a while."
Asherah's eyes met with Ryugi's, she could tell he wasn't your typical night in shining armor. In fact, she could have guessed what he was. Too many years has she walked the world to not have run into them.
"Boat then?"

(From the Arena thread, to Latent Hospital ER)
Rain was brought into the Latent Hospital in the arms of one, Maximos, and delivered promptly to a hospital bed, doctors rushing to his side. Being mostly still up to this point, he no longer put up any resistance. That was, at least, until Maximos had severed physical contact with him via the man's right arm.
Rain's right reached for his belt, grabbing at a steel canister there; but due to the fact that the hand was broken, he was unable to get a solid grip on it and it fell to the ground, clanking before rolling across the floor. Rain swung his left out, knocking over a tray of medical operating tools. Just as the doctors moved to restrain him, his back arched tightly, as if the weight of all these men was nothing.
Then he went limp. The heart monitor hooked up to his chest showed a flatline.
(Meanwhile, inside Rain's head)
Inside the sealed room was what appeared to be a library. There were dozens... no, hundreds of books here, all identical to one another with the same red binding. There was an unlit fireplace, not needed due to the ambient light the inner psyche provided. And most importantly, by the unlit fireplace, was an old man in a rocking chair, reading a book.
He looked a lot like Rain, plus about 30 or 40 years. He had very thin, white hair, many wrinkles and liverspots adorning his visage. His features were more defined than Rain's though, with more of a crooked nose, and his eyes were a soulless black, rather than a bright blue that Rain normally possessed.
He continued to read a bit more, before looking up from his book. "Whoever's out there, I see your snake. Just come in already, I don't bite." And after that, he went back to his book, seemingly uninterested by this new guest.
All the violent chatter that was echoing in Rain's head was fading away now, weakening until it was barely audible.

Owle heard the whispers, but was more than distracted by the scene unfolding in Rain's head. For now, she paid them no mind, only noted their presence. At first, she strained to catch the words, then realized they were likely not something Maximos wanted her to hear.
"I'll meet you there," she sent, then went back to her focus on Rain's inner world.
The snake in the library drew itself up, standing on its tail so that its black, void like eyes were level with those of the man. "If you don't mind, sir," it spoke up in Owle's voice. "I am the snake. Or, more accurately, the snake is me. We're part and parcel of one another, if you don't mind. Even if you do mind, there's no changing it."
Still, Owle moved closer to the door, contemplating how to get into it without opening it. She always assumed things in the mindscape were there for a reason, and she didn't like meddling with them - even something so simple as opening a door. Especially something so simple as opening a door.
...to be honest, she could probably just walk through it, but flagrantly disregarding the inner logic of someone's mind was just rude.
