Ishizu glanced fearfully from Kira to Khalid, her eyes pleading for some kind of explanation. She longed to hold Khalid's hand, but there was an expression on his face that made her think better of it. She drew a shaky breath, biting her bottom lip. "What's going on?!"
Khalid decided to play with Ishizu's mind for a moment. "Kira sold her soul to a demon, and Bakura gave up his loyality." He said, the coldness melting away from his face as he looked at Ishizu, takng a tight hold on her hand and softly brushing away some hair from her face. "Don't--" He winced as though in pain from his bleeding. "Don't worry, this isn't really Kira... The demon-- Vadin-- is just using her body... I will hold no grudge against her shooting me like that..." He slumped against the pillows as though he was getting faint from the bloodloss.

Kira growled slightly "Damnit khalid quit playing with her mind!....hmm should Ishowher first hand about your deal with vadin and shoot ya in the head cause you know I damn well want too."

Ishizu slipped her hand from Khalid's grip, backing into a wall, not sure who to believe. "But... Didn't you say Vadin is a demon? Did all three of you make a deal with him?" She asked, meaning Kira, Khalid, and Bakura, for Ryou's sake. "I don't understand... Why are you so angry at him? Someone just tell me the truth!"

She sighed"Alright i'll quote khalid on this. He said It's the reason why I am really about a thousand years old and how Vadin got a hold of Ryou in the first place. I won't give you all the details, but this is pretty much it: I was given pretty much eternal life, unless I ended it myself, and was put up for Shadi's position. Vadin will, of course, gain my soul when I choose to end my life, but I must go around, using the powers of Fate I have and the Millennium Items, and find suitable people. I am to become a part of their group, and then use my powers to sacrifice one to Vadin. So I indirectly made Bakura go in a trance and be full of an urge to do... things to Ryou, including the drugs. Remember how Ryou died in the first place? I planted ideas in Bakura and Atem's minds to have them duel like that. Yugi was never to die.As I had you believe. It was always Ryou. I messed up in not tainting his soul enough to send him to Hell. So that was why I helped him come back into the mortal world. I will admit that it was hard to play along, act like I was in a relationship with Ishizu to be close to this group, and accept some of the things Bakura would do to me, but it all worked out, didn't it? Ryou is with Vadin, another little offering of mine to him."

Ishizu's eyes widened, but she still wasn't sure what to think of this all. She had known Kira for longer, however, and had to trust her. "You... you..." She mumbled, staring at Khalid in fear. "Killed Ryou?" Her voice held uncertainty, since it was hard to absorb this information. The smirk on Khalid's face, however, confirmed Kira's story. "I trusted you, dammit!"
"You mortals always were easy to manipulate..." Khalid said with a chuckle, then looked over at Kira. "Oh, do you remember Leila?" He decided that if was to get all of this out now, he had better do a good job at it.

"I didn't do anything. Well, maybe at the end." Khalid said, flashing a grin. "While we had been betrothed, it was only because I was in that damned village to make another offering. She grew attached to me and found out about my deal with Vadin, and then swore to find some other way to kill me. She didn't manage that, as you can clearly see, but did find a... spell of some sort to put me in a trance. Do as she said. To try and find a weakness. Luckily for me, she didn't know about the whole deal, and never instructed me to kill myself. Foolish girl..."

"Tch. As if I'd tell you, even if I did." Khalid snorted, for the first time glad that he didn't know of it. Kira would have been able to dig around his mind and find out, and he let out a sigh of relief that he hadn't decided to keep Leila alive to find out.

"Kira!" Ishizu quickly avoided getting too near to Khalid's bed as she tagged after Kira. Tears sparkled in her eyes. "I just can't believe this; are you sure it's true? It's... it's not some joke you decided to play on me?" Her bottom lip quivered. "Ha ha, let's watch Ishizu get worried, but don't worry it was just fake blood, it was all a lie, something?"

Ishizu walked a short distance with Kira in silence, then asked softly, "Do you still hate Bakura? I mean, since it seems that he isn'tr eally to blame for hurting Ryou like that before... It was Khalid all along..."
